Based on a true story, Freefall is the tale of a fireman injured in the line of duty in Pueblo, Colorado. Badly broken in body and mind, he cuts himself off from family and friends and hooks up with a local loser who mirrors his own indifference and negativity.
This is a story of lost love and recovery, but also the magic and perseverance of the human spirit.
Having traveled the USA extensively, Mr. Geiger currently resides on the Delaware Bay in Cape May, NJ. He earned a BS degree from Southern Colorado State University and an MFA from Wichita State University. He worked as a probation officer in NJ for 25 years and taught boxing at the police academy for 12 years. His writing runs the gamut from off-beat and quirky to mainstream. An ironic sense of humor resonates throughout his work, like a rosy crucifixion. "I never want to write the same thing twice."
