Burgers & Brew Crüe #7

Too Young to Fall in Love

Rate this book
Kellen

I love my job. Bartending is more than just serving drinks to customers at the hottest bar and restaurant in Stewart Grove. It’s the people I work with and those I meet along the way. I know how to have a good time. Just one flirty little grin and the ladies are like putty in my hands. But they know the score: I’m a one and done guy, not looking to ever fall into the trap of love.

Then, a sweet, gorgeous coworker needs help, and I find myself offering up more than I should.

With Cameron Wright temporarily living with me, pretending to be my girlfriend, the lines begin to blur fast. She’s in my space and I suddenly have free rein to hold and kiss her.

Helping her might very well be my downfall.

Cameron

I keep to myself. Despite working as a server at the popular gourmet burger joint, I make sure my eyes are always ahead, focused on the prize: make enough tips to pay off my debts. When you carry around this much guilt every day, the weight slowly starts to drag you down, but I’m determined. My past will not define me.

Until one day, that past returns and is ready to rekindle our old relationship.

Cocky playboy Kellen McGregor steps up, not only offering a place to stay, but also a way to put space between me and my ex. Problem is, in no time, I find I like being with him.

I just need to remember he’s not the forever kind of guy.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

I have missed quite a few books in this series so I was glad that this could be read as a standalone. This review is kind of hard to write because I found it to be fine. Just fine. Don’t get me wrong, it had it’s cute moments and tropes that I like. Fake relationships, damsel in distress, and reformed playboy. With all that, I expected this to be a winner for me.

Cameron was sweet and Kellen was almost perfect. He really took care of Cameron during her time of need. They matched together and I was happy when they finally realized it.

As usual I loved the Burgers and Brew group. I love how they accepting they are of people in their group and how far they are willing to go to help them out.

This was low angst like I enjoy, but it also felt as if nothing really happened. It was really just their day to day life of working/living together and falling in love. Even the drama with the ex didn’t really take up as much of the story as I expected it to. It was solved quietly, and I had almost forgot about it entirely.

All in all, this was just an okay read for me. Not terrible, but also not very memorable either. Will I pick up the next one? Maybe, but who knows.

Too Young To Fall in Love will have you drawn into the storyline instantly and feeling a connection to it and the characters. Kellen is a player with a heart but one he has built a wall around to ensure love never crosses his path. Cameron is the quiet girl who has an ex that has put her through hell and back. When Cameron needs a shoulder to cry on, a place to stay and the care of a friend Kellen steps up. As lines blur between these two you will be on the edge of your seat and holding your breath. It is a storyline filled with passion, emotion and growth. Kellen will find that love with the right person might not be as scary as he thought. A story that steals your heart and has you falling in love.

I'm torn with this one. I really liked Cameron and hated how she struggled in the past, but loved how the guys helped her. She was working so hard on getting back her life and her self respect. Kellen on the other hand, for some reason I never warmed up to him, it didn't help that he had a man-whore reputation. I did like that he stepped up to help her when she needed it time and time again in this one, but I also felt like she deserved someone better. Kellen even did the hard thing and let Cameron go when she needed to claim her life again. All of that really didn't make me like him better.

4.5 stars for this workplace romance, friends-to-lovers, fake dating, small-town romance, rom-com.

This is a great series, with a lot of fun banter, steamy moments, and a touch of suspense/danger. Set around the bar Burgers and Brew where 4 best friends started their own business and each fell in love and they fell hard. It seems it's catching because the people that work for them/friends are all falling too.

Too Young To Fall In Love is the story of Cameron (wait staff) and Kellan (barman). We've seen these two popping up in the more recent stories. Cameron particularly in Garreth and Reagan's story. That's where we find out a little about her and the trouble she ended up in, which follows her into this story. We saw a lot of Kellan in Leo and Kallie's story since he worked closely with Kallie.

Kellan is the quintessential flirt behind the bar. He's a player and he's happy to admit it. He doesn't want to ever fall in love. Have fun and a good time but never risk going through the hurt he witnessed his parents go through.

Cameron is more quiet and shy and ended up with a dirtbag boyfriend who landed in trouble and ran away leaving her to deal with the consequences. That led Cameron to one of her biggest regrets ever but with Garreth and Reagan's understanding and support, she got through it and grew.

I love the camaraderie between the characters in this series. The back-and-forth banter, the support, and the care. They've built a whole family vibe around the bar and it makes you wish you were a part of their crüe.

Looks like Kellan's sister, Kinsley (country music star) and Tucker (brewery worker with Jameson) might be next. Keep your eyes peeled for the clues and see if you think so too. Looking forward to that one.
.
.
.
Cameron thought she was finally getting her life on track. It may be a simple life but she is happy. She still owes Garreth and Reagan but she can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Now her car has broken down and that will set her back a little. She's determined to make everything right again though.

Kellan loves his job behind the bar. There is an endless supply of women coming and going that he can take advantage of if chooses. He likes his simple life of fun living with no strings attached. Lately, though he can't keep his thoughts off Cameron. For the past few years, he's watched her grow and relax into her role. She draws him in without even trying and he finds wanting to make her laugh and smile makes him happy.
'She laughed in this carefree, happy way, her head thrown back as the sweetest sound spilled from her lips, and it was from that moment, I knew I'd spend every minute of my time here trying to hear it again.'

Cameron can admit that Kellan is not only easy on the eyes but he's sweet and fun. She's attracted to him but she's not looking for anything after what Cage did to her, she's just happy to be single. That doesn't mean she doesn't feel a zing around Kellan, but she's sure that he'd never think of her that way especially with a bar full of women after his attention.
'I glance to my left to where Cameron is standing and find her eyes... downward. On my ass.'

When Cage shows back up in town and makes it clear he wants Cameron back, she's not only mad but a little frightened. She's not sure he would ever actually hurt her, but he's far too pushy and intimidating making her uncomfortable and scared. When Kellan spots them together on more than one occasion he comes up with a plan. Guys don't like being rejected over and over again so if it looks like Cameron's moved on hopefully Cage will get the hint and move on too.

What starts as fake dating, ends with Cameron moving in temporarily with Kellan after her home is trashed. It looks like it can only be Cage but what does that mean for Cameron? Is he going to come after her next?

Kellan becomes increasingly protective of Cameron and fighting his attraction for her becomes harder and harder. Fake dating has its perks but keeping it fake isn't as easy as he hoped. The more time he spends with Cameron the more he wants her and likes her.
'The fact I've gotten to know her on a whole different level than any other woman is astonishing. Not just because of what she's shared, but because I actually want to learn it. All of it. Everything about her. And it's been a fucking week.'

Fake dating will end when Cage is dealt with and neither of them is sure what they really want when that happens.
'I'm sure being his pretend girlfriend will be easy, right? I just have to remember it's not real. At the end of the day, he's not my boyfriend, and when Cage is gone, I'll be all alone again.'

Happy Reading.

The four owners of Burgers and Brew, Walker, Numbers, Jasper, and Jameson, are all present at tonight's event. Everyone is celebrating one of their own, Kallie who just married, Leo that afternoon. Now they are hosting their reception. Since Kallie is a long-time bartender at, Burgers and Brew.
Someone who works alongside her is, Kellen McGregor. At thirty, he still has many women young, and more seasoned, offering him all kinds of x-rated things. This is along with others who are just leaving their numbers in hopes he will call. Kellen is known to all, but especially the people at work as, the one-and-done, the hit-it-and-quit-it, and fk-and-dump kind of guy. He does have a hard and fast rule. He is never crossing the line with any of the employees.
Kellen’s happy on this special day. But marriage is not for him. It gives him the heebie-jeebies. There will be a day, that a woman is going to knock him on his ass. All of them can’t wait, to have a front-row seat, to Kellen McGregor, the longtime bachelor getting gob stopped by love, Kallie says. Of course, he tells her, to bite her tongue.
It's when Kallie hugs, Cameron right next to him, and whispers something to her, that makes her laugh. Something registers in, Kellen that makes him pause. Something about this particular laugh makes his chest feel a bit tighter than, any other woman who has laughed around him. Maybe it has to do with the fact, Cameron doesn’t laugh nearly as much as she should.
What she does do from time to time, is check out, Kellen's ass. He would never make a play for, Cameron because they work together. There’s a bit of an age difference, seven years, to be exact. Cameron’s gorgeous, but she is more reserved, and quiet. He usually goes for…easier. When her car won’t start, and Kellen offers her a ride home, the attraction begins.
Kellen is one of the most charismatic guys she’s ever known. Even though he’s always got some comment, Cameron never felt uncomfortable or threatened by him. The more they became comfortable with one another the more he got to hear her spontaneous laughter. And wants it to continue, always. There was an incident that involved, Cameron and B & B but the owners handled it so when the so-called ladies' book club start gossiping and nosing around he sets them straight in, Kellen fashion.
He hates gossip. Being a part of the gossip-hit-squad as a kid hurt. When they went after his sister, an up-and-coming country artist, who is killing it. That just pisses him off. Being broke all the time and having, to pay the debt her ex left her with, she works as much as possible. So, if someone calls, and needs off she’s there. No car, hot weather, and that means overheated, Cameron when she arrives. But, that’s not all that gets her blood boiling.
Her lowlife ex thinks he can walk back in as if, he only went to the corner store, a year ago. Nope, Cameron found her backbone. In the form of, her older sexy co-worker, and a whole new community of friends. But, her ex is not going down easy, and neither is, Kellen. He has found his forever he just hasn’t figured it out.
A very funny story. I felt for, Cameron. Living in fear is no way to live at all. To be so broke, tired, and feeling like am I doing enough, giving enough, or am I even enough. Makes you think now I want to start at the beginning of the series and meet all the other characters from the beginning. Can’t wait for Tucker’s story he deserves it.

Waitress Cameron and bartender Kellen.

Mixing business with pleasure are two Burgers and Brew Crue employees Cameron and Kellen in this seventh book of this series. Kellen is a one night stand guy. Zero entanglements for him. He had a rough childhood with parents who should never have married. He and his little sister Kinsley are close because of that. Nope, he is not following in the footsteps of his owners, no walk down any aisle for him.
Cameron is just trying to keep her head above water. Her ex-boyfriend left her with a mountain of his debt and she is just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Cameron enjoys the restaurant side of the business, she loves waiting on people.
Kellen is watching Cameron a little too much. She is not on his “go home with” list but he keeps an awful close eye on her when she works. Cameron’s ex is back in town. He’s visited the bar and it was made very clear he is not welcome. Then he shows up at the grocery store. He’s ready to get back together. Kellen volunteers to drive her home and watch out for her.
Cameron comes home from work and her place has been trashed, like less than ten percent is salvageable. What bothers Cameron the most is the cost of replacing everything, that puts her pay off day even longer. Scared, she takes Kellen’s offer of staying at his place a few days. With nightmares she heads to Kellen’s room and bed.
What bothered me about this story goes back to the book where Cameron is stealing from the restaurant. When the boys find out they help her not fire her. I was surprised they didn’t call the police. Her ex owed a drug dealer not the hardware store. Then when trouble starts up the police aren’t notified there is a drug dealer back in town, hassling one of their employees. The ex at the end is very anti-climatic. I felt the story could have had more kick.
Guess what? Wedding bells will soon be ringing. So much for not following the owners.

You can't go wrong with this fake relationship small-town romance. Kellen and Cameron's chemistry was off the charts.

This is the 7th book in the Burgers and Brew Crue series. This one can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the entire series for a better experience. Both Kellen and Cameron have appeared in previous books, Kellen as one of the bartenders and Cameron as one of the waitresses. If you read What’s It Gonna Take you know a little bit about Cameron’s past with her ex. If you haven’t read it, don’t worry everything gets explained.

Cameron is working hard to get herself back on track when her ex returns to town and doesn't get the hint that she has no interest in getting back together. He’s the reason she’s having to work so hard to put her life back in order. Her flirty coworker Kellen steps in and tells her ex that they are dating. After her ex breaks in and destroys her house and her sense of security, Kellan offers Cameron a place to stay and suggests the two continue with the fake relationship until everything is resolved with her ex.

I either love the fake relationship trope or not, this was PERFECT. The way things came about was so genuine and everything flowed seamlessly.

Kellen and Cameron were so much fun and I instantly fell in love with them together. I LOVED all the flirty banter. Kellen is the perfect reformed playboy and the changes in him had a natural progression. Kellen’s past has made him swear off relationships, but he proves to be the perfect “fake” boyfriend. He’s swoony, caring, and protective. Cameron was such a gentle and kind-hearted person. They are perfect together!

I loved all the chemistry, the spice, the romance, the banter, the angst, the small-town vibes, and the strong found family element. I will always adore the Burgers and Brew Crue and this one proves to be another spectacular addition.

All Cameron wants to do is pay off her debts and be independent. She loves her job at Burgers and Brew and has been busy cleaning up the mess her ex left her in for the past year. She’s vowed never to let a man rule her life again and plans to stick to it, But, when Cameron’s ex shows back up in town, she’s scared for her life . . . especially after her place is trashed. She’ll have to rely on her friends to keep her safe until the threat is past.

Kellen loves his job as a bartender. It allows him to flirt as much as he wants and have some no strings attached fun. He’s here for a good time and will never have a relationship, thanks to his parents constant fighting during his childhood. But, when Cameron needs help and a safe place to stay, he immediately offers not only his home, but also the safety of a fake relationship, to try and chase her ex out of the picture.

But, the relationship they begin forming doesn’t feel all that fake . . .

This series just keeps getting better and better. And, while Too Young to Fall in Love can be read as a standalone, why would you when every book has been completely fabulous!

I love the fake relationship / forced proximity tropes and they worked so well in this book. I adored watching all of the bosses and their wives rally around Cam when she needed them both. I was thrilled at the slow burn between Cam and Kellen that started as friendship and very quickly became more. It’s always fun watching a playboy become reformed . . . without him even realizing it! This couple had amazing chemistry and was also sweet as can be as they found their way together. I also can’t wait for Kinsley’s story, which is up next . . . that little tease has me all kinds of excited! 5 stars!

Oooo how I missed Burgers & Brew Cure. I've been a huge fan of this series since book one and it keeps on delivering. In book 7 we get to see the impossible flirt aka Kellen, getting knocked to his knees by the shy, down on her luck Cameron.

Kellen is a definition of a protective man. When danger comes to Cam’s door, he can’t help but offer his help until she gets back on her feet. What this self-proclaimed bachelor for life is not ready for, is the way how Cam got under his skin and how much he came to like it.

Cameron has had a rough couple of years and all she’s trying to do is keep her head above water, and repay her debt to all who helped her when she needed it the most.
When her ex shows up again, her life is once again shaken, but with the help of Kellen, she slowly but surely starts rebuilding her confidence and her life. And this slow burn was what made this book perfect in my eyes. They both felt the attraction, but Kellen was determined to not let it cloud everything they shared while spending time together. As it turned outs, being friends first, made the love they felt for each other that much stronger.

I’ve been a huge fan of Lacey Black for a few years now and I’m so happy to see that my love for her continues to grow with each book she delivers. Something about her style just speaks to me and I’m definitely here for what comes next.

Having read the six previous installments in this series I've been looking so forward to more! As soon as this seventh book was announced I wanted to pick it up. I got right back into the Burgers and Brew Crüe world! I so enjoyed this story!

Kellen and Cameron's journey captured my attention and didn't let go! Both Kellen and Cameron have worked together for some time now at Burgers and Brew. Kellen is a bartender and Cameron is a server. Kellen isn't one for relationships and Cameron is just trying to move forward. When certain circumstances wind up with these two fake dating, can they handle the real?

I really liked how I got right into Kellen and Cameron's story. I enjoyed the fact that these two worked together and the different way they were brought closer. I didn't know how they'd tackle their situation from the fake to the real which pulled me even more into their story.

Both Cameron and Kellen had dealt with things in their lives and that had me connecting with them even more. They were different and the way they got each other was so wonderful. From the chemistry that was undeniable to the feels they brought, I thoroughly enjoyed Cameron and Kellen's story!

It was so awesome being back with this Crüe! Makes me happy to return to this series every time.

With Too Young To Fall In Love, Ms.Black has created such a good read that brought feels and steam! She showed how letting someone in can be everything. I can't wait to dive back into this series with book eight, Without You! 💚

We finally have Stewart Grove’s eligible and sexiest playboy and oh boy does Lacey Black show all of him. Of all the Crew men we have seen so far Kellen is one guy that shows mystery all over. Kellen is definitely the sexiest and there is so much we don’t know about him. Just like Cameron he is all hiding something about his past and boy when he finally lets it all out Lacey Black just gets us more excited. The one member though that finally is coming around is Cameron. We saw a little of her in the past and boy this is one girl that has not had luck on her side in life and well in love. She is unlike any woman Kellen has been with and yet somehow he is always on her tail. Somehow she is the only woman that is making him feel things he’s never felt before which scares him. Cameron is hell bent on getting her life back together and any feelings towards Kellen is not something she needs right now. The thing is no matter how much she denies the attraction Kellen is her go to guy. Not only do we see these to go from friends to lovers but seeing them maneuever into this relationship was quite an eye opener for Kellen. I loved seeing him so afraid of falling in love and then wham we see him become a man who really loves all her has in him. Cameron is one lucky girl and the way Lacey Black shows her to trust again is magic in a way she never saw comng. All in all this series has come so far and seeing Jasper, Numbers and even Jameson again was a great treat. Loved it.

What an AMAZING trip back to Stewart Grove Too Young to Fall in Love is! Lacey Black NAILED this one....Kellen and Cam are FIRE together! And, of course, it was awesome to visit with and get updates on all the guys and their wives!

Kellen, the resident flirt/playboy barkeep at Burgers and Brew is perfectly happy with his life. He's single, has all the "company" he needs when he wants it and has absolutely no intention of ever having a relationship or falling in love! After all, it rarely works out and the fallout isn't worth it in his opinion....until his work relationship with a certain server who finds herself in a situation out of her control changes everything he believes to be true!

Cam has had an extremely difficult couple of years, but she is finally on track to getting her life back in order when her dirt-bag ex, Cage, comes back to town looking to pick up where they left off! Cam wants NOTHING to do with him or his criminal ways. He's the reason she's been having such a difficult time and she's smart enough to tell him where to go. He's just not taking the hint, so Kellen steps in (and up) and the stage is set for their fake relationship.

As the danger to Cam increases, not only Kellen but the whole crew at Burgers and Brew step up to help out. When her house is trashed, Kellen offers her a place to stay with him until everything is resolved. The sparks that have been flying since almost day one between Cam and Kellen are about to become an INFERNO! Will they survive the blast or will they burn up in the aftermath?

I am so in love with this series and with these characters who bring all the banter, all the heat and all the love you could possibly need! I can't wait for the next book in one of my fave series EVER!

5 SMOOCHES!

Too Young to Fall in Love by Lacey Black is the seventh book in The Burgers and Brew Crüe series, and I’m just as smitten with these characters and this world as I was when I picked up the first book. Engaging plots, heart-string pulling emotion, sexy romances and endearing characters are the foundation this series is built upon, making it a fan favorite from the talented Lacey Black, who is known for her wonderful small-town romances.

Black masterfully weaved a story that was both heartwarming and suspenseful. Kellen is the Burgers and Brew bartender, and he’s a bit flirty, a notorious playboy and definitely not looking for a relationship. Cameron is a server at Burgers and Brew, and she’s dealing with her bad-guy ex who really wants her back and isn’t taking no for an answer. Thus begins Kellen and Cam’s fake relationship, and as the drama swirling around Cam starts to turn dangerous, it isn’t long before the rest of the Burgers and Brew crew is in on the action. Kellen and Cam are friends, but there has always been sparks of chemistry between them. The closer they get and the more time they spend together, though, the hotter things get, and the more those lines between them start to blur.

Too Young to Fall in Love was a total page-turner, and Lacey Black crafted a suspenseful, steamy, heartfelt romance that kept me glued to my Kindle. Five smooches from me for Too Young to Fall in Love by Lacey Black!

Too Young To Fall in Love is the latest installment in author Lacey Black's Burgers and Brew Crue series and it's delicious!

Kellen is the super sexy, ultra flirty bartender at the bar restaurant owned by the Brew Crue. He's like flirty fly paper attracting women in droves. For years, he's been happy to sample what they've had to offer but each knows the score. After his parent's nasty divorce, Kellen doesn't believe in love. He's the consummate player but he's got a massive heart alongside his other attributes!

Cameron is a shy waitress trying her best to start over in the wake of her relationship with manipulative, narcissistic asshole, Cage. When Cage left, not only did he shatter her confidence but he left her holding the bag full of his debts and cleaning up his mess. She's slowly getting back on her feet with the help of good friends when Cage reappears looking to pick up where they left off, and he's not used to hearing no, necessitating some changes to her living arrangements. Kellen and Cameron share a house while things play out. Both try valiantly to ignore their chemistry but the magnetic connection between them is too powerful to resist.

Kellen and Cameron are relationship goals. Neither of them even knew what all they wanted and needed until it was in front of their faces. Kellen was a powerful mix of protective, sexy and a good friend. Cameron was both vulnerable and also gaining strength in her recovery. Fantastic new addition to an all-around fab series!

All the swoony healing love

I loved Kellen and Cameron’s coworkers, fake relationship. It was full of passion, sweetness, acceptance, healing, big feels, and love. I have a soft spot for the people who are a bit uncomfortable in their skin because they don’t feel like they fit in or are worthy, like Kellen and Cameron. So I love when they finally see their truth and their worth and they get swoon worthy HEAs. Kellen is a 30 yo bartender and happy bachelor/player. He has experienced the mess relationships are and wants no part of the trap of love. Cameron is 23 yo and a server at the same bar. After her last relationship imploded her entire life, she has no desire to do that again. There is chemistry and attraction between Kellen and Cameron but neither one is interested in acting on it until Cameron’s unsavory ex comes looking for her. A fake relationship seems the perfect solution to the problem but feelings rarely stay in the boxes we try to keep them in. The longer Kellen and Cameron pretend, the more real things start to become but going from fake to real will take a leap of faith. The heartwarming story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline with a smidge danger and suspense as shown through sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, healing, and heart squeezing love. I love this restaurant and bar and how it embraces all the found family.

The Burgers and Brew Crüe is back and RED HOT with this latest release featuring Kellen and Cameron. I always love a good fake relationship that turns into a real love and Lacey Black checks all the boxes on making this one a new favorite!

Kellen is a flirty bartender who is enjoying his life solo. His parents’ divorce/relationship has him keeping women at an arm’s length while also ensuring that they know the (limited) terms of a relationship. He’s sweet, caring, and has all the bones of being the quintessential perfect boyfriend for someone.

Cameron has made some poor choices in her young life and is working hard to rebuild the trust she’s lost in people and get herself out of a destructive pattern. Her success is slowed down when her ex shows up and doesn’t take the hint that she is done with him. Instantly, I swooned when I Kellen steps up to the plate to help Cameron ward off the scumbag.

As in true fashion of the Crüe, they want what is best for their employees (who are more like family) and are on board with helping the pair through this situation in any way possible. I do love how their intimacy blooms from their bedtime snuggling and open communication. The illusion of the fake relationship enables them to open their hearts without even realizing what is happening, until they’re head over heels. And I’m here for every moment! We get glimpses at all the previous couples, updates on their lives, and all the sweet happenings going on with their families.

I received a complimentary copy for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

So while this book is a standalone (all books in this series are technically), a reader really need to have read the last couple to get a deeper feel for the side characters that appear. Except for book 6, that one was really a stand-alone. But forsure you need to read book 5 to know what’s going on in this book. Both Kellen and Cameron both work at the bar where all these books are set and Cameron’s life has been such a mess after getting caught in a mess with her ex boyfriend. Kellen and Cameron start fake dating to get her ex boyfriend off her back setting off a domino effect of events. This book had such a potential to be more action forward or even more events happen with the ex boyfriend but it really focused just on the budding relationship between the two of them. This book is a perfect palette cleanser if your looking for a sweet, small town romance with a touch of spice but a whole bucket full of swoon. The authors really set us up for the next book unlike any other book in this series and I can’t wait to see where Kellen's sister takes us next.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

The below are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first
Kickstart My Heart (Burgers and Brew Crue #1)
Don't Go Away Mad (Burgers and Brew Crüe #2)
Same Ol' Situation (Burgers and Brew Crüe #3)
Wild Side (Burgers & Brew Crüe #4)
What's It Gonna Take (Burgers & Brew Crüe #5)
Home Sweet Home (Burgers & Brew Crüe #6)

This is Cameron and Kellen’s story. He is a bar tender, and she is a server. She is working to pay off debts and is not interested in anything else. But she ran from the past and no it has come to collect. He steps up and takes her in and tells her he will protect her. Can she trust him? He thinks love is a trap that he never wants to deal with. But what happens when she starts falling for him. Will she be able to get hin to believe in love again? Or will she be gone as soon as the danger is?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Cameron has been working hard to overcome the mistakes of her past which all began by being with the wrong man. With the help of the guys at Burgers and Brews she is building a future until the man from her past returns and doesn’t want to accept that she has moved on. In order to dissuade him she not only pretends to being dating Cameron, but circumstances unfold that have her living with him as well.

Kellen is a bartender at Burgers and Brews who is enjoying his commitment free single life as he has seen firsthand the damage that being with the wrong person can cause. He has feelings for Cameron so he is willing to help her out of the situation she finds herself in but they are both about to find out that friends and a fake relationship may not be enough.

The banter is humorous, the connection between Kellen and Cameron goes beyond the physical and it is always fun to catch up with the other characters in this series and experience the deep friendships they share with each other.

There was so much in this book that I was continually flipping pages as fast as I could to keep up with these two. Kellan was full on playboy. He knew he could pull his smirk and dimple out to get anything he wanted. He also worked hard at not using that on any co-workers. That was until Cameron needed help and he had stepped in. Cameron has worked hard to get to the point she was at. It took over a year of working hard and proving that she was worthy of the second chance she got at her job. When her ex comes back and thinks that they will pick up, Kellan happens to be there to help her out. As these two are in a fake relationship the lines get very thin and one night they go away all together. I actually really liked these two together. Cameron is truly so sweet and just wants to prove that she can be independent at the same time as learning to trust herself again. Kellan is there to help remind her that she is worthy of friends and the Brew Crue are there to be the family she needs.

“Too Young To Fall in Love” is the latest addition to the Burgers and Brew Crue, and in my opinion a wonderful addition.

To be honest, I have been burned out when it comes to the genera of ‘Fake Romance’, but Black had this one feeling anything but. It was just so genuine that I forgot all about it being fake.

Black is an amazing story teller and that hasn’t changed. I so loved that Cameron and Kellens story was low angst, but still done with depth and development. That chemistry though? It is what made this book for me. Again, it was genuine, and just felt right.

I adored Kellen. I loved how he didn’t let his past define him when it truly mattered. I loved how he didn’t dwell on things. And Cameron, was so relatable. Which made it easy for me to place myself in her shoes to understand every decision she made.

Now, I have assumed whose book is next in this series and if I am correct, I can tell it’s gonna be banger. So fingers crossed there.

Pure romantic magic is unleashed yet again at the hand of Lacey Black, the 7th book in a series that I never want to end, Kellen and Cameron will have your swoon heart racing from the start, and gentle, soft-hearted Cameron will embed herself into your soul, trusting the wrong guy has lead her now to keep mostly to herself, she loves working at the Burger snd Brew, but she can't help the blush that comes to her cheeks every time she is near head barman Kellen but, Cameron knows he is a 'love em and leave em' type of guy and, and if he knew about her past he might not have the spark of heat in his eyes she sees every time they are close. Kellen has never believed in relationships, but the more time he is around Cameron, the more he rubs at his heart when Cameron's past comes calling so does danager, Kellen is there to protect the woman that is starting to mean everything to him, and the heat that is between them finally ignites.

I freaking loved this story so much! Lacey brought her best writing out in this one! Cameron and Kellen have taken over my heart! 5 stars for this one!
Cameron has been trying to live her life quietly after her mistake with the Burgers and Brew Crue, just trying to keep her head above water. When her ex shows up back in town, the guys come forward to protect her no matter what. Kellen especially jumps in, there is just something about Cameron that makes him want to help her. So when push comes to shove, he takes control and pretends to be her boyfriend. The sparks fly between these two, but in their minds its just a show their putting on to make everyone believe their a couple.
Read along as their story unfolds, and their love grows for each other, but will they admit to each other their true feelings?
You have to read this one, another hit in this series that I absolutely love!

Too young to fall in love

Burgers & Brew Crüe #7

By Lacey Black

Rating: ⭐ 5/5

Emotions: ❤️ 5/5 🌶️5/5

Kellen and Cameron’s story is about when lines get blurred, when friendship turns slowly into something more.

Both made appearances in some of the former books, so we already know a little about them.

Kellen has built a wall around his heart in the fear of love. His parents sort of teached him that, so he goes for a good time only and is known as a player.

Cameron has had a really bad past with her ex. After he left her to deal with the consequences of his actions, she needed support.

The sparks that were flying between them as is the fear that is constant there. Can she make him believe in love? And will she stay when the danger is gone?

A lot of emotions and a happy end in the best kind of way.

I love that the Burgers and Brew Crue just keeps expanding. I hope we never run out of couples to come out of this bar and Stewart Grove.

Kellen is one of the bartenders and Cameron is a server at Burgers and Brew. They have always worked opposite shifts so have just been coworkers and nothing more. However when Cameron’s ex comes back and starts causing issues, Kellen is the first person there to help her out. This is a situation that a fake relationship will obviously solve.

Kellen has always been anti relationships and love, especially at such a young age! (He made me feel better about being 30 😂) but I appreciated that once he had Cameron in front of him he wasn’t in any sort of denial. Kellen was Cameron’s safe haven along with the rest of the Crue. They were certainly what each other needed.

I am here for this series!! Each book I think is my favorite…and then out comes another installment and WHAM that is my new favorite.

Kellen works as one of the bartenders at Burgers and Brew, while Cameron is a server there. While both having an “attraction” towards each other, they have never acted on it. Until Cameron’s past comes knocking on her door. She wants no part of it and Kellen steps up to be the man she needs. Although she just maybe the women he needs.

Seriously – I loved these two!! I was all about the chemistry, the banter, the flirty winks, the semxy scenes and Kellen’s panty melting smiles – here for it ALL!! Plus, we cannot leave out the rest of the crew as Numbers, Jasper, Jameson, and Walker (and their women) all help create a spectacular storyline! I cannot wait for the next book to come out!

Another fabulous addition to the Burgers and Brew series. Cameron and Kellen’s story has a bit of it all, low angst, lots of flirting, plenty of laugh out loud moments and steamy sexy times.

We learn a little about Cameron from a past book, but we really get to dive into her character this time around. She feels she doesn’t deserve the HEA after her past digressions, but you can’t help but feel terrible for her when you learn the truth. Kellen is the flirty happy go lucky coworker that she tries to avoid at all costs, but when her past shows up and wants things to go back to the way they were, Kellen might just be her knight is shining armor.

These two will keep you guessing and on your toes, their chemistry is combustable but you can’t help but root for them nonetheless.

I absolutely love this world that Lacey has written! I love spending time at Burgers and Brew. I love hanging out with the Crüe. And I love meeting newish characters and watching their lives unfold.

We know Kellan and Cameron, both employed at B&B, both of them believe that love just isn’t in the cards for them. But in a strange turn of events, life has thrown them together.

Read this book, watch them fall, this is a steamy slow burn that is going to hook you at page one and just not let you go! This is the 7th book in this series of standalones, and no you don’t need to read them all, but you are going to connect better and have a better experience if you do! Lacey Black writes stories I love to read.
