Nothing happened really in this book. There was the same repeat and drawn out scenes. Parker is really irritating, but so is everyone else really. The whole plot is just drawn out, we still don’t know why Emily was taken and what Max wants with her.
What’s more frustrating is that it’s been a year since book 4 was released and there’s no indication about book 5. So we’re left hanging and wondering.

Emily and Carter are back! If you've read the first 3, you know the pickle Emily finds herself in and Carter is having a whole mess of self realizations when it comes to her. I'm excited for the next book and finding out what happens next!

Save Me is Good

I like the story and original plot. This book (#4) seems to be more of a filler. There isn't a lot of action; instead, the characters are thinking / talking. The chapters are short, which can be good but not here, as it disrupts the action. The main character will be talking and you think action is going to happen, when the chapter ends. Next chapter, the main character is in a different location. Nothing is explained and then no action happens. Also, there are a bunch of contradictions. For example, the main character, Carter, in one scene, tells us that no one can read him, the next, someone seems to be able to see into his soul. Lastly, this book needed a proofreader. I do want to see how the buildup concludes, so I will be continuing with the series.
