I tried to run. I tried to hide. But look where it got me. Captured and held firmly in the grasp of my HellBeast King. One still intent on completing the claim he feels he has on me. Which I knew meant only one thing, Making me his, in every single way. By claiming my heart, then my blood, and now the very last thing left of me to give… He wants my body. But after having my heart trampled on, and after I had been willing to hand it over freely... Will I now finally accept what he calls my fate? Will I let go of my fears at having my heart broken again? Or will I forever now have to be...
Stephanie Hudson is a #1 Amazon bestselling Author. She had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream.
Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. The Transfusion Saga will also be a 12 book series once book 12 is released in May 2021. Other spin -off books and series are also available with lots more planned.
When not writing, Stephanie enjoys chatting with her fans and spending time with her friends. Being with her loving family as much as she can including her wonderful daughter Ava, sons Jack and Halen and supportive husband and personal muse Blake, who is there for her no matter what.
If you loved the last book, you'll love this one too. I genuinely love Stephanie Hudson's books. She is amazing at coming up with story lines, but I just don't understand why it has to drag on, repeating lines over and over again unless it's pushing word count. The book was saved in the end to draw us to yet another book, please let it be less worried about word count and more so on the plot. Unique name Koro, especially when I searched that name on Google 😂.
I've loved most of the characters and stories around the Afterlife series. However, this book lost me. Ella seems to have departed from her late 20s age to 16. She lost her original park ranger self confidence. And Jared Cerberus, badass demon king, puts up with little girl stupid drama? It's not believable and it's boring. I hope the finale is truly grand because this series should have wrapped up at least a book ago. Sorry, not sorry. Not into whimpy, whiny, simpering female characters.
After book 4 in the series I was in two minds whether to keep in buying these books but I'm so glad I did .This book is Stephanie Hudson at her absolute best , great storylines & enough emotions to leave you exhausted , where book 4 was a beginning ,a load of waffle & an end , this book is fantastic from start to finish , sad to see one of my fav characters is a "bad guy" but I think he could find redemption , really looking forward to book 6
Well, Ella is still an immature and frustrating woman. Jared is still a hottie making bad decisions. The mystery continues, really no answers in this book, just more questions. This might have been a 3.5 star rating if not for the many typos.
I am really loving this story line but twice now I’ve thought it’s going to be the last book because in the series tab it doesn’t show another book coming out.. doesn’t say book six going to be released in so and so month. Sadly I’m the type of person that I prefer to read a series when all books are done for I can not help wanting to read from start to finish and I read so much it’s hard to keep track of what has happened in previous books. Just some advice maybe post on there that it’s not a finished series yet.
I have to start out with I loved the storyline and characters. I couldn't wait to read more about all of them. That's what kept me reading for 5 books. I will now stop. The long breath explanation of certain things, 3 pages explaining how someone is dresses or how a bathroom looks is just to much filler. Over and over. And I'm not sure about the proofreading cause the grammar is sometimes really hard to comprehend and faulty. Sad really as I wished I could keep going to see the story finished.
I hate when a series posts 5 OF 5 in the series and then end book #5 on a f***ing cliff hanger It's not fair to fans and it honestly makes me not want to start another of your books
Ok to begin with I've got a little moan first and that is.....
Why does Ella never think twice or better still, actually give someone a break and do the same shi!t again?!?!
Ok moan over with....
So other than....you know what ^^^....this is another great book.
It's exciting and even when things seem to finally be going right, you're just biding your time, cos let's face it this is Stephanie Hudson, so you just know that sh!ts about to hit the fan.
And yes, she doesn't disappoint at all. Car chases, lots of running, roaring, fists thrown and kicks landing, all followed up by more soul sucking kisses!!
Let's not forget about all the other stuff out there, like ex-wife, hellhounds and Garmr.....who can forget about those eh??
So do yourselves a favour and get with the buying and reading the book.
Now as always we need to move onto audio. We have yet again Alyssa Avery narrating and she does a great job, but Marcus is back with a new accent. But if you've already had all the other audios, you'll by now be used to this phenomenon 🙄🙄
But other than that it's good enough to be worth the money or credit. So enjoy both or just the book, either way it's going to keep you happy 😏😏
Holy hot sauce this book! Finally I have been waiting for them to get over their shit and it finally happened! Then of fucking course THEY NECEOMANCE THE WIFE!!!! Okay not fully brought back but enough to fuck shit up. Let's talk about Orsin being Koro? (I'm listening to this story so I'm not sure on spelling) brother and no wonder he didn't want to kiss her! Or move their relationship along. Because brother dearest would have had a shit storm. I'm ready for them to finally adress, Garma? And fight and I am so ready for them to just be together. I know I got like 4 more books, at least. I don't mind it being drawn out. Like how many times can one girl be stolen? But I'm hoping it will he more rescuing now since they figured their shit out. I want to read the other series in this world with these people. I feel like I'm missing some story when they keep referring back to this battle 3 months ago.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Okay I'll admit to this but I didn't like this book as much as the other ones.
I feel like they finally got their cute little thing going on and I don't know why but Ella and Jared were both a bit stupid and annoying and immature in this book especially what Jared said to Orth and what Ella heard and done. I think it's just the fact that it's the same argument again and a bit annoying especially about Lerna.
Now don't get me wrong the plot is good. I'm very excited to see what is actually happening especially who Koro really is along with how Lerna even got into the book and how even Ella managed to get Hellhounds to her. I think I have more questions than answers but for me it's a good thing. Stephanie Hudson's books always answers all questions at the end of the series
✔️ fantasy romance ✔️ fated mates ✔️ hellbeast ✔️ possessive mmc ✔️ on the run (again)
The same high octane ride that drew you in the first time is still keeping you on the edge of your seat for another ride with the same action and characters you know and love. It's always a thrill a minute when you are reading one of the books and you can't put it down and then you can't wait for the next one when it is over. Love this series as well as the Afterlife and Transfusion sets. This is by far the best world I have been drawn into ever. Can't wait for the next book to drop. Do yourself a favor and start one of the series, soon you will be as wrapped up as the rest of her readers.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 5th in the Hellbeast King series and ends in a cliffhanger. This book was not my favorite. I am surprised by this fact. Ella and Jared finally mate! Ella, however, is so wishy-washy. She loves him but doesn’t trust what she hears while eavesdropping. No one will hear anything good eavesdropping. Instead of having a serious discussion with Jared, she runs. Again.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. More of who is tracking Ella is revealed, along with bringing back a friend. I did not like Ella’s attitude throughout the book, though.
Good lord, but I don’t know if my heart is going to hold out! I just want to snatch Ella up and shake the crap out of her. Some of the ideas she gets in her head! I know, I know some of her thoughts aren’t impossible to understand. BUT…she always runs off half cocked and inevitably ends up in mortal danger! How she can think that Jared still loves his dead wife is beyond my understanding. Poor Jared, by the time this series is over he’s going to have a head full of gray hair! If he survives that is. And this ending?!? Seriously? Can things get any more convoluted? I’m on to book 6. I know it’s going to be even more shattering and I can’t wait!
Hellbeast’s Prisoner by Stephanie Hudson is a 5 ⭐️ read. Last book of the year and what a way to end 2022, we were pulled further into the Hellbeast’s world and his chosen one Ella. This book gave us Ella and Jared alone getting to know each other and trying to deal with trust issues, I spent the whole book rooting for them to get it together but there wouldn’t be a great storyline if it was over with that easily ❤️ I can’t recommend this author enough, you won’t regret picking up any of her books.
I love, love, love this book and series. Jared and Ella are my favorite. Their journey to be together has been filled with up and more downs. The struggle for them is real. He's a hellbeast "Cerberus" love that man and she is a human. Ella likes to jump to conclusions about things and doesn't know the whole story that causes some serious issues. So can't wait for the next book. I need it now. A must read for anyone who likes dominate men, demons, and a women who can put her hellbeast on his knees!!
Book 5 of the hellbeast series spin off from afterlife and transfusion and afterlife academy series
I absolutely loved this book Ella has so much sass and is quick witted while letting doubt get the best of her. Jared making stupid mistakes protecting the woman he loves. Lots of questions answered in this book. But more left unanswered as we await the next book in this series.
I couldn’t put this instalment down and cannot wait to get sucked into Ella and jareds next book
The action scenes are well written. Very descriptive but not overly so that you lose focus on what’s going on. Plus the depth of each character as the story goes on. Each character has a unique personality and yet when you put them all together it can be quite comical intertwining well with the flow of the story. Ever since I found afterlife I have not been able to put any of the trilogies down. Stephanie Hudson is truly a gifted writer with a fun personality which shows in her imagination of these worlds she creates. 🤗
Thank you, Stephanie hudson! Thank you for the extra world i get to live in when i read your books. The only thing i can't seem to stand is always the ending because, well, i never want it to end. Gives me a piece of mind when i need the world to be quiet! As always, it was amazeballs!!!! Until the next book, you keep writing so i can keep reading!
Stephanie Hudson has written another exciting book in this hard to put down, sexy and intriguing series! While we learn more about the Hellbeast's world we also journey further I not the mysterious ties that Ella has to this world herself! Will she embrace her role journey in Jared's world or will her stubborn denial keep coming between her and Jared's Happily Ever After? Can't wait for Stephanie's next Hellbeast book!!
took me a while longer to get through this book, due to the ever knowing runner, in all books 🙈 I think I've hit my limit on the similar story line in this series, but thankfully not long after it was rectified.
overall loved it though, a good read and I do love Stephanie hudsons books, a few grammar mistakes and majorly over use of words again, but still doesn't stop me reading her books, they are overall good.
Book 5 of Hellbeast's is not disappointing it's as great as the other 4 books and as usual you didn't want it to end. From start to finish it keeps you hooked all the way through and on the edge of your seat at some points. Ella and Jared you just want to hang there hears together with so much, trust issues and love and all I can say is this series is a must read of the supernatural world .
I like the word that’s been built and hate to give a negative review because of how much I’ve enjoyed Stephanie’s books. The communication issues between the main characters and running away is getting really tiring. Its every book and every series. I almost didn’t finish and had to take a break in order to power through. I honestly don’t know at this point if I’ll read the next book.
I have to give The Hellbeast’s Prisoner five stars. Once again, I couldn’t put the book down. I don’t even mind the cliffhanger this time - just means I can re-read the prior books before book six gets here. I’m always amazed by the way Stephanie’s mind works; her imagination never disappoints. And if you haven’t already read her other books, you need to get busy.
I love Ella and Jared’s story and book 5 was so fantastic that I’m still smiling from ear to ear because they finally came together and it was beautiful. Also, there is so much chemistry between these two that I’m still fanning myself.
This book ends in a cliffhanger and I’m so happy because I’m not ready for their story to end.
This is definitely a must read series! I wish I could give it a lot more stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fecking heck, Ella is so annoying. How many times will she make the same mistake and not learn from it?! Good grief, woman. And Jared? He does the same thing again and again. Read the room. Five books in and the MCs are STILL making the same mistakes with no apparent character development. I don’t know how many books are planned for this series but I need to see some character growth to keep going.
I am totally hooked into the HellBeast King series and Stephanie doesn't disappoint in this fifth book of the series, these books are addictive i couldn't put it down until i had devoured this book.
Loving the banter and chemistry between Ella and Jared even though he keeps making mistake after mistake but thank god for his brother who keeps telling him his mistakes will drive them apart. Can't get enough of this series as it is so addictive, but that ending nooooo you can't keep doing that to us, i now need the next book asap as always i will be checking for this every day!
Brilliant again from this talented author where she sucks you in to her world that she has created and boy you never want to leave trust me.
I like all of Stephanie’s books and this was no exception. In a way all her books are based around the same story line but somehow it keeps me coming back for more. The only criticism I have is that a couple of her sagas like Transfusion and Vincent’s curse are unfinished so I wonder if this one will come to a conclusion??? Overall if you like Stephanie Hudson books you’ll love this saga. What do other people read that are similar to Stephanie’s books???
I appreciate that the last three chapters of the previous book were included at the beginning as I was one of the unfortunate readers who got an incomplete version.
Ella is so, so, so hard to take. Why does a woman who is 29 act like a 12 year old? Also, still a virgin? I thought she’d done the deed in her little Ranger trailer in the woods. It doesn’t matter except to Jared and his chest beating that he’s her first and only.
Not a whole lot happens in this book. The majority is Jared and Ella squabbling, then kissing and making up. Rinse and repeat.
Ella can’t seem to decide if she actually loves Jared enough to trust him. Babe, that’s a recipe for disaster. Too bad Orth isn’t the king. He seems a lot smarter and more even keeled than Jared.
Yes, I did read this twice in a matter of days after re-reading the first four since I’d completely lost track of the plot.
I will always love anything Stephanie Hudson writes, her books are my guilty pleasure. After reading all of afterlife, transfusion, the siren duos, and now this series, some of the main themes throughout each series can get repetitive (such as the constant miscommunication between the main characters causing arguments/problems, or the female lead being in constant danger). But I love the conflict and the chase so it’s the perfect read for me. Plus, who doesn’t love an overprotective alpha male?
Argh! Just when you think Ella and Jared finally got it together she runs away again! Instead of confrontating him on the spot, Ella goes on part of an eavesdropping conversation and forgets everything else. That girl needs a good knock upside the head! And Jared....sit down and talk to her already! Tell her everything even if it's difficult or you don't think it's relevant...she wants to know. And the cliffhanger....saw that one coming! Can't wait to see how she gets out of this one.
