When chubby baker Park moves to a new neighborhood to run his bakery business alone after the death of his father, his expectations are low. He assumes he’ll keep making cakes and desserts in complete isolation in perpetuity, save for a caring but meddlesome aunt who keeps inquiring whether he’s made any friends yet. But it doesn’t take long before Park’s new rental house is invaded by the local feline who apparently rules the neighborhood. Not to mention that his quiet, lonely plus size life is disrupted by the strange and mean local residents and the handsome delivery man who keeps turning up to pick up his cakes. Soon, Park’s new encounters will force him to challenge his ideas about the world, as well as himself. Chonk is a standalone sequel to A List of Things the Cat Stole and A Roommate’s Crash Course in Feline Cohabitation.
