Embracing grief can be difficult and this book offers a pretty good way to ease yourself into this mental process. Perhaps the most important part about is how you can do this journey by yourself, if you choose to, if you're not ready to open yourself up to others.
The advice I found especially useful is the recommendation for handwriting as a key step to separate your personal writing from work using computer typing. The warning about potential physical symptoms - like becoming dizzy - is also helpful as the author recognizes that this may be a sign that you cannot contain the difficult emotions on your own.
Best of all, the advice is NOT to overanalyze, but simply let yourself run free on paper - for the process is entirely within your control, there's no right or wrong. Taking you over 4 days, or longer should you choose to, this is a good guide in self-help.
