Things are never what they seem. That is the one of the things I took away from this story.
Tyson Preeter is a hot graduate student student and has the reputation of a player, oh and he is also a paraplegic. While Tyson may be limited physically he refuses to let it define him as a person. He doesn’t want to be a burden for his family or cause guilt for his brother. Just because he hides his emotions from his family doesn’t mean he isn’t dealing with the loss of his dreams. When he meets Cassidy Owens he has no idea she is hiding things, too, he just know she is a beautiful girl.
Cassidy Owens is a freshman and is instantly attracted to the guy in the wheelchair at the diner. She sees him laughing at her sister, and loves that he also sees her behavior as over the top. Cass and Ty meet up at a party one night and become friends. Cass is attracted to Ty, but she is hiding apart of herself, too. Cass was a star athlete before she was diagnosed with MS and forced to quit. She dealing with all the ways her life changed and making new plans.
Ty and Cass get each other and want to help each other, but there is so much more depth to this story. It is more then about two people with physical limitations. It is about how these two don’t want to be defined but what they can’t do, but defined by the people they are. It is about overcoming the emotional side effects of losing who you thought you were. I loved how these two bonded and helped each other.
So why not five stars. This story ran parallel to Rowe and Nate’s story (This is Falling), and I am not sure if it is just me but I felt that some scenes were overshadowed by Nate and Rowe. I worry that since I loved This is Falling so much this one just fell a little flat. I loved the connection between Ty and Cass, but there was a moment I really hated Ty. Despite Cass forgiving him it was hard for me to move on after this one incident. I don’t want to scare anyone away from this story, I am sure it was just me, but something was broken with me after that.
If you are a fan of the series I do recommend this one.

For some reason, when I read this series two years ago, I read book one and book three and skipped right over this little gem. I’m glad I made time to go back and read it. I really enjoyed it, and it brought back memories from the first book since the timeline ran parallel.
Cass and Ty are both characters that had a lot to overcome. Cass Owens was diagnosed with MS as a teenager. She’s now in college, and even though she has this diagnosis, she won’t let it get her down. She’s determined to be strong in spite of it. Tyson Preeter is at the same college as Cass to get his MBA. Ty had an accident as a teenager and became a paraplegic. He is also strong and doesn’t let it get him down. My favorite part of this story was how much strength both of these characters had. They did not let their differences define them.
I loved the connection Cass and Ty had. They had a lot of obstacles both in their personal lives and with their relationship, but they stayed strong together. The romance aspect of this book was great, but I loved the characters (especially Cass’s) growth the most.
I listened to the audio version of this book, and I thought the narration was good. I liked listening to Ty’s accent. Ginger Scott’s writing is fantastic. I’ve not been let down yet by a book of hers! You and Everything After is a sweet, beautiful and emotional NA story that I would recommend!

"Sometimes, we meet people that set our shit right. And you were like a bullet. You pierced straight...right about here."
This was such a sweet book! I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book in this series, it was a little too cheesy for me. But when I saw that Cass and Ty were getting their own book I HAD to read it, because they were so great in the first book.
Cass has MS (multiple sclerosis) a disease that affects the nervous system and is often unpredictable. College is a fresh start for her, one where she can live without other people knowing about her condition and where she can escape her less than stellar past. Ty was in an accident at the age of sixteen when he became a paraplegic. Ty is the brightest guy in the room, always the life of the party, the one to crack a joke. Behind his facade he has darker feelings, anger, regret longing, but he hides them from everyone else.
Both Cass and Ty meet at a party, and then later discover that Cass has signed up for personal training sessions with Ty at the school gym. The two have immediate chemistry, but both of their pasts have the potential to haunt their future.
I really enjoyed this gem of a book. It was the perfect amount of sweet without venturing into the cheesy zone. And believe me, I hate cheesy romance. I loved how complex Ty and Cass were as characters, and that this book focused on their personal struggles in addition to the romance between them. The two of them understood each other in a way that most people didn't get, and it made them the perfect couple.
This book paralleled the first book, This is Falling, so as readers we got to see what Ty and Cass were going through while Rowe and Nate had their drama. One of the best parts of this book for me was seeing Paige through Cass's eyes. Paige was portrayed as sort of a vapid bitch in the first book, so I like that we got to see another perspective of her and get some reasons behind her actions and choices. She's not the best sister, and not the best of friends, but she really was trying to do what she thought was best. I'm actually really looking forward to her book.
This is a fun, sweet, New Adult romance that had me smiling through it. I think technically you have to read the first book before this one, but since I didn't like that one as much, I say skip it. I think the reader could understand what's going on.

You and Everything After was a wonderful addition to the Falling Series. Being the second book in the series, this is Tyson Preeter and Cassidy Owen’s story. If you have read This is Falling (book 1) then you have had the pleasure of meeting these two. Both Ty and Cassidy had an aura about themselves in that book but in YaEA their tenacity and the beauty within each of them bubbles over into such a sweet love story that will have you wishing you could cross paths with them in RL. :)
I have come to find a certain comfort with Ginger Scotts writing. There is no doubt that she takes great care with the delivery of her characters and their story. Get ready to be swept into their world to share their experiences. ❤
Ty Pretter has a way about himself that some may say is cockiness. It was a confident cockiness though which made him so easy to love. Ty lost a piece of himself when he was younger, a dream that would never come to be. But sometimes when something is taken away it is replaced with something even more special. It may not be a something, rather someone.
Cass Owens was a breath of fresh air. I loved her confidence that shined through even though she was hiding her fear. I loved her ability to give a piece of her heart even though she worried it wouldn’t be reciprocated. This is the real Cass. The one that is ready to start her new life. The one that won’t be ruled by “it”.
Ty and Cass have become good friends through a relationship that they are both connected to. Nate is Ty’s younger brother and Rowe is Cassidy's roommate. It is an insta-something with Ty and Cass but that something isn’t easily defined. Their connection runs deeper than just a physical one. They share similar vulnerabilities that each can easily relate to and ones that would only make each of them stronger.
Cass was Ty’s game changer in life. She was the one that made him want that someone special again in his life. She came to be his sunshine that he didn’t want to lose. But even though Ty was always the strong one, the confident one, it scared the crap out of him because he didn’t know how to do this. Having someone special in his life brought to the surface a piece of himself that he buried deep. He needed to get this right. He couldn’t lose Cass.
Finding the real you isn’t as easy as it seems. Cassidy wants to regain her life but that doesn’t mean that painful pieces of her past will stay buried. For every step she takes forward she is challenged by her past. But Ty is the one person who gives her strength just by being himself. Ty doesn’t even know it but he is showing her how strong she can be and feeding into her happiness. But can she really do this. Can she have this happiness she has been missing?
Little by little Ty and Cass give each other that missing piece of themselves. But this doesn’t come without some sadness and heartache. They learn that loving someone...really loving someone, doesn’t come easy. The reward however is one to be treasured.
I may not read many NA books but I have to say Ginger Scott has really delivered a great series in Falling. There is a gentle balance in her writing that keeps you engaged and invested in the story and the characters. And for me being a mom of college aged kids, this story was relatable on one level or another which made me enjoy Ty and Cass story just a little bit more. ❤
I'm going to put my only very small complaint in a spoiler.
Next up in this series is Paige’s story. After meeting her in This is Falling and then again in You and Everything After, I knew there was more than meets the eye with her. I can’t wait to read her story.

I've been eagerly anticipating Ty's book ever since reading This is Falling. He's that smartass character that really shined and broke the mold of secondary characters. He made me laugh so much and despite his crudeness, bad manners, and manwhore ways, I couldn't help but fall for him. Although he gave his brother Nate such a hard time, you could see the brotherly love underneath it all and the deep bond that they had. Looking past his rude behavior, he just has this charm and charisma and an unbreakable devotion for his family that really comes through so clearly. I just knew his book would be sure to be funny with his constant sarcasm and I love the idea of two people with physical handicaps who are strong and resilient finding love together.
Ty is viewed as the strong one. In his senior year of high school, he had ambitions and dreams of playing baseball in the future and with his talent, the odds were he was going to achieve those goals. He had a loving girlfriend, and a bright future. But after a horrible accident cliff diving, he suddenly lost everything. His girl, his baseball career, and his ability to walk. His love for his family was so strong though, that he never let it show how deeply he was affected.
I take care of Nate, no matter what. Even if I’m fucked up and broken.
On the outside, he picked himself right up, and became determined to adjust and excel in his new reality. He’s a survivor with a strength that his family is heartened to see. What they don’t know is, most days, it’s a struggle to not feel sorry for himself and his lost hopes. He still has dreams about being on the baseball field doing what he loves more than anything. And it kills him, but he keeps his pain to himself.
Cass was a girl that is starting over fresh in college. She’s ashamed of her past, how she used sex with boys in high school in an attempt to find love and acceptance when her body image was at an all-time low. She had just discovered that she had early onset Multiple Sclerosis and her whole life changed forever. Because of her MS treatment, she had welts on her stomach, thighs, and arms from the needles. Sleeping with guys made her feel good-unfortunately, it was a temporary fix. And it only left her feeling even worse than she did before.
The pattern of making myself feel loved and wanted by being easy became an addiction, until it almost ruined my life.
Now, she’s not that girl anymore, or the girl with MS. She’s Cassie, funny, carefree, and starting fresh with a new outlook on life. Nobody knows the insecurities she holds deep inside. And nobody knows the physical struggles she faces. She wants a slice of normality back-what she had before her life was forever altered.
When Ty and Cass meet, they feel an immediate attraction and a deep connection. They have so much in common, it’s easy to see why they click so naturally. Both strong, blunt, and funny, yet both hurt in their past and both with a physical disability that effects their lives daily. Cass is hesitant to give Ty a shot because she knows he has a manwhore reputation around school and she doesn’t want to allow herself to be used like she was in the past. But the more she knows about him, the harder she’s finding it to turn down his flirtations. She wants to know him. The true Ty that no one else gets to see.
It’s like we’re playing this intense game of chess, studying one another to find strengths and weaknesses. Only, I don’t want to exploit his. I only want to understand them.
To me, Cass and Ty were so perfect together. They understood each other, supported one another implicitly, and had such a great banter going between them.
Ty did annoy the hell out of me at one point, and I REALLY wanted to kick him in his junk for his moronic behavior.
They both make their mistakes, but in the end, I still enjoyed this book and I even grew to almost like Cass' sister Paige, which in itself, is a miracle because in the last book, she was completely contemptible. We got to see a little bit of what's under her harsh exterior, and now I'm curious enough to want to pick up her book which is the next in the series. My main reason for detracting a star was for my annoyance with Ty when he caused their big fight, as well as some of the scenes which overlapped book one. It did slow down the pace for me I will admit. I liked seeing the boys' point of view of all of the cute pranks that were pulled, but at the same time, it did make sections of the story very predictable.
I'm definitely on board to read the next book, I'm curious to see how Ginger Scott can redeem Paige in her story. If you liked the first book, and you loved Ty as much as me, you'll most likely find a lot to love in You and Everything After. It had a great message of loss, love, and acceptance of your past in order to move on into the future.

It did slow down the pace for me I will admit. I liked seeing the boys' point of view of all of the cute pranks that were pulled, but at the same time, it did make sections of the story very predictable.
I'm definitely on board to read the next book, I'm curious to see how Ginger Scott can redeem Paige in her story. If you liked the first book, and you loved Ty as much as me, you'll most likely find a lot to love in You and Everything After. It had a great message of loss, love, and acceptance of your past in order to move on into the future.

3.5 A little Ridiculous stars
This is my third Ginger Scott read and I’m surprise to say I’m a little disappointed with You and Everything After.
You and Everything After is written at the same time frame as Rowe’s story. I have issues with these types of books. I don’t consider them alternative POV books because it’s not the Hero or Heroine that’s referenced in the previous book, but I still don’t like the same time frame time line. That’s just me though.
Cass has MS. Ty is in a wheelchair. Both are in college and both have a string of issues.
First off, when I heard the leading Hero was Ty and I realized he’s Nate’s brother who’s in a wheelchair, I was all over this book. I’m a huge fan of books where the leading hero has a disability. Ty is handsome, smart and a player. The fact he is in a wheelchair is just something added on.
Like seriously, it’s just something in the story, but it doesn’t really have any underlying storyline. I will mention “storyline” a lot in this review because that’s my main issue.
I wanted Ty to have some issue with his wheelchair, like how it hinders him or gives him grief, but it doesn’t, because he’s basically over that hump. He lost the ability to feel his legs and now he’s over it. huh…. I kind of wished he wasn’t in a wheelchair because I didn’t see the added value to the story.
Cass has MS. I know nothing about MS, but oh boy was it a big deal in the storyline. I felt like Cass’s MS should have been secondary to Ty being in a wheelchair. I also didn’t understand how bad it is for Cass to exercise. Like her doctor said it’s okay for her to work-out, but just not hard. BUT her parents don’t want her to work out at all. It just didn’t make sense. Cass’s parents making a huge deal about Cass’s MS was kind of frustrating and annoying.
There’s a lot of angst.
Then at the 50% mark, we find out a little bit about Cass’s past and I was suppose to be shocked, but I was kind of confused. I guess that’s an issue and I guess it could be brought to the present, but I didn’t think it was big enough to be a problem.
I really wanted to like Ty, but at moments he just treated Cass like crap and it wasn’t like a love and hate kind of thing, it was more like, oh-my-gosh-if-anyone-spoke-to-me-like-that-I-would-break-up-with-them kind of thing. Ty also has residual feelings for his ex, Kelly. Again, I have MAJOR issues with the Hero having any linger feelings for ex’s **Cough** Ugly Love.
I didn’t understand the Kelly side plot and I didn’t like it.
I think my main issue with this book is that it had a lot of angst and I never agreed or got into the storyline. It was just issue after issue that I just DID.NOT.UNDERSTAND.
On the positive, I still like Ginger Scott and I will continue with the series. I feel like Paige’s story has potential. I’m also partial to girly girls.

What I love about Ginger Scott telling a New Adult love story captures exactly how I think falling in love at this time in your life should happen. College represents a time in a young adults life where we’re understanding the freedom of being our own, the freedom of discovering exactly who we are, and the freedom to tweak things about ourselves to make us whole all the while finding someone who embraces the growth, someone who’s also growing. Ms. Scott takes the inevitable vulnerabilities of this shift in life and creates engaging stories of beauty and strength. The writing executed flawlessly to allow the reader a part in her world enabling us to feel each and every emotion she writes from the delicacy of her characters inabilities to the brilliance of the strength in their accomplishments.
You and Everything After, like its predecessor, showcases a hero and heroine who make an instant connection with each other based not just on mutual attraction but a kinship in each other, a likeness providing the knowledge they can help and encourage to make each other better. Its insta-friendship and fondness to where hilarious banter and chasing ensues. Tyson Preeter and Cassidy Owens become fast friends and instant supporters of each other. Mingling a bit their respective pasts to give us insight into their present helps endear these characters to the reader and encourages our support in the beauty and strength of the story. Their belief in each other, their innate need to make each other feel better, to lift each other up and provide for each other a life full of laughs and happiness makes them such an amazing couple to read. Being a witness to their world, reading each of them flourish through the rough times and the good times through both his and her first person narratives made for such a pleasurable reading experience. Plus, as a side note, any man that fosters an obsession with the bad assery of Leonardo DiCaprio gets major bonus points from me.
The secondary characters again make this book more fun, more about the importance of friends and family and the unconditional support they provide. Living on the outside of Nate and Rowe’s relationship, seeing them through Ty & Cass’s thoughts gave extra insight into book one. And the mystery of Paige intrigues the reader more than ever about her making us need her story like right now.
If you’re a New Adult romance lover, Ginger Scott writes some of the best. Perfectly balanced writing between humorous and smart wit to eloquently written sadness both triumph and tragedy make this intelligently constructed story in You and Everything After a definite must read. Ms. Scott’s writing, plots, and characters have made me a forever fan. These are stories I’ll remember and would gladly re-read. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to start and continue reading this great series. I cannot wait to discover what Paige’s story will bring in the third installment of Falling Series.

I was so excited to read Ty & Cass's story. They intrigued me in the first book. Couldn't wait to read how they were, what they were, and to go on their venture. I liked it. I didn't love it, mainly because I felt we were on Nate & Rowes timeline right along with them. Of course you get it from Ty & Cass's POV and it's still beautiful, I just couldn't get to loving it. It was amazing to watch them fall for each other, read their dedication and love for each other grow. Even though this story seem to follow along the same timeline as the first book, actually reading their story however was surprising. I assumed they were much more deeper into their relationship with each other right away, sooner, however they weren't. They were patient and it was written beautifully!! Still a good read, just parts you knew what was gonna happen, you just got it from a new POV :-)

What an amazing book! The author sure can write some of the cutiest stuff I've ever read! It was soo nice this book, totally different from the first one. I loved it as much :D

Ugh. What a let down. This is going to be a short review because this book was pretty unremarkable. I'm just going to tell you the two main reasons why I think you should pass this one by and you can make your own call.
This book suffers from Jamie McGuire syndrome. It's essentially This is Falling written over again from 2 different perspectives. I didn't want to read about the prank war or meeting the parents or going to a baseball game BECAUSE I ALREADY READ THAT BOOK. I wanted to read about Cass and Ty having NEW experiences. Instead I got the Cass and Ty version of Nate and Rowe's story. Pass.
Ty. Ty was not the hilarious, great character that he was in This is Falling. He was boring and sappy and obsessed with Cass. Cass wasn't a crappy character or anything I just got really sick of Ty gushing over how she "owns" him instead of saying funny things and being a badass. His characterization in You and Everything After was super inconsistent with his characterization in This is Falling. And he was cheesy as all get out- drawing Cass naked like in Titanic? Seriously?
And on the subject of Ty- Ginger Scott made it seem super easy to be in a wheelchair most of the time. A lot of the time there's way more to being a quadriplegic than just sitting in a wheelchair (risk of bladder infections, need for daily caths, etc.) and I feel like Scott could have done a little more research and elaborated on Ty's condition. Obviously all of that is pretty heavy stuff and it's possible Scott purposely avoided it because that wasn't the kind of book she wanted to write (fair enough), but I'm a fan of the real. If you're interested in reading a book about a girl in a wheelchair that doesn't gloss over all the gritty I highly recommend The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen. It is excellent.

I had originally marked this novel as a DNF, but a day later, I decided to try to finish it.
In retrospect, I should have just kept it at a DNF. I wasn't the least bit blown away by this novel. I realize that it's fiction, but for me (as a reader), the storyline has to be somewhat plausible... or, at the very least, the writing should be compelling enough to force me to suspend disbelief. Unfortunately, this novel provided neither scenario for me. This novel's storyline features a parapalegic hero who begins a romantic relationship with a heroine who suffers from MS. Part of my problem with this novel is that it provides very little information on the hero's level of paraplegia. Therefore, I wasn't able to fully connect with the hero or the challenges that he faced since the author gave very little information on his medical condition. I needed MORE background information, MORE character development... and LESS of the external drama.

I really liked this book. I am so happy with the way it ended, it was just perfect!! 😁
Cass was a strong heroine in my eyes, I truly liked how she stood up for herself and even with her MS she managed to accomplish so much.
Ty was such a dreammy boyfriend I honestly love him. He kinda made me mad once but I forgave him because damn he worked for what he wanted and learned to be stronger than his disability.
The story was great, kept me glued to the pages, had some sexy, funny and definitely angsty moments. Overall, I loved the story and characters. Will definitely be reading more books by this author in the future.

I love that the book was about a H in a wheelchair and a h with MS and they both didn't let it stop their passion for sport n fitness.
But the romance just didn't feel right:
Theres a scene of H being intimate with OW
Details of his manho past
H's ex hookup hitting on H right in from of h
H flirts with other girls when on break with h
H doesn't even make a real attempt to get her back, she's sad watching him flirt with other girls, he says he's sorry for being a jerk and bam they're back together
Plus H is so hung up on his ex - he never tells h about his calls all the time with ex, he breaks up with h when she misplaces watch his ex gave him that btw he wears all the time, he needs the ex's O.K even to tell h that he is in love with her
To an extent it felt good that h was confident and genuine enough that she didn't let the jerkish behaviour or past of H to bother her - clearly they had a similar sense of humour and had their own weird language , a connection. Plus she had enough problems on her own so she wasn't too bothered when the H pulled away. Or was such a happy positive loving person she just went with it.
I felt the h settled. I think this is a HFN and should stay one. h deserves someone even more amazing. (And maybe the H could have an eventual HEA with his ex- she wasn't bad ) After that maybe the h could have her HEA with someone wonderful - someone who ALWAYS puts her first!!

5 "You know I'm in love with you, right?" stars
After the prologue, I knew I would love this book. Hell, I think I knew I would love it even before I started it. You & Everything After is my second book of Ginger Scott, but I'm already in love with her writting, her characters and the unique story she creates. I fell in love with Ty and Cass in This is Falling , I loved the way Rowe & Nate saw and loved them. I felt like we already knew them, but Oh, how wrong I was. I didn't knew them at all, especially Cass.
I loved how much Cass was so strong, it's a part we didn't really see in the first book. I loved the way she dealt with everything happening to her (like her sister - she is something else - but that's another story, and one I can't wait to read). Honestly, her strength, made her one of best heroine I was lucky to read about. The only thing I'm disappointed about:
And about Ty, I loved how strong he was, the way he saw life in the previous book, it's like nothing in life could stop him. But in this book I loved the fact we could see his vulnerable side - that made me love him even more, if that even possible.
At first, When I learned the story was told at the exact moment of This is falling , I was really scared that I would feel bored, that I would have to read the same scene (we saw a lot of them in the previous book) but Ginger Scott proved me wrong. She really did a great job, not once I felt like it was the same thing all over again. It was unique and I savor every page.

Just read the first chapter! I am totally going to love that one! I'm sure of it! Ty definitely grew on me in This is Falling ... I actually can't wait to have a whole book about him! :)

The blurp of this book is very promising on angst department. Imagine a young man whose dream ripped from him because of careless accident taht left him paraplegic. A young woman who her life change forever when she is diagnosis with MS. Despite their past and the painful reality that robs them their dream, they managed to enroll into college and trying to be the best they can be.
But this book does not work for me. I can not connect with Ty. His behavior is not dramatic enough dealing with his disability. There is no angst on his story. Even when Miss Scott finally reveal his vulnerability, I just shrug. Again, no angst. No drama.
Cass is still better. I like her. I like her to be my best friend. She is carefree and act normal despite her MS diagnosis. She has this best friend quality on her. She is also strong and kick ass.
The story itself is dragging. I think this book can be reduced by 50 pages or so.

I struggled a little with this one. Just a tad. I did this on audiobook and I think it had to do with the narrator because I really, really like Ginger Scott and again I could not get into this book.

The second book in the series happens in almost the same time space as This is Falling, but this on goes a bit further to the future, but not much. Maybe a month or two. I read both of those books right after each other so to me it felt like it was one loooooong book with four different POVs. But to be honest I forgot half of the things that happened in THIS IS FALLING before I even started this one.
I liked both of those books but neither of them was really remarkable or unforgettable.
Cass is the invisible twin. She loves to play fotball but she also has MS which complicates everything. She has to be careful about how much she tires herself and watch for symptoms all the time. Her family is really hard on her and although she loves her twin sister Paige, she wants to shine too.
Ty's been bound to wheelchair since he was sixteen, he's come to terms with it and lives his life to the fullest now. He's emotionally unavaliable to everyone except him brother, parents and ex-girlfriend, the only girl he ever loved.
Then he meets Cass and she just blowed his mind. She's different than all the other girls. She's more real. And she's wormed her way into his heart without either of them noticing. But Ty's not ready to let her stay there yet.
To be honest, while I enjoyed YOU AND EVERYTHING AFTER I felt like something was missing. I didn't feel the connection between Ty and Cass. There wasn't "the spark" that would light the book on fire.
I expected that Ty's wheelchair situation would be talked about more and sometimes I felt that it was purposefully ignored. I mean, does he really have no problems getting somewhere, changing clothes, showering..?
It was a decent book with decent characters with a decent storyline. But is "decent" enough for it to be amazing/unforgetable/mind-blowing? I don't think so.

It was a decent book with decent characters with a decent storyline. But is "decent" enough for it to be amazing/unforgetable/mind-blowing? I don't think so.

I enjoyed this book, but I found it to be very repetitive. After reading the first book in this series, I was excited to start the next one. However, I wasn’t expecting it to pretty much the exact same as the first just in a different point of view. i probably would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn’t read the first book and this was a stand-alone.

In questo splendido romanzo accompagneremo i protagonisti durante il viaggio meraviglioso che è la scoperta dell’amore, ma non solo, li vedremo crescere e maturare, lottare contro le loro paure e debolezze, per poi vederli vincerle, nonostante tutto gli remi contro.
Conosceremo, grazie ai POV alterni i loro piú intimi segreti, ma sopratutto impareremo cosa significhi avere il coraggio di affrontare la vita indipendentemente dai limiti che essa stessa, putroppo, a volte impone.
Cass ha scoperto in etá liceale di avere la sclerosi multipla, ma dopo innumerevoli cure mediche e una volta resa stabile la malattia, ha anche cercato di riprendere in mano le redini della propria vita, nonostante le innumerevoli rinunce, tra cui la sua piú grande passione : il calcio al livello agonistico, in cui era bravissima. Ha anche fatto degli errori, mossa dalla disperazione e dal bisogno di colmare il vuoto dentro di se, e sopratutto di dimostrare a se stessa che valeva allo stesso modo, se non di più, delle coetanee "sane". Ha infatti deciso di diventare quella che chiunque definirebbe una "ragazza facile" creandosi una nomea e una fama per niente positive nella sua scuola.
Ma é pronta a compiere il prossimo passo ed é determinata a cambiare; sta infatti per trasferirsi in un altro stato a migliaia di chilometri da casa per l’università: un nuovo inizio sotto tutti i punti di vista. Insieme a lei partirá anche Paige sua sorella gemella, un personaggio che inizialmente non risulterá particolarmente simpatico, ma che ci regalerá delle belle sorprese.
Ty ha qualche anno piú di Cass e frequenta la sua stessa università; accanto a lui sará sempre prente Nate, suo fratello piú giovane; i due sono inseparabili, sopratutto dopo l’incidente che ha costretto Ty in sedia a rotelle dall’etá di 16 anni. Nonostante la paraplegia ha saputo reagire, è riuscito a riprendersi sia fisicamente che emotivamente, riuscendo a reinventarsi e ad avere nuove prospettive, il tutto peró con evitenti rinunce, tra le tante anche l’amore. Ty é convinto di non averne piú bisogno e nonostante le ragazze gli cadano letteralmente ai piedi, lui é irremovibile e mette in chiaro da principio che non vuole impegni sotto quel punto di vista, ma non ha fatto i conti con il fato, che durante una festa al campus gli fará incontrare la bellissima e carismatica Cass, a cui lui non saprá resistere. Nascerá ben presto tra loro un’incredibile intesa e simpatia che si trasformeranno in un sentimento profondo e puro.
Durante la lettura non assisteremo solo al loro innamoramento, ma scopriremo, grazie alla delicatezza nella narrazione dei fatti e di tutti i sentimenti che ne sono susseguiti, come questi due giovani, grazie al sostegno, ma sopratutto all’amore delle rispettive famiglie, siano riusciti a superare le difficoltá causate dai limiti fisici che la vita, crudelmente ha imposto ad entrambi. Due famiglie totalmente diverse, che hanno affrontato queste disgrazie a modo loro, il tutto dettato chiaramente da quell’amore di cui solo i genitori o i fratelli sono capaci, soffrendo chiaramente, ma mai lasciandosi andare, per infondere ai propri figli il coraggio e la forza necessari per poter reagire nel migliore dei modi.
L’autrice é riuscita a presentarci l’amore sotto tutte le sue sfacettature, affrontando un tema veramente delicato senza mai cadere nella banalitá, senza mai mettere la malattia in secondo piano o cercando di convincere il lettore che "l’amore vince su tutto"; ha semplicemente centrato il bersaglio creando un connubio perfetto tra sentimento e la voglia di riuscire nonostante le avversitá.
Leggere questa storia mia ha rapita fin dal primo momento. Ho trovato esilarante il modo in cui i protagonisti interagiscono tra di loro, grazie a battute genuine e perfettamente coerenti con la loro etá. Persino i personaggi secondari sono caratterizzati benissimo tanto che sono indispensabili nello svolgersi dei fatti.
La scrittura é fluida e gradevolissima da leggere, la trama per niente banale vi fará venire voglia di leggere il libro tutto d'un fiato.
Una storia dalla delicatezza incredibile. Se lo consiglio? Assolutamente si.

4.5 "Be My Everything After" Stars!
Is it possible to reinvent yourself? This is the question that both the hero and heroine must face, conquer and own in You and Everything After, before they can open themselves up to the possibility of a HEA. What an emotional roller coaster! I loved how this new adult romance gem dealt with some very sensitive topics, like disabilities (both MS and being paralyzed), as well as, low self-esteem and conquering a bad reputation. The passion and romance between the two main characters was also well developed, and touching. This was my first experience with Ginger Scott, and I guarantee it will not be my last!
Cassidy ("Cass") Owens knows what it is like to be plagued by adversity. Diagnosed with MS as a teenager, she coped with her diagnosis with some arguably self-destructive behavior and by giving up, at the demand of her parents, her dream of playing college soccer. To self-medicate, she sought comfort in the arms of any boy, or in some cases men, who could temporarily help her forget her diagnosis, and gained a reputation for being "easy" in the process. To make matters worse, Cass also has a twin sister, who while intending to help at times, let's her jealousy of all the attention that Cass gets as a result of her illness cause her to do questionable things that end up hurting Cass in the process. Cass is determined to turn around her reputation, and stop allowing her twin to sabotage her efforts, when she enrolls in McConnell College.
Tyson ("Ty") Preeter, a graduate student at McConnell College, has had his own fair share of devastating losses, chief of which is his ability to walk, which he lost in a diving accident when he was 16. Although he will no longer be able to live his dream of playing baseball, he has channeled his efforts into working as a physical therapist to train others with disabilities to succeed in their athletic goals. When Ty meets Cass he sees something special in her and convinces her to start training to join their college's womens soccer team. Although Ty has been the "love them and leave them" type, since he lost his ability to walk, little by little he starts falling for Cass, a feeling which Cass also shares, but given her reputation is afraid to give into (particularly given that Ty is several years older).
Will Cass and Ty be each other's salvations? Is it even possible to change from the persons who they have let their disabilities let them become?
What an enjoyable, inspirational story! For those of you who are wondering how this story--the second in the Falling series--fits in with book 1, please note that both stories seem to happen on a concurrent basis. All that said, each can easily be read as a standalone, as each focuses on a different main couple. As I have not yet had the pleasure of reading This is Falling, which focuses on Ty's brother and Cass' roommate, I now look forward to going back to read Book 1!

I am reading this straight after the very enjoyable This Is Falling. 40% through but I have a problem with this book so far.... For a story teller who was so into the deep psychological processes of her characters in the first book - all that depth retrospection has completely gone out of the window on the second. Ty is a paraplegic, for the last six or seven years, and he 'rises' to the occasion with no issues? I don't think so. And he has confidence in his prowess but I think he would be a lot more insecure about his ability to preform and perform consistently. Also he is someone who is very proud of his physique but doesn't have any concerns regarding his atrophied leg muscle which would be a stark contrast to his muscular upper body? I don't think so. He is like a sex god but there is no mention of mobility issues under the sheets with positioning.
Now we also have Cass's MS. I don't know too much about MS and after reading what I have so far I know even less. In book one we had tonnes about Rowe's depression but the MS is a degenerative disease which could potentially make Cass lose all movement in all her muscles and eventually even her respiratory muscles and she isn't worried about that at all - it doesn't give her or Ty pause for thought? I am hoping a few of these issues will be addressed in the next part of the book but I doubt it. I feel at the moment that Cass and Ty's romance is too similar to Rowe's and Nates to have warranted a follow up book. It could be a hell of a lot more interesting and deeper but the things that would do so seem to be getting in the way of the bland story the author wants to write.

This book was such a disappointment. I know that it's common in NA to write a book focusing on different couples. But here it's a piece of advice, if you're planning on writing several books focusing on different characters, make sure you set them up properly. And for the love of God, do not retell the same freaking story all over again from a different POV.
Major problem with You and Everything After: It follows the same time line of This is Falling. Which means, there were a lot of scenes that we had seen, but told from a different POV. I did not want to relive those scenes.
Second major problem: the killing of everything that was good about Ty and Cass. Ty and Cass had major issues that were never even hinted at in This is Falling. A little foreshadowing would have been nice to make their issues believable. It turned out that Ty and Cass were freaking boring. I liked that Ty was not an ultra romantic guy and didn't have a filter in This is Falling. It turned out that it was all a big lie. Also, Scott never really explored what it really means to be a paraplegic.
Don't even get me started on Cass. Ugh, her story was insufferable and the quick resolution really unappealing. If you are going to broach the subject of sexual assault, I would like to see the issue properly resolved, not brushed under the carpet.
All the issues the characters faced were dealt with superficially so there was nothing to fill the book besides some idiotic teen angst and sappy dialogues.
Do not recommend.

Ty Preeter is the cocky, lovable brother of Nate of book #1 in the series. Wheelchair bound from a cliff diving accident he hasn't let that stop him. A trainer, a grad student, a player and when he meets Cass Owens he soon feels something he hasn't felt in a long time. Ever since his 1st love left him as high school ended after his accident.
Cass hides a secret from her roomie and the brothers. She has MS. It cost her her soccer career, her self worth to a degree and now with the training and encouragement of Ty she is fighting to get it all back. Their coupling is sweet but not without bumps in the road.
Soon her health and her past put it all at risk.

La storia di Tyson e Cass si svolge parallelamente al precedente libro "Ogni battito del cuore" che ha come protagonista Nate, il fratello di Tyson. Cass e Tyson sono due protagonisti che hanno dovuto superare tante difficoltà e il dolore di non essere più gli stessi di prima. A Cassidy Owens è stata diagnosticata la sclerosi multipla e nonostante la gravità della malattia è determinata ad essere forte e ad andare avanti nella vita. Il college è l’occasione giusta per ricominciare da zero, lontana dai suoi genitori, dai ricordi e dalle decisioni sbagliate del liceo e da chiunque conosca il fatto che lei abbia la sclerosi. Cass è determinata a lasciare la ragazza vulnerabile che ha cercato l’amore e l’accettazione e a diventare la nuova ragazza combattente. Le sue insicurezze sono sempre parte di lei, ma cerca di non soccombere più come nel passato. Vuole essere spensierata, fare amicizia e vuole che il dolore diventi un lontano ricordo. L’ho ammirata tantissimo per la sua indole combattiva, per il suo non arrendersi mai ma anche per le sue fragilità che noi donne tendiamo a nascondere. Tyson Preeter a seguito di un incidente è diventato paraplegico. Anche lui è forte e non lascia che la sua condizione lo trascini verso il buio. Dopo l’incidente ha imparato a vivere di nuovo, ha dimostrato a suo fratello e ai suoi genitori che niente lo avrebbe spezzato. Ha combattuto e affrontato le circostanze con una determinazione d’acciaio. Tuttavia gran parte del Ty che mostra al mondo esterno è solo una facciata. Lui è forte, ma è anche un ragazzo la cui vita si è incredibilmente trasformata, ha dovuto fare i conti con i giorni difficili, giorni in cui tutto gli sembrava nero, quando sentiva di non farcela. Tyson ha ancora i suoi giorni difficili, ha sempre quel dolore nel cuore, ma di certo non può lasciare che la sua famiglia veda tutto questo. Cass e Ty si ritrovano nella stessa università e hanno sin da subito un’alchimia immediata. Entrambi sono spezzati dal dolore e hanno dovuto superare duri ostacoli. Entrambi si nascondono dietro una personalità apparentemente forte, non vogliono che il mondo esterna veda le loro debolezze. Cass è un po’ riluttante a dare a Ty la possibilità a causa del suo passato e del fatto che Ty ha una reputazione da playboy. Anche Ty ha i suoi demoni del passato, anche lui è riluttante a provare una nuova relazione. È difficile stare lontano da qualcuno con cui ti senti come a casa. Più entrano nel profondo della loro relazione e più scoprono di capirsi veramente l’un l’altra, cominciano a capire di aver bisogno l’una dell’altro. La storia di Cass e Tyson è così dolce e profonda che non ho potuto fare a meno di amarla. Non è solo una storia d’amore ma è anche la storia di una ragazza che impara ad amare la vita di nuovo allontanandosi dall’immagine negativa che aveva di se stessa. E Tyler è semplicemente il ragazzo giusto per lei e bisogna essere coraggiosi come Cass per vedere oltre la disabilità di lui.
