This second edition includes a deeper treatment of p-adic functions in Ch. 4 to include the Iwasawa logarithm and the p-adic gamma-function, the rearrangement and addition of some exercises, the inclusion of an extensive appendix of answers and hints to the exercises, as well as numerous clarifications.

Okay so truthfully I didn’t follow most of the later chapters. I’m far more an algebraist than an analyst, so the analysis was a bit lost on me. But chapter 1 was a great introduction to p-adic numbers and I definitely understand them better than I did before. Some good exercises which I found helpful, and (while as I said I struggled with some of the content) the writing was good and readable.
