Glacial Indifference Cruise, the fifth installment of the "Cruising Through Midlife: Cruise Ship Cozy Mysteries" series by Addison Moore, takes readers on a thrilling journey filled with humor, paranormal elements, and, of course, murder. Trixie Troublefield, the charismatic protagonist, finds herself aboard the Emerald Queen cruise ship, excited to reunite with her children and the unexpected company of Captain Crawford's sons and Ransom's daughter.

However, the tranquility is shattered when Trixie's supernatural secret is exposed to someone important, endangering her world as she knows it. As the cruise sails through the breathtaking Alaskan scenery, a chilling murder occurs, plunging Trixie into a high-stakes investigation to catch the culprit.

Moore's writing effortlessly blends humor and mystery, offering a delightful reading experience. Trixie's witty narration and her penchant for stumbling upon trouble keep readers engaged from the first page to the last. The author masterfully weaves in the paranormal aspect, adding an intriguing layer to the story without overpowering the cozy mystery elements.

With vibrant descriptions of life on board and the picturesque Alaskan landscapes, Moore transports readers to the cruise ship, immersing them in the captivating setting. The well-developed cast of characters, including the gruff homicide detective and the mischievous ghostly presence, adds depth and complexity to the narrative.

"Glacial Indifference Cruise" is a page-turning adventure that will delight fans of cozy mysteries and paranormal fiction alike. Moore's skillful storytelling and knack for blending genres make this book an enjoyable and engaging addition to the series. Prepare to embark on a cruise of a lifetime, where danger lurks amidst laughter and secrets.

Trixie’s young adult children are joining her on this cruise to Alaska. Also onboard are Captain Wes’ sons, Security Officer Ransom’s daughter, and Bess’ granddaughter. Learning that the Match Made in Paradise reality show is filming has the millennials pairing up to compete. Trixie has enough to deal with trying to keep her ability to see ghosts under wraps, to worry about the hormones flying on deck. Her rival, Tinsley, has already tried to expose her quirk to Wes & Ransom. Thankfully Ransom thinks Tinsley doctored her evidence, but Wes is pushing her to see the ship’s doctor especially after he sees her talking to a ghost. But ghost Calliope is determined to stick with Trixie until the murderer of producer Hugh is caught. Will they solve this case before the cruise ends and the killer escapes? And will Trixie have to protect her son from Ransom?

Another fun cozy from Addison Moore. With vivid descriptions of the Alaskan scenery, laugh out loud moments care of Nettie and Bess, and a well constructed mystery, you’ll feel that you’re along for the ride on the Emerald Queen. Just don’t read it on an empty stomach as the mouthwatering details of the on ship cuisine will have you hankering for a molten lava cake or two. Though book 5 in the series, the story can be enjoyed as a standalone adventure. Readers of the previous books will appreciate Trixie & Ransom taking a major step in their relationship.

Who Killed Hugh Whitman ? . . .

The Emerald Queen is cruising to Alaska, cast and crew, and this time children and grandchildren, will be looking for a fun (uneventful) journey. Trixie Troublefield, able to see and communicate with ghosts, is wishing for a nice, calm trip with no ghostly appearances. Unfortunately, her wish doesn’t stand a chance as a ghost immediately appears and producer Hugh Whitman of Whitman and Hall Productions dies… definitely not a “natural” death. Can Trixie help solve the murder before they return to land and the killer escapes?

I love this author’s writing and the awesome mysteries she provides for our entertainment. The touch of the supernatural adds a further aspect to the stories that make them different and unique and enable them to go in a few different directions than traditional mysteries can go. Grab your copy and enjoy the cruise… but watch for clues along the way!

Trixie is off on another Alaskan cruise but this one's special, her kids are coming, so are Ramon's and the Captain. Things look like they are off to a good start until Trixie sees a ghost and knows someone is going to die. To complicate things at the end of the last cruise Nellie and Bess sort of slip in front of the Captain that Trixie can see and talk to ghosts, now the Captain thinks she is having some kind of mental breakdown and wants her to see the ship psychiatrist. As if that's not enough to deal with Dove Love is on board filming an episode of her matchmaking show and all of the kids make it on the show. Of course, the Captain catches her every time she tries to talk to the ghost and things just keep getting better and better. A fun adventure, lots of surprises and in the end the murderer is captured and the Captain is touching Trixie as things wind up and hears the ghost talking to her. Great read.

Entertaining!

The Emerald Queen sets sail for Alaska with the cast and crew for a new episode of Match Made In Paradise. The cruise they were going to enjoy with their children and grandchildren will be wildly different from the one they had planned. Trixie Troublefield is hoping there are no ghosts in her future for this trip but no such luck. Before they even leave port a ghost appears and soon after setting sail a death occurs. Trixie and the ghost are sure it was murder.

This was a cute cozy mystery. There was some suspense and some drama, and it was fun watching Trixie put the clues together sometimes with more hindrance than help from Nettie and Bess. The Travel Tips from her blog at the beginning of the chapters are helpful and sometimes hilarious. This is the first book I have read in this series but it won’t be the last.

Once again, Trixie’s in the wrong place at the right time to discover the newly deceased. But this time she has to identify a murderer while dodging reports of her mental instability and also keep an eye on the offspring of herself and her friends at the same time as staying out of the way of the Alaskan wildlife. One thing I can count on with this series is that I’ll be taken on an adventure that will keep me laughing from the first page to the last. This story did such a good job of entertaining me that I kind of forgot to try and outthink it. I simply arrived at the finish line ready for Trixie to reveal the identity of the villain and for the celebrating to begin. Now, with the little surprise we know is coming for the next voyage of the Emerald Queen, I can’t wait to see what the author has up her sleeve.

This book and series are currently my favorite of Addison Moore's. It could be because I read this newest book while I was on an Alaskan Cruise!!! Actually, I love all her books and series. Trixie is a great main character. She's living her life to the best as she can after being cheated on. She loves working on a cruise ship. Trixie's transmundane and can see and talk to ghosts. Doing so is now an issue as another crew member, who doesn't like Trixie, has seen her talking to "thin air" and wants Trixie gone from the ship. And somehow, Trixie told the Captain the truth about her ability but not her boyfriend... The books are well written, descriptive, and humorous, Each book can be read as a standalone but I really recommend you read the entire series! I know you'll love them as much as I do.

Trixie Troublefield is transmundane , a great help when you’re an amateur sleuth of some standing . This the fifth book in series but I agree it can standalone. I must endeavour to read the others in series though now… Anyway the review . The Emerald Queen of the Seas is a Glacial Cruise Embarkation and Debarkation is Vancouver Canada. This trip Trixie has her family along , before the ship has set off from the Port she sees a ghost , not the best start then to top it off excusing the pun there’s a death soon after the ship sets sail. Suspecting Murder Trixie and her new friend investigate….. Suspense, mystery and great humour is just what a cosy mystery needs . That and of course a good author to plot and create the awesome characters and situations described well.

Absolutely love this series!

This book is fantastic. It continues with the adventures of Trixie along the high seas… and they are headed back to Alaska along with the crew – Ransom (her boyfriend), Wes (the captain), Bess and Nettie (elderly ladies who are friends and super kooky), and other friends. Except this time around, everyone’s kids and grandkids are joining them on this cruise! What Trixie didn’t know is that a popular dating show was also going to be on the ship airing an episode. So all the kids pair up in order to compete! Until one of the producers ends up dead and it looks like murder. When the producers dead fiancé shows up to help Trixie, they work together to solve who murdered him.

Loved this book! Cant wait to see how the romance continues with Trixie and Ransom too!

A family vacation can be a lot of fun, especially on a cruise! With children and grandchildren aboard, many special memories can be made. Unless you are Trixie Troublefield. With the usual gang of Bess, Nettie, Ransom, Wes, and now children and grandchildren on The Emerald Queen, the adventure begins. Trixie will have to keep her sleuthy skills sharp if she is to find out who murdered someone at the beginning of the cruise. With her closely guarded secret of being transmundane, her sanity may also be questioned when she is found talking to a ghost. Enjoy this great addition to the Cruising Through Midlife series by Addison Moore.

I loved how everyone's kids were on the cruise this time and how well they got on although at times maybe too much. We have plenty of motive on who was behind Hughes death, a tragic story behind what occurred years earlier and a ghost who had a hearty sweet tooth. Trixie has a lot more to deal with this time around and her circle of who knows her ghostly talent is about to grow, but so is her relationship with Ransom but as always there are plenty of antics and laughs with her cruise ship friends and family.

Trixie faces a few new troubles on this trip: threats of referrals to the ship psychiatrist, Dr. Pines

can Trixie manage her ghost talking skills, Ransom and Captain Wes, and all of their children plus a granddaughter from Betsy- on a cruise that turns out to be a twenty something love connections show? so not how you want to see your young adult offspring

Troubles for Trixie Troublefield on the high seas - and during bear filled Alaskan excursions- what a bear magnet! poor Trixie!

Trixie's adult children are joining her on the cruise, not only are her child's on the cruise but also are Wes and Ransom's children. Trixie is trying to keep up with her kids and kept Dr. Pines the ship's psychiatrist from thinking she is crazy since she told Wes last cruise that she sees ghosts.
One of the guests is murdered and Trixie has a ghost helping her find the murderer. Read this incredible book it is totally worth it.

A Cool Cruise

A trip to Alaska was never so steamy as the Emerald Princess is over run with hormone happy college kids. Part of the kids are related to the crew and make for hot matchups. All the youngsters are waiting for a chance to strut their stuff on the romance reality show being filmed on board. Death occurs. Specters appear. The mountain of scruptious food is never ending. Then there is a fabulous finale.

Oh my, I laughed so much. With all the kids visiting, Trixie and her 2 beaus are over the moon 🌙. That is until the kids sign up for a reality show for couples. And the hormones are all over the place 🤣. Throw in a homicide and suddenly the boomers are on the show and the trail of the killer.

Author of the Murder in the Mix series, Addison Moore has brought to life another story and series filled with fun, excitement, mystery and intrigue. I loved every minute of reading this who-done-it story. It's fun, which I know I already said, but it deserves to be said twice. Well done to the author on another fabulous story.

Trixie is setting sail with her adult children this time. Along with a few ghosts, a homicide detective, and a passenger that doesn't know they won't see the end of the cruise.
This is an adorable cozy mystery that keeps you on edge while trying to figure out who did it. I really like Trixie as she is my age-ish and I can relate to her on a different level than a lot of characters.

I did not finish this book which is something I very rarely do, read 14 of 29 the chapters. This story was so sloooow to develop it couldn't keep my attention. There were more descriptions of the food served on the cruise than on the backstory or any potential plot twists.

Humorous mystery

Wonderful descriptive cruise ship adventure. It could be called eating your way through Alaska, as the different meals and places on the ship are described. Ms Moore also gives vivid descriptions of an Alaskan Cruise including the various stops and fun things to discover and do on the ship. Fun book and some great cruising tips.

The grown kids go on this cruise

The adult children of Trixie, Ransom and the captain are all on this cruise. So is a love-connection type show, so the kids pair up and join the "cast".
