Her Elementals #2

Air's Caress

Avani arrives in Kel with one goal – pretend to like the Prince in hopes he will help protect her people from the evil Sodon and his growing army. But she quickly realizes she’s playing a dangerous game with the Prince who will do anything to get what he wants, no matter how inappropriate.

To complicate matters, the Prince’s best friend happens to be Bayu, Flint’s brother and air elemental. And no matter how many times she tries to tell herself that it’s impossible to love another man, her heart and body feel otherwise and demand satisfaction.

While trying to control her body’s desires for Bayu, she knows she must prevent the Prince from becoming King. This puts her in a deadly situation where she must choose the impossible. If she can’t, the lives of people in both kingdoms could be lost.

******

Bayu doesn’t want to believe that his fated mate has returned to him, yet he can’t deny his intense attraction toward the Princess of Loreen. Thoughts of touching her, kissing her, claiming her consumes him, making even sleep impossible. That’s why when Avani insists he trains her to control air magic, he jumps at the opportunity to get closer to her.

This closeness makes his love grow even stronger, and he realizes that he and his brothers have a real chance at being happy again. But, to do this, they must unite with Avani, their fifth Elemental, to finally destroy Sodon.

Too bad Sodon is one step ahead of them.

Born at the stroke of midnight, Raven Steele grew up in a home bordering a graveyard as old as time. Ghosts became her only friends and whispered tales of a world that existed between night and day. In this place, monsters roamed the lands, magic curled in the wind, and good and evil fought over the hearts and minds of humans. Desperate to not let those dark and brave creatures be forgotten, Raven wrote down the words of the ghosts, knowing their stories of triumph and sorrow would give strength and comfort to those in our world.

And so, when the sun sets, Raven retreats to the cemetery at the edge of the woods, where she sits and listens to the dead speak their tales of Rouen and all of its inhabitants. Because one day, our two worlds may collide, and when they do, we must be ready. For when their darkness bleeds into ours, we will be fighting for more than our lives. We will be battling for our souls.

Raven Steele is a pen name to USA Today's bestselling author Rachel McClellan.

good

Avani gets into as much trouble in this book as she did in the previous book. She does meet her air elemental and does not realize it. She finally does start learning how to use her air magic, but then they get caught by their enemy. Avani believes that people in this book are her friends but unfortunately, she finds that the person she thought was her friend was actually an enemy. Most of the sex in this book was oral. Apparently the elementals are not supposed to have penetration sex, until Avani is cleansed with fire whatever that means.

My Favorite so Far

Spice 🌶🌶🌶

I really liked book 2 so much more than the first one. The air elemental brother is my favorite so far as well. Love his personality. He's funny & sexy. What more could you ask for?

The story of the brothers & Soron continues on. We learn more about Lily and how different she is from the MFC. Great chemestry between the MC's and this book has several twists and turns making it an interesting read.

The water elemental is up next so moving on to book 3.

Couldn't put it down!!

I had such a hard time with the first one, it had so much world building in it that the pace was slower than what I like. THIS ONE? I couldn't put it down, I read it in 3 days while having a ton of work I was supposed to be doing.

I absolutely love the dynamic personalities of Flint and Bayu! Oh, and that part about the ghost - my favorite part of the book!

I have to read the next one, there's just no getting around it!!

As book 2 to a series this was good. it had some great points and some ridiculous points. I did not see the plot twist of who the bad guy was using to spy on Avani so that was a fantastic change. Bayu is a great take a hot boy that wants to act like the world is his oyster and I loved that the author even made him "weaker" by saying he hadn't practiced his magic in so long. I loved that he had the ability to grow with her as she learned ❤️

I want to start by saying I really enjoy the story in general. It makes me continue to want to read to learn what happens next. However, the editing is a struggle there are so many errors between sometimes the book says the name Aris but other times it says Ares. Same for Princess Tinsley but then at one point it says Kinsley. There are grammatical errors and weird breaks in the chapters sometimes.

But if you can look past all that, it’s an enjoyable plot so far.

what an ending!

Book 2 of the series was just as fabulous as the first one. We’ve met new characters that I have strong feelings about (that I won’t share because of spoilers) and experienced more twists and turns, with all of the excitement and fun I expect from Ivy Jack! My only complaint is that book 3 isn’t out yet!

I really like this series, it’s a quick read, but man could it use some proofreading. So many name and continuity problems. Is it Aris or Ares? Honestly it doesn’t even matter.

Same formula as the first book. The politics are heating up. The ending is a nice twist.

The editing errors kind of drove me crazy. I'm enjoying the story, but if you can't keep the spelling correct for your characters names, it can be distracting, which made me put it down for a day or two.
