It's way outdated and needs to be supplemented with updated material in order to be beneficial in the slightest.

As for the level of difficulty linguistically speaking, it is a good place for 2nd-year University students to start. I used it as a 4th-year and was not challenged, to say the least.

Outdated, marginally useful book on business Chinese. It would help much more to just read BBC news in Chinese.

I used it for 朗读 practice. Texts are boring, there is not much content, and the level is definitely not advanced. Don't waste your money.
