Love Blooms at Christmas Inn

Rate this book
Two wandering souls. An unexpected stay. Is fate determined to bring them together?

Blossom has no room for love in her life. In fact, she’d pretty much given up on her fairytale ending after a car accident put her in a wheel chair five years ago. But with her brother’s up-coming wedding, she can’t help but wonder if maybe she’s ready to start searching.

Maybe there is someone who could see past the wheels and see only…her.

Carter lives a fast paced life. As New York’s up-and-coming real estate broker, having his car breakdown in the middle of Massachusetts was the last thing he needed. And a stay at a place called Christmas Inn? Nope. But, with no other options, he reluctantly books a room.

When the sweet, quirky room manager catches his eyes, he can’t help but feel the desire to slow down. Especially when her son just won’t leave him alone, or when Blossom seems to be seeking the one thing he didn’t know he wanted.

Love.Find out in Anne-Marie’s second installment, Love Blooms at Christmas Inn. A sweet, swoon-worthy romance with toe-curling kisses.

Wow! I thought I’d just start reading a little bit of this before bed. Nope. I was wrong. Completely wrong. I couldn’t put it down. From the opening of the book to the final page of the epilogue I was completely hooked.

I loved Blossom from the first book and have been waiting for her story. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! What a tender story full of all the emotions. I loved Blossom’s character and how well written she was. Her strength and fortitude. Her sadness and insecurities. Her love and hope. She is a character that will steal your heart.

Carter is another character you will need to watch out for as he stole my heart just as he did Blossom’s. Well, scratch that. He didn’t steal her heart but earned it and showed her how much he loved and cherished it.

A beautiful and tender love story that I can’t recommend enough for all of you readers who love stories with heart and emotions. I might have teared up a little bit throughout the story. I loved how these two characters weren’t written as anything other than two people with hopes and dreams and searching for happiness. There was no unnecessary drama between them. I loved it!

Content: Clean. Nothing more than some sweet kisses.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

This book actually gives me hope that love can truly bloom in situations where people are good to their core. I hope there are more people like Carter in the world, I really do!

This was short and sweet and I liked the portrayal of single mom Blossom fiercely holding onto her independence and not letting her disability define her. Her son Isaac,a ball of energy, was really cute. His interaction with his mom and Carter, the guest at their inn who is fighting his own worries but drawn to them both, were adorable.
I just missed anything related to Christmas in this one as the only reference is in the name!

Cute. I loved and hated Blossom, I just wanted to shake her 😅🤣 like let someone love you woman. Maybe even just yourself. Carter was just dreamy. These were all just nice fluffy Christmas time romances to have a break and nice pallete cleanser.

Surprisingly, I have never read a book by Anne-Marie Meyer and I was intrigued by a love story between a single mother in a wheelchair and a wealthy real estate broker.

She can do this. Blossom loves life at the Christmas Inn and she is excited and terrified to be left in charge when her brother and sister-in-law go on their honeymoon. She doesn’t want to rely on the help of others as she deals with the challenges of being in a wheelchair and being the mother of a rambunctious six-year-old boy so she jumped at the chance to prove her worth and manage the inn. However, she wasn’t prepared for the handsome and helpful Carter Bronson who showed up unexpectedly after his car broke down during a business trip.

Carter Bronson is tired of his fast-paced life in New York and when he arrives at the Christmas Inn, the worries and stress just disappear. It doesn’t hurt that he enjoys the company of the beautiful manager and her very active son.

Blossom and Carter’s attraction is immediate, but they ease their way through challenges and breaking down walls to become an extraordinary couple. Blossom's lack of self-confidence and getting past her disability is to be expected especially after her douche of a husband left her after the accident, but Carter’s kindness and patience are exactly what she needs. Carter is a fantastic and caring man who does little things to make Blossom's life easier. I love the interactions between Carter and Blossom's son Isaac and how much Carter enjoys Isaac’s company. I also teared up when Blossum’s sister-in-law Holly finally made Blossom realize that she is not her wheelchair and to take a chance on happiness, not loneliness.

Despite the repetitive use of words such as soaring and mysterious, I really enjoyed this unique and sweet small-town romance filled with heartwarming characters, a relaxing location, and a beautiful love story.

I felt for Blossom losing the use of her legs and her husband even if he wasn’t a great one before the car accident and having to raise her son alone. Her ex’s abandonment after the accident made her feel unattractive and broken and it’s hard for her to accept that a successful attractive man like Carter would be interested in her. I love her chatter box high energy precocious son Isaac. He would be a lot to keep up with even if she had functioning legs. Blossom has to believe that she’s beautiful and worthy of being loved by a man before she can open her heart to love again. This was a sweet clean romance.

I ordered this book from Tik Tok and Im glad I did. I wanted a fun, light read. Something very “Hallmark”.
This is very much that but with the added bonus of a female lead with a disability. Hallmark has a long way to go toward inclusivity. The author does a great job give us a perspective into the challenges both in dating and managing day to day that those with variable abilities might feel. I appreciate how strong and independent the female lead was in this book despite that fact.

It was good to finally get to read Blossom's story. I'm so glad she got her HEA. Carter is such a good guy for her. I love his persistence. He could have easily given up after the first set down, but he didn't. He is also so wonderful with Isaac. This was a beautiful story about healing, acceptance and love.

3.5 ⭐️. This was a cute and fluffy Christmas romance book. I appreciated the visibility and awareness it brings for people in wheelchairs. Of course the FMC questioning whether she deserves love drove me up a wall but overall this was a great palate cleanser audiobook (hoopla).

Love Blooms At Christmas Inn by Anne-Marie Meyer

Small town
Single mom
Disability rep: wheelchair user
Closed door, sweet romance

I'm gonna be honest here, the cover made me do it! The cover is so beautiful! (Even though the sharing the earbuds thing doesn't exactly make sense)

And how delightful to find out that this gorgeous book contained wheelchair representation.

I had a lot of thoughts while listening to this. I like that the story itself didn't dwell on her being a wheelchair user even if our FMC did.

I found it odd that she would refer to her wheelchair as a Prison when in fact it is giving her the ability to move about and live her life.

I totally relate to her when she said that she makes herself uncomfortable to make others feel comfortable. It's hard for me to think of a time that I don't do this.

I don't know why some people just can't Ask for help. I honestly don't get it.

And the part where she said she got over being Embarrassed a long time ago. Yeah, I get it.

I hate that she feels like she's a burden or too much work or whatever and didn't even really consider this man's feelings. She ran away instead of allowing him to make his own decisions.

My mood lately has been very quick easy reads. This fits that category. This book is second or third in a Christmas series by Meyer. Been reading them all. I found the book interesting, the female lead, Blossom, is wheelchair bound, I enjoyed reading about someone who wasn’t a perfect petite blonde as in most stories. Blossom is more relatable. We get some insight into how she views herself versus how others do-this is something we ALL do with our inner dialogue. We all fight with similar or the same types of struggles and insecurities.
Would have liked to know a little more on how things changed for Carter in the end to make it make sense, since that was a concern of Blossom’s but overall for the hour and a half it took to read it was like reading a Hallmark movie and they don’t tie everything up either and I’m okay with that.

This is a cute book about overcoming fear and accepting new love.

It's a quick read with all of the Hallmark feels.
While the title has Christmas in it, it is not actually a Christmas themed book. Which is actually nice.

The MCs have vastly different lives and life complications, but are star struck with each other rather quickly.

I do wish there was a little one depth and less repetitive statements, but for a light read I liked it.
And I'm glad they both got their happily ever after.

I related to Blossom so much. I am also in a wheelchair and all her fears, anxiety, and insecurity I have also. I love the story. I love how Carter steps in to help without hesitation but at the same time gives Blossom space to be independent. Although sometimes his help is not appreciated or is mistaken for pity, that is how relationships with a disabled person evolve. The able bodied person has to learn when to step in and when to stay back. The disabled person also has to learn asking and accepting help is not a weakness.

This book wasn’t for me. It was a very easy read, I figured it would be a Christmas book but it wasn’t…at all. Between repeated words of pinched lips, the MC crying on what felt like every other page and the two have little to no chemistry, I hope all the books I have bought from her are a whole lot better than this one.

This was sweet but not a Christmas romance as I thought I was reading. I did like the disability rep, and positive single mum rep though. I just missed that Christmas cheer that is usually in these Christmas novellas

This is a sweet, clean smalltown romance! It has a FMC that is handicapable and has a son. Then a workaholic MMC that needs to slow down. It is an adorable story with depth.
