Boston and I are working hard to make a name for ourselves. We’re on our second case…and we may be in over our heads.
When we arrive in Massachusetts to investigate the case of Jacob Rutly, we never expect to be caught in a legend so much bigger and deadlier than we can imagine. There’s almost thirty-years of whispered secrets, and Boston and I are ready to dig deep to see what’s myth and what’s murder.
Nothing is what it seems, and no one is to be trusted. Maybe not even Boston’s own mysterious father.
Some things are better left in the dark.
Thing is…that’s where we’re most at home.

A.A. Dark has become one of my favorite dark romance authors.
Is Crossed Paths one of the author’s darkest books? No. Was it still challenging to read at times? Fuck, yes! Coming from someone with no triggers.
I have equally love and missed Boston and Anna.
Crossed Paths is the next chapter in their life in Boston’s parent's new house in Massachusetts. I will never look at Purgatory Chasm State Reservation the same again. Ever!
Boston wants answers about his father, while both investigate a murder I was once fell down the dark abyss and loved it. Seriously never want to jump off their crazy train. There is no end to Boston’s obsession. He will always be one of my book boyfriends.
What they both don’t expect is this to be much bigger than one murder and so many different intricate crossed paths with so many secrets.
Honesty I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next. I can’t get enough of those two. I hope to see more of Anna’s Annalise.
Oh man, this was a hard one, emotionally, to read because of who the victims are. Please heed the trigger warnings. Anna and Boston are on another case, things get intense both personally and professionally for both of them in this book. I love these two together. Boston’s dad makes me NERVOUS though yall. I want to know all about him, I feel like he's a big time bad man. This story reads like a grown up, explicit whodunit. It's a fast paced, emotionally driven horror/mystery story with a healthy side of Boston and Anna sexy time. The sexy time is HOT.
I read an arc and willingly posted my honest review.
It was great to read Crossed Paths and get the chance to read about Anna and Boston together again in this one. Its dark. Its very suspenseful and itll want you to keep on reading to find out what is going to happen. I really enjoyed the story plot and there is definitely some trigger warnings in this one involving children so be aware of that! Mr Friend is definitely Not your friend. Definitely cant wait for the next one!
This book ticks all the boxes for lovers of dark reads. It has a few triggers but if you’re accustomed to A.A. Dark’s books then that’s a given. That being said I tried really hard to unravel the mysteries surrounding these characters but as usual my guess was close, but wrong.
Crossed Paths is a mystery, horror, psychological thriller, love story all wrapped up in a neat package.
Of course Anna and Boston are, as usual, supurb together.
Crossed Paths is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat, page-turner you don't want to miss. Anna and Boston are a steamy power couple in the middle of a plot that doesn't disappoint, and nothing is as it seems until A.A. Dark brings it all together with brilliant perfect that left me wanting so much more Anna and Boston!
Two of my favorite characters are back and it's nothing less than brilliant!
What happens when Dexter meets Nancy Drew? You get The chronicles of Anna Monroe and Boston Marks... And I can't get enough of this series.
When I met these characters in their own books, I fell in love with them, but then the absolute worst thing imaginable happens, and these two combined forces. . . And it's magic.
Boston and Anna are now truth seekers, taking on the cases that the main stream media won't touch, launching their own brand of vlogger investigative reporting. Together, they are getting to the truth in their own twisted ways.
While looking for an abducted child, they uncover decades of secrets that lead them further and further down the rabbit hole. Without getting into spoiler territory, let's just say, not all family skeletons stay in the closet forever.
Not only is the story enthralling, we get some amazing cameos from some old friends this book, opening up a whole new world and I can't wait to see where A.A. Dark takes it next!
Definitely heed the trigger warnings. After all, this is an A.A Dark book, so it's not all rainbows and sunshine. Like the rest of her work, it's ripe full of all the things we like to pretend don't happen to good people.
But of course A.A. doesn't disappoint us that enjoy a little bit of spice on the side of our dark and macabre. Boston and Anna definitely bring it in their own twisted obsessive ways.
I just so happened to find this series from TikTok.. (thank youuu btbarbie93) I don't even think it has been a week and I have completely finished them. I liked them at first but wasn't comfortable, it is the darkest I have read yet, but wow..it just kept pulling me in harder and harder and I couldn't get enough.
Cross Paths is when I fell in love with Boston too. He has annoyed me from day one, and this book completely turned me into a lover. Read these books..they are beyond incredible.
This is part of a series so you want to have read the earlier books first. I am so addicted to Anna and Boston and the journey they’re on. Each book I learn more about them and fall in love even more, thinking it can’t get any better than this but somehow it always does. everything.
In this next installment we are on the hunt with them and looking for clues around every corner. I had my detective cap on that’s for sure and I still had no idea what was going on. The characters are well built and keep you wanting more. Each page lured in and never let go. The mystery never ended and I ate it up. The suspense kept me guessing. A thrill ride that had you breathless from the start. The real treat for me was the emotions of it all. This book deals with some dark and heavy topics that’s just a reality of our world but if you have triggers check them. But to me it didn’t feel overly so. Each word is grounded in such raw emotion you can feel the weight of it. It’s written brilliantly. I can’t wait to see what’s next for my favorite pair.
I adore it when this author brings back this couple and some other familiar faces. This book will hit hard and proceed with caution. While not full on dark from cover to cover like some of the others the sickening will more than make up for it and pop back up when you least expect it. I took longer to read than usual because I wasn't well, but this book was the perfect distraction when I did pick it up. Although I still have questions at the end I'm sure I'm jusf being greedy and the author will answer the at a later date.
Boston and Anna just keep getting better…and A.A. Dark just keeps on delivering. She has permanently cemented herself into one of my favorite dark romance/horror authors and all books here on out shall be one click reads. This was yet another incredible installment into the Boston/Anna world and while I had a hard time stomaching some of this adventure, I was equal parts (if not more) intrigued and captivated as I flew through page after page. While this may not be the darkest book in this saga to date, it really pulled at my heart strings and there were certainly moments that felt oblivion adjacent.
Boston is crazy. There’s nothing else that can be said. He’s absolutely head over heels unhinged burn the world down obsessed with Anna…and I have never been more here for it. He anticipates her needs and even through his uncontrollable moments, he recognizes when he is too much for Anna and makes every effort to adjust. I love seeing his dark side and it makes me appreciate so much more when we do get the tender, vulnerable moments with Boston, because those are just as wonderful.
And Anna? She’s still as strong, fierce, and badass as ever. Her relationship with Boston just keeps getting better and while she’s taken some time to come around, she handles his obsessive side with such perfect patience and I really love where she’s at in their relationship now. It absolutely shattered my heart to see her struggle with the details of this case, especially as it hit even closer to home than she or Boston could have initially anticipated. But watching her find redemption in the ending was poetic and I loved every moment of it.
The villain here was once again SO relatable…how does this keep happening? I love that A.A. Dark sends us into their mind so we can see their internal struggles and their dark, depraved thought processes. Mr. Friend is so dynamic and my heart really ached for him even though I loathed him and was repulsed by him for a majority of the book.
I loved the little sneak peek/references we got at Garden of the Gods toward the end as well and I can’t wait to see where Boston and Anna’s next adventure takes them after that whirlwind of an ending.
OMG! This was a fantastic mystery/psychological thriller with such intense and dramatic suspense that it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, biting my nails with anxiety and gasping at some of the jaw dropping revelations that happen. It was dark, twisted and explosively thrilling with page turning suspense and completely unhinged and deranged characters.
Boston and Anna take us on a dangerous, gut wrenching and insanely emotional rollercoaster ride that had my head spinning, my heart exploding and my panties melting! These two fascinate me and have me enthralled with their inner dialogue and their back-and-forth banter. I loved how they evaluated each piece of new information or evidence that they were given. It made me feel like I was right there in the story trying to solve the crime with them too.
Fantastic writing that pulls you in, keeps you captivated and turning the pages quickly to see how the story plays out in the end.
Loved it and can’t wait for Boston and Anna’s next crime solving adventure.
AA Dark Crossed Paths is the explosive finale to a phenomenal dark romance series that grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go. If you’ve followed this journey, prepare for a conclusion that is as haunting as it is satisfying.
⚠️ Trigger warnings absolutely apply — this is not a light read. The themes are heavy, raw, and may not be for everyone. But if you can handle the darkness, the reward is a gripping, emotionally charged story that will stay with you long after the final page. The characters are deeply flawed yet magnetic, and the author does a brilliant job tying together every thread from previous books. The tension, the passion, the pain—it all crescendos into an ending that is both shocking and perfect.
If you're a dark romance fan looking for a series that goes there and delivers, this series is well worth the read.
This whole series!! The mysteries that each individual story brought to the whole plot throughout the 5 books was so intriguing!
After every chapter you find yourself saying “well I might as well keep going” and then before you know it you’re at the end and it’s all coming together and you literally can’t put the book down anymore!
The one thing I will say, is that there are definitely still some mysterious elements from this plot that weren’t 100% divulged to us yet…. which leads me to believe that characters from these stories may appear again in more/other books down the line! So I’m super excited about that!
Overall, I would highly, highly recommend continuing with this series after reading the 24690 series (but only if you enjoyed that one, of course)!
The continued adventures and romance of Anna and Boston takes off with a bang. We have them going to Boston's parents to report on a missing child, and getting to know his parents, adding to their personal stories. This case they are on is so dark, even Anna and Boston have a hard time handling it. The story is extremely fast paced, full of characters that we already love, and those we are getting to know. So many twists and turns your head will be spinning. Everything you want in a thriller, you will find in this book. Haunting and sticks with you. Highly recommended!
Two forces who were paired with death at adolescence become an unstoppable duo.
They have pulled energy from their dark inner souls and channeled it for the greater good.
Anna Monroe and Boston Marks leave Alabama and land themselves in Massachusetts to take on a sickness that has plague the town for years.
The pair work diligently and tirelessly to uncover past legends of trauma in hopes that it will lead to answers and to the person responsible for taking the lives of young children.
The path is gruesome and told with such finesse I am truly sad that it’s over
I really love this series and these characters. I think there is only 1 thing that irritates me when it comes to this series. Why does Anna always get taken by the killer? Every book is the same when it comes to this point. Boston is distracted, Anna is curious, Anna gets kidnapped. How many times does it have to happen before Anna learns not to go anywhere without Boston? Can't wait to see what happens next, but I'm ready for Boston and Analise to kill someone together. That could definitely be a spicy scene.

Boston is so .. possessive. We love that. This book was HARD to read at times … definitely recommend checking trigger warnings. Something about this interconnected series has me hooked. I have NEVER read anything like it. And sometimes reading it, I question how I can get through it 🤣 I am loving Boston as much as Bram so far, even though they have their own .. issues, so I can’t wait to see who we will meet next!
“I’m always two steps behind her and almost never seen. If you talk to her like that again, it’ll be the last time you say anything.”

Dark. Suspenseful and intense. I love Anna and Boston so much. They are the perfect power couple, on the hunt for the truth. Investigating cases other outlets won’t cover.
Loooking for a missing child, they end up down a deep, dark rabbit hole that seems endless. This thriller kept my whole attention as I completely devoured this novel. I love multiple pov and I really loved getting a glance at Mr. Friends thoughts and feelings.
Not very dark, and it was a little slow. It took me a bit to get through. But it was a great ending to Anna and Bostons story. Though I feel like one more book should be in order, as there is a few loose ends such as the wedding, do they end up pregnant? more adventures? do they get the RV? working more with Bram and Ev? (what even happened to them?) I just dont feel like this book says goodbye and the end. Hoping to read more of their story
I was scared to read this because of the subject matter, but I adore this author, so I started reading and less than halfway thru I had to buy the paperback.... It was so good and once I started, I ended up skipping work to finish it. You need to read this book! 5 stars isn't enough to rate it. Anna and Boston forever!
This was a really nice dive into Bostons family. Seeing where Boston came from and introducing the next series in this book was awesome! I loved seeing Anna's and Bostons relationship deepen. And I still cant get over the cameos from the 24690 characters. Absolutely OBSESSED with the A.A. Dark universe.
Meh. I think this series had a lot of potential except for the last book. I feel the ending happened so fast. It went from Anna starting to piece together that Liam was the one taking the kids, to her actually finding out it was officially him within a couple chapters. I could have used for build up for that.

Check the trigger warnings! You’ve been warned but oh my heart, this was a rollercoster of emotions especially around the victim (you'll understand this part when you've read this story). Such an intense and twisted ride.
I like this author and her books are a good read. I liked this one but because children were involved it was a bit harder to keep reading. If you like this author and her books you will like this one as well.
Absolutely amazing! Dark! Sexy! And totally unique !
For me it was how it was connected to Whitlock! I just love to read about Ev and Bram! And everything related! Now I also love Boston and Anna! I’d love for that to be another book!
