I don't often write in books, but I wrote in this one, because I wasn't just reading it to read it, but to learn from it. While it is generally directed at those interested in dance in a church or outreach setting, it also talks of other creative giftings (music, painting, writing, etc.), because oftentimes, creative people have multiple gifts. I really appreciated that about this book. And, unlike other books, I plan on taking the parts I marked up and, hopefully, writing about them. Definitely was worth the time I took to read it!
This was a great book for anyone wanting to learn more about leading worship through dance. It's also great for a church leader to read - especially those who are pursuing the incorporation of the arts in your services. I really appreciated Heather Clark's emphasis on the importance of the purity and position of your heart before you step in front of the church to lead worship through the arts. She offers some great questions to help keep yourself in check as well as those on your team. The book is filled with practical steps for incorporating and growing the arts in your church.
