When cheer mom Abby Winters and her daughter, Ashley, head out of town for a cheer competition the very worst happens shortly after check-in at their hotel.
With one dead body already, a hostile detective that does not like Abby and some very scary coaches, Abby is concerned the sport her daughter loves is going to be forever tainted by murder.
Can she catch the killer, without getting arrested herself, and save the competition?
As a child, L.C. thought she would either be a truck driver (thanks to Jerry Reed in Smokey and the Bandit) or work at Taco Bell (her favorite restaurant as a child). As she grew older, she realized her talents lay in other areas, and for the last several years has been a college professor teaching business and English.
Through all her career choices, she has continued to have a passion for writing stemming from childhood, where, as an only child, she developed a vivid imagination.
She is proud of her vast experiences in life from barrel racing, to being on the dance team for a semi-pro basketball team, to being a mom of 2 amazing kids.
She decided to follow her dream as an author in 2009 and has worked her way up to having 5 fans (maybe 6 now). She often tells her family and friends that no one is safe from his or her ventures slipping into her books. She lives in Indiana with her husband, kids and two very spoiled dogs.
L.C. previously published her cozy mysteries under Laina Turner.
Abby Winters a Cheerleader Mum and her daughter Ashley attend a Cheerleader competition and the worst happened after they arrive at their hotel. Tom a judge was fround by Hillary who was another judge in the competition . One dead body and a hostile detective that doesn't like Abby and some coaches who are not friendly were some of the problem she had to face. Abby was worried that her daughter who loved the sport would be discouraged by all this. She wanted to find the real killer without getting in trouble with the police and save the competition. I am on the ARC term and I leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Anyone who has been to a competition, especially cheer, knows the excitement mixed with nerves. The cheer moms feel it more than the kids. Add in the murder of a judge and the energy goes thru the room for at least one cheer mom. Abby is not only a super cheer mom, but is becoming quite the sleuth. A nail biting page turner can only be written by another cheer mom, and Ms Turner is a super mom
It really is unlike any other series I’ve ever read, in a good way! First a coach (book 1), now a judge, dangerous world this cheer competition world! A pageturner!
