Rooted Together: A Family Devotional to Help Build A Long-Lasting Relationship With God and Each Other
Rooted Together is all about relationships. The relationship you have with your family and with God is more relevant today then they have ever been. Cultivating those relationships can be difficult, but thankfully there are ways we can begin to establish deep roots and the foundational spiritual connections that can bring you and your family together while strengthening your relationship with God.
Over the next year, you and your family will study the Bible in a way that lays the foundation for spiritual and relational growth. Each week you will explore and apply Scripture to cultivate loving and long-lasting relationships with one another and with God.
The devotionals in this book have been categorized into six themes based on the characteristics of love found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. At the beginning of each week, you will notice a color and symbol that indicate which theme you will be studying. Those themes Loving KindnessJoyRespectFaithfulnessEnduranceEvangelismEach weekly devotional will consist of four Read It – one or two verses from God’s Word to be read together as a family.Think About It – a brief explanation of the assigned scripture reading and how it applies to your family.Talk About It – questions or prompts to help engage you and your family in meaningful conversations about God’s Word.Apply It – practical, fun ideas to help you and your family live out what you have learned each week or deepen your conversation.We truly hope that with this devotional, you can become rooted together and well-established as a family that seeks God and each other and can withstand any storm.
