He lost his sister and brother and claimed a new brother, only to lose him too. But he kept his last promise and got clean. He finally gave up searching for anything, he didn’t deserve it.

Her life hadn’t been a bed of roses, but it was full of love. A sister barely hanging on and debts mounting around them, she wandered into a strip club looking for a job and found a damaged soul. Unafraid, she challenged his ideas of himself, and he cherished her.

Hey there!

Thanks for checking out my author profile.

I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.

I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.

I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!

My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!

My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!

Rage MC is the first series I've Indie published and lots more Rage MC books will follow. I have several other series' I'm working on as well. So you will be getting a lot more Elizabeth N Harris Books! If you have any questions please check out my website and use the contact page to contact me in a variety of ways!

We have seen James more and more in the latter Rage books, so with this one we focus on him and get to see his HEA. I didn't realize that James was as old as he was, that shocked me a bit. I was also didn't realize that more than a year later he was so mired down in grief from Frank's death. I thought he had moved past the hard part of grief, but it seems like he stalled out and hid so much from those that cared about him.

I wasn't sure about Kate for James. I loved Kate from the moment we met her and she changed her life on a dime for her sister and how she did whatever it took to help care for her sister. I think Kate seemed to innocent for James, not that he didn't deserve someone like that, but maybe someone like that wouldn't accept his past. I did love that James laid it out for Kate and gave her an out, yet I was glad when Kate didn't take it.

The drama with the clubs drove me nuts! I hated that someone was coming after James and screwing with his life. When everything was revealed, I felt like it was rushed, from the reveal to who and why things were happening. I guess we'll have to see how thing shake out in the next books.

Another new favorite.

I was thrilled to get the story of James and to see his HEA. James is a very complicated man and the twists and turns of this book were very compelling . Rage MC and Hellfire MC quickly became favorites and now I can add Washingtons to the list. Thank you for your stories.

Arc reader review.

Elizabeth's writing style is growing as her books increase. James was such a good read, there was some emotional times and a few scenes brought tears to my eyes. The memories of Frank and how James has struggled with his death were heart-rending and although James maintains his status quo, you can feel his suffering.

Kate is much like James, and Tammi made me cry. Elizabeth deals with Tammi's illness with dignity and courage. I loved how protective James was but also how Kate would call him on his arrogance. Kate was one of the stronger women we've come across, life hasn't turned out the way it was meant to but Kate's carried on doing what was needed. Yeah she was low when she met James but she had a goal in sight and kept working towards it.

And Rage! Yes Rage pop up in this book with Drake being in the thick of things again and incurring James's wrath!

Arc Reader. Highly recommend.

What a great kick off to a new series. This is the James Washington we know and love. We get to see a lot more in depth character and what led him to make the choices he did. Even though the book is about James, Rage characters pop up and it's great to see the Rage world expanding this way.

Kate is a great character and she's the perfect foil for James. Both of them have sacrificed for family and I love how Kate can see past James's history and see the man he can be. Some sad conversations in the book, especially towards the end and a huge shock I did not see coming.

The plot kept you on your toes as you tried to work out who the villain was, and you won't until the final chapter because it had a twist I did not expect.

Always a favourite of mine, James was never meant to get his own book, let alone his own series. He was meant to die but when he raced into the fire at Washingtons, I knew we had a tortured hero on our hands! James needed redemption and boy does he earn it. At the cost of a beloved brother. But did Frank's sacrifice give James what Frank desired for him?

James has retreated into his shell. Letting no one in, and is alone and adrift. Now legal he knows he's missing something. And while being broody in his office he catches sight of a girl being forced to strip. No matter what James got into, women were never abused on his watch!

Kate, desperate for money to save her sister, is stunned when a handsome guy strides in to rescue her and then offers her a job. When Kate discovers her rescuer is no one other than the infamous James Washington, she's wary. Until James barrels into her life and saves her precious sister Tammi from suffering any further.

Love should win out? Except Frank forgot to tell James one very important thing....

James' reaction when Frank died was one that haunted me, it was so genuine and grief stricken I felt for him. Now we see him a year later and supposedly moving on with his life and yet James isn't. He's still grieving and holding everyone at arms length. His relationship with Gunner had improved but no one else has been allowed to get close. Until Kate smashes her way into his life and tears everything down James has built to protect his emotions.

Kate's got her own problems and will fight to the death for her sister. Tammi is a very sympathetic character and really sweet. Kate is unprepared for James but not willing to let him go once she has him. Two strong characters clash as they attempt to protect each other.

Rage pop up in the book, which is wonderful, the author is clearly making a world built around Rapid City and interlinking the books.

The ending was sad, but also happy, Franks legacy is not lost and his memory will continue! Loved it!

Loved James and Kate

Love Kate and James. Kate is the light to his dark. After going clean after making a promise to Frank his "brother" and best friend who died, James finds Kate working on his club after a string of attacks verbal and physical he decides to Claim her like Rage does its women. He is a lot older than her 24 with him being 51. But when you know you Know. Kate's smart daddy and the heart of a lion and perfect for James! Awesome plot with twists turns and the heat you come to expect from Elizabeth N Harris! If you haven't checked out her books I 100% Recommend. Awesome Job Beth xx

My favorite of all the series

I adore Kate and think she's the perfect balance for James. We still get to see some of the Rage MC and the old ladies. James has extreme survivors guilt so he's just waking up each day and trying to live without his best friend and brother. There ate some very sexy scenes and hair raising ones too. James learns a shocking truth that breaks his heart.

Shocking

Oh, this story was so good. The secrets that are hidden deeply are shocking, and they come out in the end. Seeing the love and loyalty, the sacrifices Kate made to take care of her sister. James had a deep love for Frank as a brother all though, not by blood. They had a strong, unbreakable bond. I really enjoyed this story. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Good Read

This book was an enjoyable read, I loved James when he popped up in the Rage MC series and I didn’t find the reading order until I was a lot further ahead than where this book falls so I’d heard Kate mentioned a few times through that. I enjoyed the story and reading about the two characters coming together. I also liked how Frank played an important role in the story. This is a book I would recommend.

James is way more emotional than I have it credit for when I started. Frank might be dead but he has a starring role in this book. I love the connections made at the end and how it will continue this series of books. I will admit for me that the romance between James and Kate wasn't the important part though. Loved this book.

James and Kate’s story by Elizabeth N Harris

This book is interconnected to her Rage and Hellfire books as some characters are in both. James a dirty businessman who has now gone clean and Kate who is trying to support her sister and her battle against cancer. James feels he is to dirty for Kate but she loves him and feels that love can conquer all. She is right.

Successful, rich and very handsome. He turned his life around. Kate struggled, lost her ambition and nursed her sister through cancer. Together they found love, found themselves. Loved James and Kate’s story ❤️❤️❤️ 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This story of James and Kate is very good. Has new characters and some familiar ones as well. The love story is great and suspense is good as well. This story was written with a lot of different emotions, keep the tissues close by. Definitely reading the next book!

Glad to read James story, sad really and losing his best friends d Frank didn't help. Kate is taking care of her sister who has cancer. She's been trying to find a job and ends up at Washington's, that's how they met. Of course with his past things get complicated. There's a surprise they didn't see coming. HEA.

Trigger Warnings.
It's lovely to see the HEA story of James, Kate is perfect for him. It was devastating when Frank died, leaving James in a dark place. With Kate barrelling into his lonely sphere, adding Tammi into the mix. James's is shockingly claimed.
