Blue Malibu

According to my mother and therapist, I was a sex addict. According to myself, they were full of shit and needed to loosen up a bit. I've always been very open when it came to sex, and for the past couple summers that I've spent in Malibu, Gage had been my go-to when I needed release. But this summer, I wanted more. It was Dad's two best friends, Lando and Dawson, who caught my attention, and one by one, they fell for my fun little games. Dawson was the first to fall to his knees, and Lando followed close behind. All the teasing and sneaking around excited me, though, there was someone that excited me more than those two. My Dad. I wished for this summer to be different, and my wish came true. But just as life seemed perfect, fate got in the way and shook things up.

Don't care how extremely taboo this is. If you've read most of Seven Rue's books, this has more substance than all of the others combined. Just wish there was a second book. Am I getting twisted and sick for reading all her books? Probably not. It's why it is called fiction, for fvck's sake.

God. . . what the hell happened here?! 🤧

To be honest, I got curious with this story because of the covers of the book (both of them are so freaking beautiful and. . . yeah my heart is breaking right now 🤧) but then I started the book and I was kind of enjoying the story.

I don't know what was the author idea for this plot but this was a freaking mess. Like I said in another review, I'm not in favor of incest or crazy relationships in real life but I'm kind of reading a lot of books with these themes in the moment so that didn't bother me what did it to me was how stupid the plot got.

The whole relationship with a porn star and her dad was so unnecessary just like the whole crazy plot about cysts. Like what tf was going on?!

Instead of crazy (stupid, I'm sorry) plots this could have been a good reverse harem (that it ended up not being in MY opinion) with a lot of hot scenes but it ended up being a porn book trying to be serious while making you think (I could only thought about how dumb this was and why I was wasting my time 🙄).

This started being an good read and I though for sure this was going to be a 3 stars review but it all ended up just being a freaking mess.

▬ 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬: taboo, age gap, parent's friend(s), daddy kink, polyamorous, summer trip
▬ 𝐭𝐰: incest (dad x daughter), disability

5 ☆ Check Trigger Warnings this is a very taboo book. First I love the Greta Van Fleet references in this book. Seven knows how to write a taboo spicy book and this was no different. It follows Riva who goes to Malibu for the summer and stays with her dad. She ends up having feelings for her her dads best friends Dawson and Lando but she soon realizes that she also has feelings for her dad Benks. I love this and I couldn’t put it down once I started it. The spice as well was just chefs kiss I mean .I’m obsessed with sevens writting and can’t wait to read more.

Seven Rue is one of my favorite authors. I love it when authors aren't afraid to write the stories that most would find sick and twisted. Taboo romance is one of my favorite genres 🤷🏻‍♀️ Seven Rue always knocks it out of the ballpark 🖤 Her stories aren't for the pearl clutching type so make sure you read the WARNING 🥴🖤

I’ve read a few Seven Rue books and I liked some more than others. My favorite until this one had been Echo but Blue Malibu was honestly just as good. I will say it does beat Echo in substance because this one has more character development than any of her other books I’ve read. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the plot development and I can agree to an extent. Eighty percent of the story had a good steady plot and the end did fall a bit flat because there wasn’t much action or drama but outside of that I enjoyed it. This is one of her more taboo books because it has a father/daughter relationship and they are blood related. I don’t really have triggers so most of Sevens books don’t really get to me, of course they’re out there and uncomfortable, but in general if you have an open mind they are definitely interesting stories worth reading. Blue Malibu in particular was highly rated by me because the progression of the relationship was steady. The MMC Benks was good to the FMC Riva and treated her respectfully and he was simply a sweet character, Riva took a little more time for me to get used to because she was a manipulative character all through the beginning but when she and Benks got together you saw her sweet caring side which I liked. It’s not really a “why choose” imo because the main relationship is with Benks and Riva with Dawson and Lando joining in sometimes. Overall it was interesting and the relationship was by far the most developed of any of Sevens books that I’ve read so far so that alone was great. It was a quick easy read without any triggers that were too heavy. If you’re looking for a very taboo, light, interesting read then you may enjoy Blue Malibu.
*Side note the spice level in my opinion was about a 3/5*

TW: incest, endometriosis
Tropes: taboo, dad-daughter, dads best friends, reverse harem (semi), forbidden love

Honestly, I fell so in love with these characters. Riva is spending the summer with her dad Benks at his house in Malibu like she does ever summer. Straight out the gate, it is said that Riva enjoys and craves pleasure so much so her mom made her go to therapy for her “addiction”. This summer changed her life and it was all for the better. And like omg Riva and her flirting and playful banter with her dads two best friends Lando and Dawson was so funny and intriguing to see, she was testing just how far the would take things. Ughhhh I love Benks he was such a sweet man to Riva and obviously cause he was her dad but even as their relationship progressed he was always very attentive to her and her needs. When I tell you the spice was spicing, it was most definitely absolutely hotttt! I also loved the cameo from Raylie and Miller from the $3x tape series, can’t wait to read more of them also. All in all, I love love love!

Okey, empecemos

Harassing taboo authors and getting them banned out of pettiness and jealousy ? Nah, you can burn for that. Readers: DO NOT SUPPORT THIS AUTHOR. She’s been anonymously attacking other taboo authors, getting them banned from Amazon, and ruining their livelihoods! There are FAR better authors out there that aren’t completely psycho obsessed like this one.

Another Seven Rue book that I absolutely enjoyed! I love the forbidden, big age gaps and spice, and this author never lets me down! Riva’s fascination with her dad’s friends is what starts the journey into the forbidden! I loved the way she pushed for what she wanted and was willing to try anything. Probably one of my favorites by this author! If you love really forbidden, age gaps with loads of spice, then you need to read this book! Don’t say I didn’t warn you it’s forbidden!

Four star because of how spicy it was. it's too taboo. So you can only read it if can differentiate between fictional and real life other wise don't.

Loved it!! It’s super hot and very taboo. It’s typical Seven Rue and pushes all the boundaries.

Lots and LOTS of spice throughout and I couldn’t put it down.

I think this book had a lot of potential. The taboo element was spot on but this story could have gone so much farther. I wanted more.
