Rosemary is an actress, turned fitness instructor, turned author of romantic suspense.
She's told stories and entertained people her entire life. Writing is her favorite because she doesn't have to leave the house or put on pants! Plus, the voices in her head do what she says, for the most part!
She lives in Las Vegas with her husband, Bill and their adopted senior pooch, Brownie. She still teaches cycling classes. She claims they keep her sane-ish!
If you pick up one of her books you're in for a ride full of suspense, humor and page turning drama. Also, there will be a rescue dog for some extra tail wagging fun.
This story had me holding my breath a lot. Sheesh! Abby is the main character, as well as the narrator. Starting on page one, (and Abby is on every single page) my anxiety level already started rising. So many times, I was literally yelling at Abby, “what’s the matter with you?!?” There were many emotions coming through while reading, such as: fright, happiness, confusion, nervousness, anger, sadness, etc.
However; the last 3-5 chapters left me in the dust?!?!? That ending completely blew my mind!!
This story is excellent!! It’s a definite stand alone, you do not need to read Books 1 & 2.
It’s a fast read because once those pages start turning, you won’t want to put this book down!!

“My burrowing days were over.”
Abby is in Hope Ridge to house-sit for her sister and brother-in-law. What no one knows is this trip is more than a favor. It’s an escape and hopefully a regrouping. Abby has a secret, and she isn’t sure what to do. When her sister's latest foster dog steals Abby’s heart, the last thing Abby expected was to become a suspect in a double homicide.
THE ENDING. If there isn’t another book with the rest of this story, I will explode. Holy buckets.
The first half of this was a slow burn. We spent a lot of time getting to know Abby, Brownie, and other characters around Hope Ridge.
But when things shift, they shift massively. This ride very quickly goes off the rails and will leave you clinging to anything you can reach for dear life.
I loved Abby. She is tough, intelligent, loyal, and kind. She was a fantastic leading lady. Brownie was another unique character inspired by the real-life dog, Brownie. I loved the connection.
The twists and turns in this book were bananas. I spent so much time suspecting all the wrong people. When the big reveal happened, my jaw hit the ground.
The biggest twist is the final chapter, though. Holy buckets. I could scream- it was so scary and so unexpected. I hope there is more to this story because I would love to know what happens next!
Just when we think everything is sunshine and rainbows, happiness and love in Hope Ridge.
When I was looking for a dog, I looked on the Grand Forks Circle of Friends website and saw a cute terrier mix (Ellingsworth) and a min pin (Missy), and I made an appointment to meet them. When I arrived, a volunteer took me back to the small dog kennel, where 10 or 15 little doggos were barking their faces off. The only dog not barking was the little terrier I was there to see. The volunteer went into the room to leash him, and as soon as she set him on the cement floor, he went ridged. She basically dragged him to the hallway, where I bent down and greeted him. His little tail started wagging so fast, and he peed. The volunteer looked mortified and said she would clean it up, but I was in love. He came home with me that afternoon. I didn’t even meet the other dog. Ellingsworth did not fit this dog at all, so I changed his name to Bentley Monroe (thanks for the help, mom), and we’ve been together since. He’s traveled by plane, train, boat, and car with me. He’s been to more states than most people, and he is so very loved. It Rescuing animals is such an incredible experience.
I currently have five rescue dogs, four cats, and a blue and gold macaw. I am 100% a foster failure and wouldn’t change a thing. Cold noses and warm hearts, mixed with so much fur, make me happy.
It has been awhile since I read a murder-mystery and Killer Revenge was a great book to dive back into this genre. Abby offers to house sit for her sister in Hope Ridge as a chance to push the reset button on her life, because what better way to escape the crazyness of city life than staying in a small quiet town. But from the moment that she arrives, life for Abby is anything but quiet. With the police turning up as soon as she arrives and disturbing encounters with the neighbours.
Killer Revenge is the third book in the Hope Ridge series but I did not feel that I had missed any back story, though some of the characters did appear in the previous novels in this series.
Rosemary Willhide is a new to me author and she kept me entertained with the personalities of her characters. She throws twists to the story, some that you wonder about but others that you do not suspect at all. I have a soft spot for older animals and I must admit that for me Brownie did steal the spotlight. I had a few comments about the book that I directed to Rosemary and my heart did get a bit mushy when I discovered that Brownie is based on a true story. Thank you Rosemary for sharing Brownie's story and taking my comments onboard wonderfully.
Abby Bradshaw is an overworked and underappreciated assistant to one of the most prestigious book editors in NYC. However, like any good worker she needs a break and decides to spend the summer in Hoper Ridge with her sister. However, when she arrives in Hope Ridge, things aren't exactly how she had expected. Around every corner is a struggle and something else seems to go wrong. She has the misfortune of meeting her sister's neighbor from across the street and things only go worse from there. Abby is thrust into a web of lies and deceit that small towns are excellent at cultivating. Abby must figure out who is actually pulling the strings and causing all the problems before it's too late.
This is my second book by Rosemary and it definitely won't be my last. The characters are fun and lively and I found myself really getting into the story and enjoying watching it all unfold. I have a tendency to start to skim a bit when the story drags and I stayed focused on this one all the way through.
Absolutely brilliant! Rosemary Willhide certainly knows how to write a suspenseful story. If you are looking for a "killer" mystery with twists and turns do yourself a favor and go grab this one. The third instalment of the series is another well-written addictive really Good read with wonderful characters. And the ending...just WOW! Thumbs way up!
Loved the book. It was exciting full of twists and turns.loved the characters. The ending was not what I expected. Everything in the book kept you on high alert. Well written.kudos to the author.
BRILIANT READ! Rosemary has done it again, this cozy mystery is brilliantly done and keeps you guessing until the very end. Just when you think you've guessed the plot there's a sudden change in direction that keeps you guessing all over again. If you love a mix of doggie love, mean girls and a deranged writer & past love you will adore this murder mystery.
OMG...I was not expecting that big of a twist. Wow...I'm still shaking my head. Rosemary Willhide has a huge talent to write mysteries that hold a reader spellbound. I am so impressed with this story. I recommend this book to anyone that loves to be kept in suspense. It is a great book.
Abby goes to stay at her sister's home and soon meets some of the stranger elements of Hope Ridge before becoming a suspect in a double murder. Once again, Willhide has woven a mystery full of wrong turns and mistaken leads. Each time I thought I knew what was happening, I was wrong. I trust that there is a fourth in this series, otherwise, Rosemary, I hate the last line!
Abby Bradshaw came to Hope Ridge for the Summer to spend time with her sister and her husband. She's looking forward to some peace and tranquility in this quiet town. Abby was treated like a personal slave by a well-known Editor in NYC, her personal life is a shambles, and she's burnt out.
Abby gets very little time to settle into her sisters flash new home before dramas start - an apparent psychotic neighbour and her yappy dog, a weird guy at the park and Police on her doorstep. Things just go from bad to worse and Abby finds herself embroiled in a murder investigation.
The only comfort she gets is from Amy's foster dog Brownie, who's big, soulful eyes capture her heart immediately.
Abby can't catch a break, all evidence now points to her involvement in a double murder.... She doesn't know who to trust in this town. Her new friends Vanessa and Caroline help her navigate through it all and then, there's Doctor Green Eyes - is he as nice as he seems???
Will Abby be able to get the Police off her back and find out who has set her up?
I loved, loved, loved this book. Part 3 in the Hope Ridge Series. It was an emotional roller-coaster for me - especially when Brownie was involved. One scene in particular had my eyes 'leaking', her character (and name) is based on Rosemary's dog Brownie 🥰. I read more about Brownie in the Acknowledgments and how the real Brownie was adopted from a resuce agency by Rosemary and her husband Bill and that Brownie HAD a home but after 8 years, her 'family' dumped her at a shelter (cue more leaking eyes). WHO TF DOES THAT 😡?
There are so many twists and turns in this story, it gave me whiplash lol. I really liked Abby's character, she was kind, strong, and resilient.
A suspenseful story FULL of colourful character's that will have you trying to figure out the answers.
You won't.
THAT ending though 👀, I thought I had it sussed, but nooooo.
I highly recommend this series, first book is Killer Fiction, second is Killer Deception and most of the character's from the first two books flow into this one.
Thanks Rosemary for another brilliant read. I've read and reviewed It's Always The Husband so Fatal Vows is next - after I tackle a couple more books on my TBR 😊.
Abby Bradshaw is staying at her sister Amy’s home in Hope Ridge. Only it’s not just a visit, it’s an escape. Time for her to get away from everything. But secrets have a way of following you wherever you go. The last thing Abby expects is to become a suspect in a double homicide. This is my first book by Rosemary Willhide and I was thoroughly impressed. This was slow at first, allowing you to really get to know Abby, Brownie, and the others in Hope Ridge, including the weird neighbors. Once the suspense picks up, you’ll be on the edge of your seat. I love all the twists, turns, and excitement this book has to offer. The story was well-written, and the suspense brilliantly executed. The characters were well-developed and interesting. I love Ethan’s character. And the twist with him and Abby – WOW!!! This captivating small-town mystery is an absolute must read! Thank you to DS Promotions for gifting me this thrilling new novel in exchange for an honest review.

Arriving in town to visit her sister from NYC, Abby found herself talking to the police who had been called for a noise complaint...her Uber driver's car backfired on leaving...which was the first in a series of unfortunate events for Abby in the small town of Hope Ridge PA. She came to visit to decompress from her stressful job as PA for publishing company and breaking up with her abusive boyfriend. Everything was supposed to be quiet and peaceful at the new home built by her sister and husband, except for the Cujo small dog owned by the viper next door, a weird guy she meets in the park, with bright spots of a beautiful soulful senior foster-care dog that she will take care of for duration of their European vacation, and a chance to meet one of her favorite authors who lived nearby and oh-yeah the almost divorced cute veterinarian she meets...but you will need to read this interesting who-done-it to see what happens...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.
When Abby flees New York for the summer, she ends up staying at her sisters house while her sister and brother-in-law are away. Even though Hope Ridge is a small town, Abby definitely doesn’t get the welcoming feeling at first. She has a run in at the park with another dog and it’s owner, another neighbor threatens Brownie over his chickens, and then there’s a murder- or two! One good thing is her meeting Ethan, the town’s hot vet doctor. They start spending time together, but she’s hesitant- he’s going through a divorce and she’s recovering from a bad breakup. But when her and Ethan start getting closer, he suddenly steps back. There’s something that connects him and Abby that neither realized! Something that’s going to make your jaw drop when everything unravels. This was good mystery book, with twists you definitely don’t see coming- and the ending will literally shock you!
In this, the third and last installment of this series, we are introduced to new characters and reacquainted with some old…and the mix does not disappoint.
The author has twists and turns that will cause your head to spin!
3rd book in this series will keep you wanting more. It's a page turner for sure. If you like suspense, this book is for you. Some people are too comfortable , some not. Always watch your back, you never know what might happen. Boooo bahahaha
This author absolutely outdid herself in this series
Twists and turns galore!!!! None bigger than that ending though. Seriously! WTF???? I'm going to need a fourth book... which, truthfully, is definitely not a hardship; I love Hope Ridge and most of its inhabitants!
Abby comes to Hope Ridge for rest and relaxation but gets the opposite. After all is said and done, she's finally feeling settled. A figurative bomb is dropped, making me anxious for the next book!
I received this book direct from the author in exchange for an honest review!
Killer Revenge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have nothing but all the feels in the world after reading this. I didn't know what to expect at first glance because my genre is typically romance, but WOWZER. This book had a bit of everything.
From the moment you meet Abby, who desperately wanted to come to take a break in Hope Ridge, to listening to interactions with her and other characters like Ethan 😍 (no spoilers!), to adopting Brownie the dog...You can't help but sit on the edge of your seat wanting more...I finished this pretty quickly and with good reason...I can't wait to read the others!
If you are interested in this book, or any of her others, you can get them on Amazon, or Kindle Unlimited. You will NOT be disappointed!
Wow! Just when I thought this couldn't get an crazier I got to the end and another bomb dropped. Abby did not get a great welcome to Hope Ridge, I'm not sure if I would say it worse than Caroline's but it definitely wasn't good. There was a character that I was weary of but that's because I don't trust anyone. I'm hoping there will be another book coming soon.
Rosemary Willhide is a new author to me and this story was absolutely amazing. The characters were incredible and Brownie stole my heart. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages so quickly that I couldn't put this one down. The ending was just ...WOW!!! I can't wait to read more by this author and hopefully more of this series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Holy Sh*t you have done it again!! 👏 This book is number 3 in the Hope Ridge Series. This time we are following the sister of the new owners of the Hamilton property. The twists in this book just kept coming page after page!! I wasn't just on the edge of my seat, I was damn near falling off from all the sharp turns!! Next up is book 4, It's Always the Husband😍🩷
I'm speechless right now (and if you knew me in real life that never happens). Rosemary literally had me screaming at the end of this book with the way it ended. One of Rosemary's greatest talents is making you think you're finally done with all the twists and turns then BAM, blindsided. And I'm not even mad about it. I love when an author can do that. This is the kind of book that I will be thinking about for days to come.
When Abby Bradshaw heads to Hope Ridge to stay at her sister Amy's house, not only is she housesitting and babysitting Brownie, Amy and Jeremy's senior foster dog, she's come to escape. But her first day in Hope Ridge has her meeting the local police and the batshit crazy neighbor Diane. From there, things only seem to get worse for Abby. She has some encounters with a few other people, none of which go well. She's really starting to reconsider even coming to Hope Ridge, but then she meets Vanessa, Caroline, and Ethan. But just when she thinks maybe it's not so bad here, she is now the main suspect in a double murder that took place across the street from her sister's house. Abby literally cannot catch a break. I'm not going to go into details because you really just need to read and experience this masterpiece for yourself. I will say that I loved how strong Abby was. She kept taking hits, but she took them and came back stronger. I will always love Vanessa and Caroline, along with the rest of the gang. And we get to meet Ethan. He's a breath of fresh air and I really enjoyed him. I can't wait to see what Rosemary has in store for her readers in the future. I absolutely can't stress enough how much you should check this series out. I've fallen in love with the Hope Ridge Mystery series, and I want you all to experience them as well.
Also, if you read all the way to the very end, my heart melted, and I had tears in my eyes when I read about Brownie.
**Borrowed from Becky** I would rate this book a 3.75 and would consider reading again/the others in this series.
This was a very enjoyable, quick paced, small town, murder mystery. I liked how quickly the chapters flowed and the author's way of moving the story along, where you felt like you were along for the ride, moving slowly but also having a lot happen at the same time. I enjoyed the characters, even if we only got to know some on a base level. LOVED the incorporation of Brownie and how important she became not only to the main character, but also to the story's readers. Did enjoy the small town feel and of course how important a roll books played for our characters. I was glad our main character, Abby, was innocent in all this and that I never once doubted her. I feel like a lot of thriller/murder mystery books always try to get readers to be on the fence about the main character, but for this one, I was on her side the whole time and couldn't wait for this girl to finally catch a break and have a moment to breath. It had a lot of nice twists, and it wasn't until about halfway that I started coming up with some theories and suspects. The only slightly negative thing for me was the last page's ending. I was happy with the wrapped-up conclusion and felt like we ended on a high note, only for the sister, Amy, to now have been even more involved than she kind of already was to begin with?? Not sure if I liked that cliffhanger, especially if nothing ever comes from it. In my head, it's water under the bridge and everybody just moves on! Overall, did enjoy this simple and easy read! Has a good small town life story mixed in with the murder/mystery aspect.

Oh, my goodness! What did I just read? This book has left me in shock and speechless. What a way to end a trilogy. There are so many twists and turns in this book, and my jaw dropped because I did not see that ending coming, at all. And I just loved it!
Abby Bradshaw goes to Hope Ridge to stay at her sister Amy's house to housesit and watch her adorable foster dog Brownie while her sister and her sister's husband go away. Abby needs to get away herself and she's hoping that the small town will be the just the place for her to take a break from everything in NYC and reset.
The moment she arrives in Hope Ridge, there's nothing but problems and disturbing encounters with unfriendly neighbors, animal control, the police and just plain craziness. However, she meets Vanessa and Caroline and the three become fast friends. Abby also bonds with Brownie the foster dog and Abby realizes that she needs rescued just as much as Brownie does.
This story is an intricate mystery that's full of suspense and red herrings. You just never know what to expect next and how it's going to be resolved or if it will be resolved. Who can you trust or believe in Hope Ridge? Because honestly, I still don't know.
If you love mysteries with crazy plot twists that will blow you away, then I highly recommend picking up this entire series. Each book gets better and better and more and more mysterious. The small town of Hope Ridge seems like the perfect place to live, but it's actually the perfect place for deception and murder.
Whaaaaat? I didn’t see some of that coming. I could tell there were going to be things tied together, because, duh. Otherwise it wouldn’t be in the book. But there’s some stuff that blew me away. The only way to know for yourself is to read it. You can read this on its own, but it is definitely better after reading the other two books to get to know some of the other characters. And Brownie is such an adorable dog. I love good stories with dogs in them. So she’s a bonus and just as much of a main character as the people are. I honestly want more of these stories, or maybe at least like them? Possible? Maybe? Please?
😲 That's the current look on my face right now!! Completely and utterly shocked!
I've loved this series from the very beginning but Killer Revenge is definitely my favorite. The excitement level was insane right from the beginning and only intensified as the story progressed.
Just when I thought I knew what was going on, some new twist would be tossed in that turned everything upside-down.
And that ending 😯 I most definitely didn't see that coming but it was perfect! I need more!!
Wow wow great book with Rosemary Willhide you never know what's going to happen but this book it was a changer all the twist and the betrayal,it's a great book if you haven't read this series please grab it now because you will not see what's coming it will leave in shock 😲 amazing book you did it again Rosemary Willhide amazing book can wait to read some more books. Abby comes to visit her sister in Hope Ridge to escape her busy life by staying in a small, quiet town. As soon as she arrives, the police show up at her door and she has encounters with the neighbors. The last thing she expected was to be a suspect in a double homicide I was on the edge of my seat with suspense. I loved the unexpected twists. Rosemary Willhide's book was well-written. The characters were well-developed. It is a must read! Thank you for allowing me to read your book.
Aaaagghhh! “Killer Revenge” by Rosemary Willhide, the third book in the Hope Ridge Mystery series, was intense from start to finish. This story had me holding my breath more than once! Just when I thought I had everything figured out—bam!—another twist hit. The pacing is fast, the suspense is nonstop, and the tension never lets up. Rosemary Willhide knows exactly how to keep readers guessing. I’ve truly loved every book in this series, and this one was a thrilling way to continue the ride.
