Selected Installations: 1996-1997: LG Williams

Rate this book
It is with great pleasure and pride that we present this exhibition of work by LG Williams. LG has long held a confirmed, if somewhat unusual position in the contemporary art world. His work is perhaps better known in New York and and Los Angeles, rather than in his native San Francisco Bay Area. During this time his word-drawings have been closely watched and admired by collectors and peers, but little has been publicly seen of his picture-writings or public art projects, which by the way are beginning to generate an enthusiastic following of public, private and corporate patrons.

“Marvelous . . . Everything we want in art--except, for it never to be over.” ―The New York Times Book Review

“Looms as a model for what ambitious art making can still say about modern life . . .” ―San Francisco Chronicle

“The art we've been waiting for...” ―Esquire

“Frighteningly, luminously authentic.” ―The Boston Globe
