I finished this book way before it was due, then I forgot when it was due to post it. I apologize that it is so late getting posted. This is another good series which I didn’t think it was going to be when I first started. I don’t know how she comes up with all of these complicated situations between Kenna, Joyce & Ellie. I still can’t figure out how Kenna came to be adopted by Joyce’s unless they said & I forgot. Joyce was just existing each a miserable life until Kenna came & found her & guilted her into coming back with her & helping her out. She was reluctant to go & help Kenna, so Kenna made her feel guilty. She didn’t believe the story Kenna was telling her because as far as she knew the only family she had was her mom & dad & they were killed when she was 18. I don’t know why she fell for that story when she didn’t even know they existed. But she was glad she went & found out she really did have family & that they were closer family than she ever in her wildest dreams thought they would be. Joyce may even found a new love interest, the school teacher that was a friend of Ellie’s. He even took her back to her place to find some picture & things that she thought might help with Ellie’s memory. While there she run into poor hopeless Sammy, still same ole drunk! He had gotten her car fixed, but had gotten the money from his mom. On her way out of town she left a blank check in the mailbox for his mom, but I bet he gets it & writes it out for a lot of money. He’s done stuff like that before. He’s always bumming off of someone. When they get back Ellie has remembered a lot more. They take a trip to the farm where Macey went to have her baby (or they think she had a baby before she was married) & they found out a lot. They found out what they wanted to know. Will they finally have the answers they want? Will they finally figure out their complicated lives? What’s going to happen with Joyce & David. Will Joyce go back to her job or will she decide to stay in Eden to be with David & her new family?

I got this ARC book for free & I am giving my review for free in my own words. Can’t wait to see if I am right on any of my suspicions.

Ellie’s starting to get her memory back. There are sill missing pieces, but she’s starting to put the pieces together with the help of Joyce and McKenna. They’ve been going through all the boxes at the house. What if there’s memories at Joyce’s house?

Joyce get’s David to take her back home to Salt Lake to go through her mother’s boxes. There are much more in these boxes than she realized. Taking back just a bit that Joyce feels matters for Ellie, hoping it’s enough to stir Ellie’s memories. David and Joyce swing by a pizza joint in town before heading back to Eden.

Ellie seems to vaguely remember some of the people in a particular photo then gets an idea to visit the farm it’s taken at. McKenna and Joyce are quickly on the internet looking up the farm and any information they can gather about the place. Reluctantly, McKenna is sent to school while Joyce and Ellie take the trip to visit the farm where they enjoy a delicious meal and then are able to start a tour, but are quickly interrupted by the new owner’s daughter who says something about meeting with the original owners, who happen to live there.

After what seemed like an interrogation about Ellie and Joyce’s family, the original owners explain what happened with their parents and grand parents. I love where this story has gone and how it got to where it is. It’s definitely an adventure! I give this book 5 out of 5 tiaras and look forward to Book 6!

Joyce & Ellie have talked for hours. They are pretty sure they are both Macey's daughters, but Ellie's memory still isn't back and they can't seem to find anything concrete to prove it.
Ellie sends Joyce & David back to Salt Lake to go through all of Macey's old papers that Joyce had kept.
David finds a picture of Ellie, Macey and a Farmer couple taken at an old Farm in Idaho, not far from the Utah border.

So Ellie & Joyce are off on an adventure to Idaho. What will they find?

More information is revealed. Joyce and David return to Joyce’s house looking for the tens than might spark a memory for Ellie. While she is in town, Joyce happens to see Sammy. She finalized her decision, that there is no future for her and Sammy. Returning to Ellie’s house, the pair combs through stacks of items from the past. A picture sparks something in Ellie. The duo sets out on a road trip hoping for answers.

Really good

Lost memories, confusion, heartbreak and more are what Ellie & Joyce must face in this story. Can they get past it all & finally heal? I look forward to seeing how it all wraps up in the final book.
