I tried

I wanted to finish this book to see what happened and why. But, the writing style kept throwing the story off. Syntax was not good. 'I seen' was repeated too many times to be an error. Writing the way one speaks can be ineffective in written materials, much the same as regional slang. The idea for the story was good; I wish the storyline had translated better in written form.
