Probably more 3.5 stars. I've read up to chapter 63.
Season 2 starts with Ibelina and Alejandro separated for 3 years. It reminded me a little of the latter half of Kaoru Mori's Emma. Ibelina handles the separation pretty well and figures that Alejandro has forgotten about her. Meanwhile, Liliana (the androgynous-looking female knight) has been sending reports to Alejandro, who has a secret plan in place to bring Ibelina back to his side. Unfortunately, Ibelina seems to have caught the eye of Diego, the Crown Prince and hero of the original book.
I like Liliana and hope we'll be seeing more of her. Lorenzo is indeed back, but having him, Alejandro, and Ibelina in the same room again wasn't quite as explosive an event as I was expecting. Although Alejandro still has puppy dog-eyed childish moments, apparently he's grown up enough not to kick Lorenzo out just because he and Ibelina had a pleasant conversation together. But if rumors start going around about Lorenzo and Ibelina, that could change.
I know this story has to keep referencing the original novel, but I honestly wish that the entire Diego storyline could be left behind. I'd really rather not see Diego and Alejandro fighting over Ibelina like dogs over a bone. It'd be even more pointless than the attempted love triangle between Ibelina, Alejandro, and Lorenzo - Ibelina doesn't even vaguely like Diego.
And I'm still wondering what happened to the book's original heroine, and what her new role will be in the story. Surely she'll show up again soon.
I definitely plan on continuing this, although I'm a little doubtful that the author has the later parts of the story as well planned out as Season 1 seemed to be. I suppose I'll find out.
Amazing book! Alejandro and Ibelina’s story is awesome, hopefully she finally has the courage to tell him her true feelings for him. 👍🏽👍🏽 Am I gonna have to wait another year for the next book tho 😕😕 can’t wait!!
I honestly do not know what to say. My friend and I have read 75 chapters of this series. We have caught up to the English publication. This season follows after a 3-year timeskip in which Alejandro is now 19 years old, things are changing and becoming more serious as the crown starts to show interest in the curse that was cured from Alejandro. But this is at a snail's pace - nothing is happening on either the romantic or plot front.
Until we finally hit chapter 70...
At that point all my desire to keep reading completely DIED. Like I did every time Evelina commented on how much Alejandro had grown up since his childhood. Ok, groomer.

An update: Today my friend and I finished chapter 86, the season 2 finale. We will probably not be continuing with this series. The character interactions are nonsensical and repetitive, Evelina is not very smart - if a reader can spot and predict something (even with barely any information) and the characters cannot, they have issues.
The rest of the season follows Dick-ego and Evelina as they experience sometimes tense, sometimes nonsensically kind interactions as Evelina is forced into house-arrest at the palace. Despite constant reassurances that Evelina loves Alejandro, Eleanora's rampant jealousy makes her into a paranoid and volatile character whose sole existence hinges on the crown prince's love for her, which is entirely nonexistant as he admits he has feelings for Evelina. Despite her better judgment, Evelina fails to shut down these advances every time and must hold on until Alejandro returns from the front line managing the border conflict with Ambrosetti.
I found this extremely frustrating with fewer and fewer cute scenes that kept me going throug hthe series. I hated Eleanora, Evelina AND Dick-ego, and at times I asked my friend to just skip past the text due to how boring and tiring it was. I am so glad it's over.
There were only 2 kiss scenes in 86 chapters.
We did like the dress designs and the water that the artist created in the lake scene.
It was so boring honestly I read it because it was animated. Liandro is honestly the epitome of tortured poet society and Ibelina is so cheerful it feels forced. And her existence in the manhwa just had an alternate ending and not a better ending. The war was stretched and boring, everyone was acting dumb.
Apa tujuan penulis memasukkan cinta segitiga?
I really like the Prince and Ibelina’s relationship. The dichotomy between his peaked interest and her instant rejection is hilarious. The princess going dark side is a fun twist.
I love how often Ibelina can’t help but note the Prince’s beauty while also hating on him.
Overall series is not well paced, but the art is nice. I enjoy seeing all the intricate outfits the characters wear, which is a stark difference from the drab pajamas and static maid uniforms season 1 comprised of.
After three years of seperation, Ibelina has finally met her Duke again.
I REALLY loved this. It's been a while since I haven't read this. And when I did, I couldn't stop reading.
It was fun and romantic. It really excited me when our Ibelina has been noticed by the Crown Prince. Soon she realizes she has changed the plot entirely. She has no idea how to turn things back like it supposes to.
It dragged a little bit but overall I have spent hours reading it in one sitting. I'm really excited about the next season!
