Picked this small book up to read as an introduction to stories from Russia. The book was a retelling in simple English for students, and hence a lower rating than what I could have given. The five short tales were really good. Will read more in the near future.

The stories in this book are Russian. I don't think I have read Russian stories before. It was interesting.
