Rose Mary (Gard) Clarke, a Hoosier her entire life, shares her true-life stories about the human experience involving friendships, family, and relationships with other people which many of us can relate to. She was passionate about life and especially about books, good authors, and poets which, as a true booklover, permeated her life and writing.
Rose Mary grew up in Knightstown, Indiana and as an adult lived in Historic Irvington, Indianapolis. She was a Writer, French Teacher, proud Homemaker, Volunteer and Realtor. She traveled all over the United States and Europe soaking up her environment and meeting all types of people which often found their way into her weekly Knightstown and Indianapolis columns, some of which are featured in this book. To quote Rose Mary's thoughts about her self-published
“I saw how often I quoted passages from Henry David Thoreau’s Walden as well as other great authors. Thoreau’s reflections on life are as timely today as when he wrote them. I see what has been important to me as I’ve traveled through the seasons of my life. I have lived for reading and writing, nature, love and marriage, friends, and family, encounters with unusual people, and travel. All these experiences have been seasoned with good food, drink, beautiful music, art, and theater.”
