Peter writes to remind his readers that although they are exiles on this earth, they can look forward with great joy to the glorious return of Christ, when they will finally and fully receive their imperishable inheritance. He encourages them to fix their eyes on Jesus and the promise of etermity so that they remain steadfast amid the various trials and sorrows they are facing. In Christ, they have been born again to a living hope. Sweet mama, this gospel hope is also available for you. As you navigate life after loss, you too can find joy as you look ahead to Christ's return and your future with Him. My prayer is that through this study you will find the strength to stand firm in the Lord through your grief and pain.
