Professional baseball player Dan Pelameno struck out with the woman of his dreams. So when she calls to set up an exclusive television interview with him, he jumps at the chance to set things right. He let her slip away once, but he won't make the same mistake.
Celebrity news reporter Kendra Star thought she had moved on from Dan Pelameno until she had to see him again for a work assignment. When the encounter lands him a gig at her job, she promises to keep her distance from him and his charming ways. But the more she has to work with him, the harder he is to resist.
I loved the sports romance vibe. Even better than it was told from both perspectives. It was a cute book just seemed a bit lackluster for me. I wouldn't read again. I enjoyed the main characters I think it was the writing style that I couldn't completely get with.
I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publishers to read and review. All of the statements above are my true opinions after fully reading this book.
It was a cute story but I personally didn’t connect with any of the characters and felt more and more annoyed by Kendra. My favorite person was probably Dan‘s mum tbh.
I wanted to love this one so much but I didn’t. It was fine but I wouldn’t recommend.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Love report was like a warm blanket and movie after a long day. It was a quick, cute and fun read that hits the spot.
Kendra Star truly was the star and I completely fell in love with her. She felt so well fleshed out and something about the character just clicked for me, I could see her so clearly and really looked forward to her POVs. Dan was cute, but she really stole the show for me.
The writing suited the story, which I enjoyed. It kept me hooked and wanting to continue whenever I put it down, which is always a great sign.
Some of the inner monologue could have easily just been part of the usual narrative, since it's in first person and I did have some issues with the pacing. For most of the book it was alright but sometimes it would strike me as choppy and towards the end especially it felt a bit in a hurry to wrap up. I would've loved to see more of KD (I have to say that dandruff is a delightful ship name).
Overall, super cute book and I'll probably be thinking about Kendra for days.
I enjoyed the main characters and their development a lot. I wish I had read the first book in the series because there are a few more references than is typical in a romance series. I liked the concept, but the plot seemed to stall at times. I’ll be interested to see what this author does next. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. 3.5 stars
It wasn't a bad book. The romance between the main characters was cute and enjoyable. I liked the characters themselves well enough. Initially, I was going to give this 3 full stars. The plot was cute and the characters were...decently written. I liked it.
However, this book needs some serious, grammatical revisions. It was a bit of mess in that regard, which was unfortunate. The grammatical errors made me want to almost stop reading and are part of the reason why it took me so long to finish it. It's not a long read, but getting through those errors was a trial. I think, once those edits are made, this will be a better book, worthy of a full 3 star rating.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. (REPOSTED FROM PREVIOUS ACCT)
This is like reading the love story of a close friend. It seems like it could actually happen. No implausible storyline. It was nice to read their reconciliation process and see how trauma in their lives, especially the hero's, influenced their actions. Warning: this is a clean romance.
I enjoyed Love Report. It was fun weekend read. This is my first time reading Shelled Marie. It will not be my last. I'm ordering the first book in the series now.

It was a quick and fun rom com. The plot, the Dual pov and the characters were so interesting. I loved Kendra and her dynamic. I found Dan really cute and he was trying so hard for her forgiveness. The story was a bit slow burn and really rushed at the ending. I wanted to read more about them together. They had a good chemistry on and off camera. I enjoyed the story and certainly I want to read the author 's next works.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for leaving my honest review.
I typically love a sports romance, which is another one to add to the shelf. I thought that the plot was great it got us out of the ballpark and put the sports star in someone else ballpark.
Dan has just ended a relationship in which he wasn't truly in love. The only thing he has is regret and mainly for the girl that got away.
Kendra has had a hard time lately - she is at a job she was fired from and doesn't feel appreciated, The man she was falling for ghosted her after she told him her feelings.
Dan decided to take a guest role at Kendra's works although she has made it clear she doesn't want anything to do with him after the rejection. What I loved about this book:
This story was a super cute love story. I loved that Dan wanted to be with Kendra and was willing to work it out with her no matter what it took. This added some great tension to the dynamics. I loved that the family issue that Dan was having was semi-resolved and the resolution was realistic to and what I would expect from a real person
What needed improvement - the pace was a little off and the middle had some lacklustre moments
In this sports romance, we meet Kendra Star who is a strong female reporter just returning to CEN as celebrity reporter. Her first assignment is an apology tour. The first interview of this tour is with professional baseball player Dan Pelameno, aka her secret ex. To repair his relationship with Kendra, Dan agrees to become CEN’s new temporary sports reporter before the season starts. Working together and sitting next to one another at the reporting desk, brings them closer slowly but surely.
It is a sweet double POV romcom with great banter between the main characters. While they have a past together, I would have liked to get to know more details. Where I liked to idea of the story, I did have some issues with the pacing resulting in slight bumps in the road for fluent reading. I found the ending was rushed. Personally I would have like to read more on KD together.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read a free advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
'Love Report by Shellee Marie is a sweet story about a celebrity news reporter named Kendra. Kendra is just returning to her job because she had been brought back after she was let go. Kendra is surprised to find out that her boss wants her to interview her ex, who is a professional baseball player named Dan. When Kendra sees Dan, she starts to think about her past with him, and they both have regrets about how their relationship ended. Dan gets hired by the network to do sports reports before baseball season starts up again. As Dan and Kendra work together, will sparks fly?
This book was a sweet story about two people who try to find their way back to each other. I liked that the story had a dual point of view because I was able to see things from Dan and Kendra's perspective. Overall, this was an interesting story and concept.
Thanks to NetGalley and XPresso Book Tours for an ARC of this book.
This book was a quick, fun read. I loved the characters especially Kendra, who was really well rounded. Although she came across as a very strong person, her fears were evident and they really manifested on the page in how she interacted with the other characters in the story. Considering their history, her guard was up when Dan came back into her life; she did not want to give that man an inch! It was really entertaining to see how Dan slowly chipped away at her resolve and wormed his way back into her life.
I liked the writing style but the pacing seemed off in sections of the book and the end felt a little rushed. Overall, the tension/conflict was minor; this was a light, second chance romance with a number of laugh out loud moments. I read it in one sitting so kudos to the author for keep the story engaging.
Thank you to BookSirens and the author for this free ARC. This review is my own.
This is my first time reading any books by Shellee Marie. I am a lover of baseball so when I read the synopsis I requested to read it. This is a great romantic comedy that I enjoyed reading. Dan Pelameno is a professional baseball player. Kendra is a celebrity news reporter. Dan and Kendra were once in a relationship and the two went their separate ways. As for Dan Kendra is the one that got away. The two meet up again when Kendra is all set to get an exclusive interview from Dan. Dan is all to happy to grant Kendra an exclusive interview in the hopes of rekindling what the two once shared. Kendra is doing her best to keep her feelings at bay for Dan but they are right there front and center.
This is a cute read. I would have loved more insight into what happened between Kendra and Dan; other than I enjoyed reading about Kendra and Dan navigating their way back to each other.

** Thank you to Netgalley for sending me this ARC **
This isn't my first time reading from Shellee Marie, I really enjoyed the last book she wrote. And, I really did liked the idea with this book! The sports romance was soo cute. I also really liked the characters which made this book easy to enjoy. This book was super sweet and cute! My biggest issue with this book was its pacing. While it is a slow burn I think it took too long for them to get together making the end very very rushed. Adding the inevitable conflict at the end, we barely got to see much of their relationship. I think this book was definitely good but could’ve been executed better. But overall, I really did enjoy reading this book and I definitely recommend this book and this author as well. 4.5 stars
4.25/5 This book has sports, banter, chemistry, and humor. The history of these two main characters was realistic and yet entertaining. I found that the story was well-paced and had lots of laughing moments.
These two are stuck with some on screen moments as Kendra is a celebrity news reporter and Dan is introduced as a guest on the show.
The characters: Kendra- a career driven main character who recently got rehired at her job and is still finding her flow Dan- a pro baseball player that picks up a side gig in the offseason
"Did you really ask your ex about sex on camera?"
"I'm not sure you care, but I'm upset because the dick that broke my heart is having a mini parade in his honor out in the hallway."

Great character development and chemistry in this second chance romance
Kendra & Dan had great chemistry and the author did a good job with their character development.
While I understood Kendra’s reluctance and hesitance to engage/interact with Dan, she acted like an immature brat once he was part of her work environment; and he came to her rescue on more than one occasion with a lukewarm show of gratitude from Kendra. But there is a hard fought for happy ending, and some of Dans family troubles are on a healing path.

Once I started reading I could not stop, a well written and fast paced slow burn office/sports romance. More office less sport. Characters are well developed, in the first couple chapters I knew what Kendra & Dan were about. Very nice read. The ending felt a little bit cut short. Did I skip the part that mention how long they were apart?

I received an ARC copy of Love Report from NetGalley.
Overall it was a really good book. I loved the story and the charatcers.
I gave it 3 stars because there were so many issues with the writing. I think this book definitely needs to be edited more before publishing. If I was not so invested in the story, I would have quit reading because the issues were too much to handle.
I wanted to love this book as celebrity romances are some of my favorite novels. However, the writing was extremely chaotic and needs a lot of editing in my opinion. I liked the dual point of view, but overall, the plot was a little flat. This also contained very minimal spice.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Really liked the couple their banter chemistry and plot but it was wayyyy too slow for my last especially being such a short book! I also wish we got full flashback chapters to when they were together in past. Hate how quick ending was wtf we didn't even get to have any time of them actually together I can't stand when books do that it's my biggest pet peeve.
Kendra is a celebrity reporter and her task is to interview Celebrity baseball player Dan but he is also a ex that hurt her. Dan see this as his chance to redeem himself and get that second chance. This was a short read and I liked some parts but it was a slow start. Overall not a bad read.
Being exes is not easy especially when one half does not want anything to do with the other half. And to make matters worse they have to work together. Can Kendra save her job and can Dan finally let go? A good read.
A well written and intresting plotline. The characters were intresting to read and the romance the love drama between the characters were good too. Ireceived an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It isn't something I'd be into, however, I did enjoy Dan's character and how he realized his mistakes and well how hell-bent he was. Kendra could have been a strong character but she seemed extremely wounded. And lastly, I didn't feel any connection or chemistry between the two.
