Guiding Light: The Soul Who Could, Cycle A

Rate this book
Homilies by Fr. Joe Robinson. It begins with Jesus feeding a crowd of 5000 people with five barley loaves and two fish . None of the gospel stories tell us how he did it, but it must have been spectacular because it's the only miracle (other than the resurrection of Jesus himself) that all four gospels tell us about. The people were so impressed that they wanted to make Jesus their king. They didn't understand that he was already a king but his kingdom was not of this world . He tried to explain that he didn't come to feed them to feed them free meals, but to feed them with a food that will bring them eternal life. I am the bread that comes down from heaven, that a person eat it and never die. (Jn 6:50) - page 102
