I had the honor of learning from this textbook with the author himself, and it has taught me a lot. I absolutely loved the format and the lessons taught through this textbook. I can see myself rereading and using the lessons from this textbook when I someday own and operate a bookstore, as that is my dream.

Some of the best things I learned from this textbook were:
•employees must be motivated AND engaged; one doesn’t necessarily include the other.
•you can’t merely incentivize your employees - you need to build a relationship based on trust and ease of communication to motivate and engage them. Only then will you get the best results.
•and much more!

If you’re looking for a new textbook for your management class, I would recommend this one time and again! It’s shorter than other textbooks I’ve seen but contains everything you would need for a management class.
