This book started as a set of shorts in my newsletters to my team and they begged for more! It is NOT the Shrek retelling but instead is an introduction to some of the characters and a book that's just for fun and entertainment. True Love's 4th Kiss is the book loosely based on Shrek. Please just enjoy this book for what it is, short and spicy stories that are chaotic fun!

To say I’m obsessed with Swamp Tales is… it has easily become a comfort read for me.

This collection of short stories bring us the beloved characters from Shrek in a whole new unique way that you didn’t know you needed. Introducing us to the characters that will be in Kenzies Novel;

These characters that Kenzie brought to life absolutely tickle me . I love each of them for their quirks. Some of them are just NAUGHTY 😈 🤣. This was such a fun book to read

Get to know the Shrek Characters in a whole new light! Fun, sexy, quirky take in Shrek is everything you didn't know you needed!!!! Kenzie paints them all in a new light, and I am totally here for it!

If you like retellings then please give this one a try! This collection of short stories is a great way to get ready for true loves 4th kiss that will be coming soon as well! You get to t the characters before you read about there journey!

I loved that it wasn't just the Shrek as we know and love him but put him in sort of a Shrek the Fourth/ Badass Shrek vibes making him a bounty hunter going along collecting everyone of his band of merry men if you will. Let's see how many Shrek puns I can get in here. The spice was really good and different because all the characters names were different so it didn't make it weird but gave them their own identities. I've got to say Dashiel was my absolute favorite, his one liners and over all horniness had me cracking up the entire time. The shorts all go into each other so it is a continuation of sorts of what you just read. The camaraderie between everyone was great and I can't wait to read more! I highly suggest reading if it sounds up to your speed I can understand that others don't have the same obsession with Shrek that I do but I think it's a great read!

The idea of this story is brilliant, it just didn’t deliver for me.

It didn’t include very much “shrek” or “Fiona” but they might be in the second book that I don’t plan on reading. Main characters were “donkey”, “Pinocchio” and “gingerbread man”. Not using their book names just so shrek fans going in know what I’m talking about.

The editing was not good, there were a handful of errors I didn’t even bother to highlight and some sentences that simply didn’t make sense.

Swamp tales is a twisted fairytale (shrek) retelling with spicy short stories which made for for such a fun and entertaining read! This was definitely more spice to plot scenarios but all were such a great time full of fun, quirky & naughty character adventures😏. I loved it! It was so diverse & different with ALLLL the spicy stuff you can think of, so definitely read TW the author list before diving into each short. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fast paced read that’s spicy yet entertaining with dark humor & fun characters. This set us up for some character introductions to the novel that’s releasing later this year, True Loves 4th Kiss. I can’t wait!💚

Wow, I was not expecting everything that I just read when I went into this book. You get 10 short stories all centered around Far Far Away. Don’t let the short stories fool you, they are all action packed. And it get naughty. From ogres, to donkeys, gingerbread men, marionettes, pixies, Snow White and her men, Robin Hood plus so many others. I loved all the content warnings and tags at the beginning of every story. They will surely make you laugh. I loved following Bane, Dash, Marion, Rusti, Rowena, Snow White and the others. Be prepared for glitter bombs, icing facials and glitter waffles!!! I can’t wait for True Loves 4th Kiss to come out. This was full of steam, humor, banter, laughs, magic, icing (you’ll understand once you read) and so much more. Can’t wait to read more from Kenzie.

I’m gonna be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this as an Arc reader but I figured I would give it a try. This book was definitely something different from what I would usually read, and probably not something I would look for when picking a book again. There were some minor errors here and there but the story itself was fairly entertaining, and the creativity needed to think a story like this up was definitely impressive. The quality of writing was great, and the scenes were very descriptive so it was very easy to get transported into the book and see it like a movie! Unfortunately, I just don’t believe this book was my style but the book itself is fairly well done.

An Ogre, a donkey shifter, a puppet shifter, a gingerbread shifter and a cross dressing wolf walk into a swamp...

A dark twisted reimagining short story series. Shrek lovers unite. These tales will have you bent over (laughing) and so much more. Popping pixies, glitter waffles, wooden dongs, icing fluids... you name it, this book has it. Hilarious, spicy, hot and weird. Just the way I like it. I had so much fun reading this. You will see references to a few other characters as well, won't spoilt it but you gotta read this if you loved Shrek and thought, "what if they all fucked each other instead?" Oh and in the morning... I'm making glitter waffles.

I can never watch Shrek without thinking of this book and it’s definitely not a problem!

This is a collection of short stories that definitely bring the spice! Bane is an ogre shifter who is doing what he can to protect other shifters and fairytale creatures who work or enjoy the club he owns. He ends up with quite the crew working under him with Dash(a donkey shifter), Marion( a marionette shifter), and Rusti(a gingerbread shifter). These stories help gear you up for Forth loves kiss and I can’t wait to see what antics this crew gets up to in that book!

Oh my goodness! This is basically a fairytale fun fest with all your fave characters with a twist. Hilarious and heckers! Such a spicy, fun read. Great intro to characters and world building for the upcoming full length feature of Bane and his crew of miscreants. Great combo of sincerity and spice. There is definitely some interesting moments in this collection of stories that left my jaw on the floor haha! Super creative and wild time!

I honestly don't know what I was getting into when I opened this set of short stories but man am I obsessed now. From start to finish I was giggling, blushing and wanting more. Bane is hawt, Dashiel and his waffles are the absolute best, and with Rusti well let's just say I will never think of icing the same way again! Shrek is one of my favorites and Miss Nichols did not disappoint when it came to this retelling.

This set of shorts was adorable and depraved and I’m here for it.

You get to see whole new sides of your fave characters from shrek and it’s glorious.

From the annoying donkey that has a special attachment to pumpkins and waffles, to the wooden puppet nympho, to the former…accountant gingerbread man, to the ogre that refuses to shift.

Every character you meet is fantastic. Each short story is fast paced and filthy.

I went into this book blindly and omg what a surprise! This is Shrek in a new form, loved the reimagining and all the adult humor in all of the short stories. The content warning pages before each short short collection had me cracking up. Really enjoyed this collection. Definitely for 18+ who has a sense of humor and aren't easily triggered, Definitely spicy and will make you look at all the characters from Shrek differently.

Who knew we would ever see a retelling of Shrek?? Or even better...we fall in love with it!! Because Kenzie did when she created this AMAZING novel full of stories. Shrek, Donkey, Pinocchio, The Gingerbread Man, Fiona, even Lord Farquaad and plenty more make appearances! Not only that, their characteristics relates closely to the originals, like donkey's humor and follower nature to Shrek's demanding nature but need to protect.

Kenzie brings on all sorts of spice throughout the novel that just had me devouring this book. Even at work...no shame!! Even though this book is full of short stories, it flows beautifully from one story to the next. We get to see each characters origin story and their feelings behind it with oh so much more. I personally love Dash and his overly excitement for waffles lol. But I will also never look at icing, waffles and glitter the same way again...IYKYK!
