Teaching for Results

Rate this book
In this revised edition Findley B. Edge explains that many Sunday school teachers fail to achieve better results because 'their teaching aims are too general and often vague.' The solution, he says, is for the teacher to focus on a single objective for each lesson and 'work toward that aim with singleness of purpose.'

This is intentional teaching

Great breakdown of the different focuses or aims that a teacher should have to maximize learning in a Christian environment.

Published in 1956, Edge's book is dated yet still relevant in many ways. His advise to teachers move beyond lecturing into more leaning by doing is spot on. Likewise, his encouragement not to simply teach "what" but also "how". Helped me remember better how to produce change in the individuals.
