When my family decides it’s time to sell me off to secure their own future, I tell them to get knotted. Unfortunately, running from them lands me out of the frying pan and into the fire when my scent is picked up by the most superior pack in England. Gorgeous doesn’t cover the alphas of the St. James pack and when they pick up my trail and abduct me, days before my first heat is due, things aren’t going to end well for me. I'm totally out of my depth. I’m tied in knots, and I don’t mean the fun kind. Do I have the courage to tell them to get knotted as well or am I fighting a losing battle?
This is a contemporary whychoose omegaverse standalone and has some content warnings. Please read the Preface. Please note this is set in England with British characters using British English.

This book rubbed me the wrong way in so many places. Nothing major, but in so many places things just didn't feel right, like they didn't quite fit.
It starts off with Faith having a quick f*ck with Matt in a club bathroom, and that was a jarring scene for me because Matt was a douchebag and barely even did anything to make sure she would orgasm. He seemed a selfish, self-centred prick. Immediately I did not want Faith to be part of his pack.
Well, he goes home and the four alphas scent her on him and they go crazy. They start searching for her. It turns out that he's their beta, but what I don't understand is he doesn't seem properly part of their pack. They don't seem to include him in any of their activities, even though he does live in the same house. He doesn't appear to have a sexual relationship with any of them, unlike Leo in Lola and the Millionaires who was a beta and was with Rake (the male omega) as well as Caleb and Cyrus (two of the pack alphas).
Anyway, so one day the guys bump into Faith and they immediately grab her. Literally. This freaks her out -- large strangers, alphas, crowding her, physically overwhelming her. She runs away, they give chase, they manhandle her, tie up her wrists and forcefully bring her back to their pack house, where they lock her into her room.
This was the second thing that rubbed me the wrong way. She's frightened and upset and they don't even try to talk to her, they lock her into her room by herself! They were rough with her and acted like thugs! She asks why they're abducting her and Sebastian, the leader of the pack, growls at her that she "f*cked the wrong man" (meaning their beta). What????
Then biology and instinct take over and Faith forgives them when she wakes up the next morning because she's drawn to them and their scents make her feel safe. Ugh. That was the third thing that rubbed me the wrong way... Betraying Body Syndrome, omegaverse-style.
One really BIG thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the issue of having children. Faith just turned 21, and she was abused by her stepdad and forced to stay at home instead of continuing her studies or getting a job. So it makes sense that she wouldn't want to have kids yet at this point in her life. But Sebastian wants kids with her IMMEDIATELY and he doesn't want to wait.
He put a lot of pressure on her, and she resisted initially. But then he backed off and when he backed off, she caved because she felt he was being caring by backing off and then she felt that she should reward him for being caring. I was really f*cking pissed. I know it's fiction, but having a child is a huge decision and I think Faith was being practical in her initial assessment that it was not the right time for her to have one yet. I didn't like that they had ONE CONVERSATION and then she immediately threw her birth control pills away! It made her seem like a weak character because she didn't stick to her guns and stand up for what was right for her.
The issue of trust pops up in the story, but is easily fixed by saying, "I love you." This rubbed me the wrong way, too. Actions speak louder than words, and although the alphas made sure Faith was comfortable and had the things she needed, they never really showed very much affection. No hugs or teasing touches, not even small things like holding hands while walking together or slipping his arm around her shoulders or waist to hold her close. I felt a distance between them and Faith, so the "I love you"s didn't ring true to me.
Plus, the "I love you"s came at a time when many issues were still unsettled and trust wasn't yet fully built between them and Faith. Most of the time that they were with Faith was spent in confrontation. At the beginning of the book, Faith says repeatedly that she hates confrontation and would go out of her way to avoid it, but she never does that with the guys. Again, saying something doesn't make it true. I didn't feel like I got a good grasp of her personality; she seemed spunky rather than shy and aggressive rather than compliant.
The dialogue was a bit stilted with minimal use of contractions. I would have wanted more banter, dry British humour or even sarcastic exchanges to see the alphas connecting with Faith. Truthfully, even among themselves, they don't seem to have much of a bond as Sebastian is constantly angry with the others for one thing or another, none of them appear to trust or even like Xander very much, and they all keep secrets from each other. This is the eighth thing that rubbed me wrongly (if you're keeping count). The pack felt fragmented, not unified. I did not get the sense that they had each other's back.
I also disliked that Faith had to apologise to Sebastian for f*cking one of the other guys before she f*cked him. Apparently because he's the "prime alpha", he has first right to her body and her vagina. Excuse me while I gag. He was angry with that other guy because that guy had been "disrespectful" in not respecting Sebastian's right to be first! Urgh. This, plus the birth control thing, really put me off Sebastian.
I read omegaverse, and in particular sweet omegaverse, for the protective and caring alphas. But Sebastian was neither protective nor caring. Sometimes he was begging Faith for her trust and love like a pathetic puppy dog. At other times he was being autocratic, stern, angry, or distant. Never once did I feel he truly cared about her. He spoke the truth when he said that her scent drove him crazy and he needed her. In other words, it was all about him. He was obsessed with finding her, he wanted to mate her, he wanted to breed her. He wanted her to stay in their pack house not because she would be safe from her stepdad there, but because it had taken so long to find her and he didn't want to let her leave. It was all about him.
In fact, that was the same for the other guys. Everything was all about them. In the chapters with their POV, their thoughts are all about "I want" and not about "what Faith wants" or "what Faith needs". The singular failure of this book is that it ought to be a lovely story because it is about an omega on the run from danger and a pack of alphas who save and protect her; but instead of sensing protectiveness, I'm mainly sensing that they want to possess her. The romance is a huge fail for me.
Ehhh, this story is alright but it’s not well developed at all. The characters are very flat and the plot is pretty flimsy. It has elements of other sweet omegaverse stories, but lacks a lot of the emotional depth that you’d expect from the genre.
The characters also seem a lot more animalistic in comparison to other omegaverse books, in a way that is not appealing or attractive. The possessive, instinctual behaviors come off as more abusive and objectifying than I’m used to seeing. The relationship is highly imbalanced and the way they manipulate and guilt Faith especially in regards to future children is really uncomfy. Also, I don’t mind dirty talk in books, but the way they talk to her in this books is really unsexy (like repeatedly calling her a ‘dirty whore’). It was not for me. Honestly, I skimmed past most of the sex scenes in this book which meant I skimmed most of the book because it was majority sex scenes and very little else.
The characters had extensive mood swings and seemed very immature. I also didn’t understand their blasé attitude toward murder. It was like a super casual topic and they just killed anyone that annoyed them. The plot line with the missing dad was pointless and barely given attention in the story, they should have just cut that part out.
Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed. It’s an okay story if you’re really hard up for a sweet omegaverse to read, but it won’t give you the same feelings or connections as some of the more popular books out there.
Like many others who reviewed this book in the 2-3.5 stars range, I'm a bit torn here. The story was good and I found myself interested enough to keep reading, but there were aspects that really did rub me the wrong way. I'd be enjoying the story, then something would happen that gave me the icks, then I'd be enjoying the story again. It was very up and down.
This isn't a dark omegaverse, nor is it a sweetverse, but something in between. I would not recommend it for readers who are unfamiliar with ABO or how Omegaverse works as the world building in regards to that relied heavily on someone already with experience reading Omegaverse.
Here are my 'problem areas' (spoilers ahead):
Ok rant over. Read it or don't. It's a fine story and I honestly feel like it could be great with a few adjustments.
3.4 stars. Whoa. Talk about emotional whiplash. This was chaotic as all hell…super hot…but chaotic.
I liked the plot, though it was super simple with weird shit thrown in for seemingly no reason.
I liked the sex. The dirty talk was hot as hell, but once again had weird shit thrown in. Also, the last group scene we get? Totally unnecessary little details that could’ve just been left out to keep the fantasy going…
I liked it. But I’m not entirely sure what the fuck I thought about the FMC….or all the disagreements and fighting and yelling randomly and mood shifts from one second to another. It was just a lot.
A one-night stand led to a hunt. The St James pack knew the Omega their beta was with was their destiny. Unfortunately, their "destiny" left town that very night. Faith lives several towns over with her mom and stepfather who see her more as an irritating maid than anything else. When her stepfather decides to sell her to a local pack before her first heat, she runs. Hoping to reach her brother, she falls right into the path of the St James pack, and this time they aren't letting her escape.
I had looked forward to this release so much but was ultimately disappointed. I'm not sure the story knew what it really wanted to say. Definitely, the characters were confused as to who they were. Beware: Spoilers ahead > >
*Faith's brother Derek was uncaring and selfish one moment, protective and overbearing the next. *Faith was terrified one minute, cuddling Alphas the next *The Alphas would be unreasonably angry yet expect Faith to accept everything without any communication. *How was Pete able to kidnap her wealthy, prominent father, fake his death, and assume his life without anyone ever asking questions? *Kidnapping without redemption is not okay. It shouldn't lead to cuddles and knotting. *Demanding a baby from someone you've known a matter of weeks and who just turned 21, is not attractive. And the way Faith gave into this was disappointing. Did she not have any dreams for her life other than being a baby maker?
Harvey and Xander were the most likable characters in the book. Both cane across as innocent in a strange way. Sebastian and Benjamin were more typical Alphas. Each had their moment. Faith needed a little more sense and a lot more backbone. And her family needed to be left behind. Overall, I expected more.
I did like most parts of this, but I wasn’t so keen on a few things:
They kidnap the poor girl with absolutely shit communication then proceed to lock her in a room She pretty much immediately forgives them and is all good with them within a couple of days Her brother is kind of a dick I didn’t understand how Matt really came into the situation- he’s a pack member and lives in the house, but isn’t really part of their inner group of alphas? He’s a random pack member and is just a random beta? Sebastian basically demanding to get her pregnant REALLY annoyed me. She’s 21, been abused physically and mentally, been sheltered and cut off from the world, and they want her to immediately give them a child?? Worst of all, she then relents to the pressure goes and gets pregnant! The way they dealt with Pete- not sure burying him in the walls is the best body removal?
Overall, it was still pretty enjoyable.

Eve is such a talented writer I have loved every world she has created and the characters that have formed within it but, BUT this book blew my mind and I fell in love. This is a sweet omegaverse with the most delicious alphas, heats, ruts and an omega who has so much to give if only given the chance.
Faith is trapped in a life she hates, she lives for the moments of reprieve when she visits her brother, little did she realise how one of those nights would change the course of her life and affect those around her just like the butterfly affect. She is beautiful, funny and fierce, she won't just back down, she will fight for those she loves and what she believes in. After a life looking after, protecting and trusting only herself it can be very hard to trust others with her safety and heart.
Sebastian, Benjamin, Harvey and Xander the alphas of the powerful St James pack become enraptured with the scent of their mate and will do whatever it takes to make her theirs. Real life isn't a fairytale and neither is there beginning but their journey builds the foundations for something bigger than they could have imagined.
You will fall in love with each of these alphas, although not always perfect they are human and the truth in their words will connect to you on another level, they are the perfect combination, they will hold you when you're sad and melt the clothes off your back.
This book completely put me off omegaverse for a bit, this just wasn't it.
After reading this book I looked through a few other reviews and noticed I wasn't the only one who basically felt like I read the book through one squinty eye with my hand over my face. I felt like the emotional depth and character togetherness was extremely lacking. The story line felt like a mess and a trainwreck. Generally the RH omegaverse I've seen and read involve some form of pack bonding, collaboration, romancing - something! This pack felt disjointed. The "pack beta" felt like a paper puppet, flimsy and inconsequential, that was treated as less than by literally ever character in the book. The MMC's almost all bothered me in one way or another. Either they didn't support their "brothers", didn't trust each other, were extreme assholes, over the top control freaks, and it seemed like they'd rather command each other or push each other out of the way to get where they wanted to go.
I was genuinely disgusted and in disbelief by the FMC and/or her choices multiple times. the progression of her choices and thoughts processes just kept shocking me. I could not relate. I found her wishy washy and lacking. Check out some of the other reviews for more specifics.
I won't continue with this series and this may have turned me off this author for now.
This was a good read and I throughly enjoyed it but the bad just outweighs the good. Only reason it wasn’t 5 stars was because it she was pressured into having a child right away. No thought that she’s been abused her entire life, trapped inside with no choices and JUST turned 21. It just turned me off enough I almost stoped reading. And this almost felt kinda toxic. She doesn't deserve to be treated like a child. And locked up because she wanted birth control. or freaking punished because she wanted one of her mates. Felt like she really had no choice period. In having children, in leaving if she wanted, in working, or in which mate she wanted first. Just toxic
I feel a bit disappointed by this book. It started really good, an interesting story, sheltered and abused FMC (Faith), and alphas totally obsessed by her scent to the point of kidnapping her. I really liked how Faith despised the guys and how it took them efforts to gain her trust because well, even being hot they still kidnapped her. But what I didn't really like is the end. Faith said clearly that she's too young for having babies, that she only had her first heat, and they still have to work on their relationship. Totally mature and responsible. But then she let her convinced by sweet words and knots and forgot totally her statement. Stupid girl totally head over heel for these guys🤦🏻♀️ A shame. Thought she was stronger and more independent.

It’s not that I didn’t enjoy this book, I did somewhat enjoy it. I also don’t regret reading it. However, this wasn’t the best quality omegaverse I’ve ever read.
My problems with this book are mostly because it’s such a superficial story. The characters aren’t very well developed. The world building is half-arsed. The romance/mating was superficial and based only on smells. I didn’t feel any real connection between the characters.
- Multiple POV’s - 4 alpha mates - FMC is omega - ❤️🔥 Kinks: triple penetration with DP in V, along with A. Double knotting in V. Tearing of V. Bondage. Praise. Degradation. Primal chase. Breeding. - 🌶 High heat - 🔥 fast burn - 🤰🏼 pregnancy - Triggers: domestic abuse, kidnapping/capture - No MM - No OW
I have to take a moment to give massive love and adoration for Eve's amazing talents in every genre she writes. This book truly gave me goosebumps in spots and the first 8 chapters had my heart racing right along with Faith.
This was such an incredible omegaverse story and I truly could not get enough. Faith has a rocky past full of plenty of turmoil and one peron that makes you want to gouge their eyes out. A chance encounter leads Faith down a path that she never expected to come and gosh darn those alphas definitely will get you hot and bothered.
Be prepared for Sebastian, Harvey, Benjamin and Xander to run all over your hearts and stitch it back togethere piece by piece. There is a deeper connection between these alphas and Faith that will have your heart swooning and wanting to smack them upside the head.
I loved every second of it and Eve really threw in some curveballs that made me slam the book down. Then she throws in delicious steamy scenes that make you need way more than a cold shower. The end had me in happy tears and I am dying to see what else will come from this omegaverse Eve has created! I highly recommend you grab this book and be prepared to be sucked in!
I really liked Faith and seeing her become more assertive with her guys. This is a fast-burn relationship. The guys smell her on their beta after Faith has a quickie with him at a club, and the hunt ensues, when they find her, they basically abduct her and she thinks they were sent by her step-father to drag her back. The abduction takes place about 3 days before her first heat. I liked that after the initial drama they all talk about what they want. Xander and Ben are my faves. The one issue I had *******************************************************************************spoiler************************************spoiler******************************************* was after her heat when they talked about her use of birth control. She says that she would like to wait a year for babies because she’s young - and they’ve basically only know each other for a week- but Sebastian and 3 of the guys say that’s not good enough, and she needs to be ready to have kids in 3 months (her next heat). I get they have a breeding kink, but it just seemed a jerk move. Especially since later Sebastian says that he would still want her to be their omega even if she didn’t want kids at all. It just irritated me. But overall, I did enjoy the story.
I can't express how much I loved this book! It was something else to watch how this pack wanted Faith and to make sure she was taken care of. Before I continue, I do want to point out that there are some triggers. You should definitely check them out before reading. I will say that Tied in Knots is now one of the top Omegaverse Harem books that I have read and loved. The book starts off a little naughty but does get really good from the time you start reading to the time you finish it. It wasn't a long read but it wasn't short either. Now the spice.. 💦 💦 💦....well that is something else entirely! I kept having to put the book down to catch a breath because Eve Newton new what she was doing when she wrote this book. 😈 I could not pick who my favorite character was out of the men. It was so hard and they all pulled a string in my black heart. It's safe to say that I added them all to the book harem of men that have my black heart!! 🖤 I can't wait to read book 2!! But a little birdie did say that it was coming soon!! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have! 🖤 Happy Reading!! 😈 🖤Christian O. 🖤
This was a very interesting book as it didn't quite seem like the other Omegaverse books. While the biological parts are there-knotting, Omega/Alpha/Beta hierarchy, etc were the same, something was off. The book starts off with a one-night stand with Matt, a Beta from the St. James pack. He was a dick and I was really unhappy that he was a part of this pack. However, when the Alphas smell her on him when he comes home, they instantly know she is the one. They search for her and kidnap her when they finally find her. While she is with them, I fell in love with the men. They were a little too feral for me though and the character development wasn't quite there. I also hated that Matt was part of the pack but he was sent away and basically had no place in the pack anymore. I am used to the Beta being close to at least one Alpha, but nope. There was only a scene of him apologizing, but it felt weird once the Alpha's and the Omega became pregnant. I also kinda wish we had some sort of marriage scene or commitment ceremony.
After their Beta comes home scented with their future mates scent, the St. James pack knows they have finally found her. Trying to locate her is not as easy as it sounds and Faith doesn't seem to interested in the idea of joining their pack. Both have different views on what the Omega's role is in the pack and until they can take the time to get to know one another their efforts seem futile but maybe they are all after the same thing after all.
I think for me I liked the idea of this one but was put off with Faith getting together in a one night stand before hand. There is a lot of background to Faith that falls into this story and you begin to understand her fear. The St. James pack was intriguing but just didn't seem to flow as much as I wanted it to.
Faith was a super sweet but at the same time so fiercely independent that you instantly fell in love with her. The bull that she goes through in her day to day life only served to make her that much more fierce in my eyes.
I’ll be honest, out of all of her guys my favorite was Xander. He was so sweet and so misunderstood that I just wanted to snatch him from the page and keep in protected in my pocket. The instant commitment from her guys even when she wasn’t around was swoon worthy. And watching them all come to terms with each other was very well written.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of this Omegaverse world from Eve!
Absolutely a fantastic story. I have been hooked on omegaverse stories lately and this one was exactly what I needed. I adored Faith. She was just a fantastic character. Now the guys. Wow. My favorites was Ben and Xander. But I’ll just pick them all since they all sound drool worthy. One part definitely made me laugh but I’m not giving away spoilers. Storyline is simply amazing. Now for the steam. Let’s just say some parts had me sweating. Overall I loved this story. Definitely recommend reading this one.
The whole way she just accepted the kidnapping was insane to me. However, I kept reading to see if it would get better. Things get hot but the whole “praise” sounded degrading and was not my cup of tea. Calling someone a whore isn’t praising them. Period. Then she decides to sneak out of the mansion to get birth control… why? Then they guilt her into saying she should get impregnated without mating them?!? Yeah, hard no from me. I prefer my RH omega verse stories with caring MLs and a smart FL with some bite to her. This did not live up to those expectations. Could use some improvement/refinement on plot as well to give some more character growth and tension.
This book tells the story of Faith. She is in London for a short visit and is in a bar where she meets a guy and gets close and personal. She is only in town shortly and tells him this. When he gets home the alphas of his pack go insane nearly over the scent he's carrying. They do everything in their power to find her but nothing. However luck seems to be on their side but things don't go to plan accordingly. This is my favorite book by Eve to date. It's perfect for the ABO community and is everything I wanted and more!
I LOVED this book! Faith is a sweet omega that has a bit of sass to her, and she makes you fall in love with her from the start. Each of her guys are fantastic in their own way, but Benjamin and Xander are my personal favorites. A bit of action, a boatload of steamy deliciousness, and this is my new favorite omegaversey RH! I needed this sweet book to make my heart happy ❤️
I want to thank the author for giving us 4 alphas that express themselves right away. They smell her and become obsessed to have her. I love that they feel so much for her. Instead of being the grumpy, super aloof alphas they actually show their true feelings for Faith. As for Faith I found her a breath of fresh air! She is quite feisty even though she claims to be non confrontational! She confronts quite a bit. I love the chase at the very beginning. I am definitely reading more from this author. Highly recommend.
Such a cute story!! I love how it didn’t start as a conventional meet the pack and omega series. I love all her men and i love show she started to be more comfortable in her skin throughout the book. Being more outspoken and herself.
I'm really not happy to rate this book now. It's a thing, if you enjoyed/loved a book. Then it's an easy task. But it is really difficult to do so, when you kind of liked something, and then again, you have a lot of issues with it, too.
That's what got me, sorry/not sorry for the pun?, in knots.
So, first off. This book isn't totally crap. It is well-written. I didn't see many mistakes or anything. The blurb sounded promising. Though, the execution was the issue.
I don't like how the pack learns about Faith. She had sex with their beta, Matt, who btw was a total prick to her, and when he comes back to the pack mansion they get caught by her scent. Of course, Matt doesn't know anything about her. So, they weren't able to find her.
Then, when they finally encounter her, here is to mention she is on the run and terrified, instead to calm her or try to talk to her reasonable, they chase her around. After they caught her, instead of explain then, the leader alpha says to her, when she asks why they do what they did, she “fucked with the wrong man.” Which, of course, sounds menacing.
This could be put under misunderstanding or something. And it wasn't my main problem, because a lot of books starts with such a situation, and the guys are still the good ones. And the book wasn't called Sweetverse or anything. So, no one can blame that on that fact.
So far, so good. And the blame isn't only for the guys. The FMC Faith is an issue as well. She says she doesn't like confrontations and is a people pleaser. But from the very first moment, she acts against that. Sure, it could be chalked up to some sort of connection, or her feeling instantly comfortable with them. And it is kind of explained that way. But it doesn't make much sense. Especially with her abduction.
Furthermore, she acts really immature and doesn't think things through. Sure, she is just 21. But I can't believe she is that naive. She and the guys have a lot of mood swings during the book, too. Which doesn't make it any better. Sure, she isn't far away from her heat, which is affecting her hormones and moods. The guys are caught in a rut, or something. Are impacted as well.
I often say, I take the world of a book as it is, and leave my standards and morals behind. As much as possible. Because, of course, I can't just forget about that. But I really try to immerse myself in the world. And that only works, if you take it as it is. But that's the issue, when you don't really get a grasp on this world.
Sure, it's mostly like our everyday world. But this world is still different from ours. So, I kind of don't get the pack dynamics. Like Matt. He is the beta of the pack, and apparently lives with them on the mansion. But he doesn't have any connection with them. And he isn't part of Faith's harem. He isn't even there most of the time. So, I don't really understand it. The pack the same. They have a hierarchy, sure. But they don't feel really close. They keep secrets from each other and don't talk openly. That kind of bugged me a lot.
Faith has her trust issues. I kind of get the reasoning. But she wants honesty, and isn't always honest herself.
So, it is difficult. Then there were the sexual encounters. I don't want to kink shame or anything. But it wasn't my jam with that kind of “dirty talk”, where she is called a dirty slut/whore. That put me off. But again, everyone is allowed to have their kinks. And it was at least consensual.
I didn't really understand the thing with the knot. Of course, I know what it means in an Omegaverse and the biological sense. Omegaverse is my favorite genre. But it seems in this universe, the alphas aren't able to knot without a heat/rut? Again I have to complain about the fact, there wasn't really an in depth explanation about how mating/courting etc. works, or the body anatomy. I'm all for creativity and different interpretations of Omegaverse. But I like it explained, so everyone is on the same page. And I'm sure, if someone reads this book as a starter for Omegaverse, it could be confusing.
The alphas are all possessive and obsessive. That is something I don't have a problem with. And as I said before, this book isn't a Sweetverse book. So, there is a dark side to the psych. Including violence and questionable morals.
And sure, we can all argue about the part with the children conversation. The FMC has, of course, every right to do with her body as she pleases. And sure, she is young. But being young, doesn't always mean too young for children. It's more about if you are ready for that, or at least mature enough. And that's what I don't see in her case. Seeing, that she rather sneak out of the mansion, to secretly getting birth control pills and without telling anyone, instead of talking to them, isn't really mature. Not to forget putting herself in danger.
The conversation after that wasn't well executed, either. I'm not sure about the pressure thing. I kind of don't think Sebastian means it that way. Sure, he is keen to have children as soon as possible. But when she had said, that she doesn't want children, I still believe he would have respected that. The entire story, they don't harm her or anything. They give her what she needs or wants. And I kind of think it's mostly her trust issues, why she is against children at first. After she felt secure, she changes her mind. Even though, it was quickly.
The rest of the plot... I was sort of disappointed. We don't see a real confrontation with the bad pack, or Pete. So, I don't really get the reasoning or how this could have worked. I mean, if the father of her was assumed to have had a heart attack and died, why shouldn't Faith and her family aren't be able to look in the coffin? Or any of the officials? Sebs father, for example. It didn't add up.
The epilogue was sort of pointless to me, too. I would have liked to see Xander with the baby. He was the most hesitant of the guys. Would have been better. But okay.
Overall, I read it fairly fast, and liked it. But the issues make it only an okay/average read for me. So, 3 stars it is.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book was okay for maybe a chapter or two then went weird and became a big nope fest. First, obsession to trapping, tie up, kidnapping, locking away then jumping into be with zero chemistry or trust or anything that give people connections with each other, then to 'I love you'. Then, of course, to top it all off, babies. Faith wanting to wait on having kids and Sebastian trying to pressure her into wanting kids now. There should've been a conversation about wanting kids but of course after the two seconds of getting to "know" them, it was bang city (and it wasn't even that great). It all just seemed forced and unnatural with no reason for any of this to happen except for 'basic instinct' driving them all together.
I don't know about you but kidnapping someone isn't exactly a good way to start to get to know someone.
For a 2 hundred something book, it was hard to read at times just because I've gotten used to Alpha packs that don't believe in hierarchy within the pack. After reading this one, I definitely prefer the more laid back pack types. And some more communication about feelings and plans would have made it a less frustrating read, but that could also be because I'm stressed in real life and wanted more easygoing chapters to escape to.
Still a well written omegaverse. I will probably read more from this author later.

Tied in Knots is an epic stand-a-lone delivered by Eve Newton that is jam packed with heat, lust, intensity and action.
Faith has lived the last few years in constant agony. Agony over the life she’s lost, agony over her life now and agonising about her future, willing it to be better. With only herself to turn too, Faith has had to learn quickly that life isn’t always fair and doesn’t always go as expected, that is, until a chance encounter changes her life forever. Will she be able to face her fears and accept the life she was destined too? Will she be able to let go of the past in the hopes to secure a future for herself? Can the alphas of St. James convince Faith that not all is at it seems?
I adored this book. It was so refreshing to read a story in a brand new universe but with the classic characters that Eve writes. Faith was headstrong, loyal and fierce. She was unwavering in her strength but unashamed of her desires and I adored that about her. The men, despite being powerful, showed humility and vulnerability in waves. I felt that I could connect to these characters and I loved seeing the world through their eyes. I also adored Xander’s character, the way the different mindset and ways of thinking were portrayed was done incredibly well. He was human, he was real and he was raw. I empathised for him. I really latched onto him.
The plot was intense and exciting. When I thought one action-packed moment was over, I was surprised by either a steamy moment or another pacy plot line that riveted me to this story. I loved the changing of perspectives to add suspense and pace, especially in moments of high tension. It really helped to keep me on edge. I also particularly loved how this was gone during the steamier moments too because it was a completely immersive experience and that made it all the more sensual and thrilling to read. I thought the building of the backstory was done so well, particularly as this was sometimes done through dialogue and Faith’s perspective, it was nuanced and foreshadowing. It really enthralled me.
Overall, this book is a must buy. It was an incredible read and I can’t wait to see what Eve does with this omegaverse next!
SYNOPSIS (Standalone): The FC, Faith, is a bit of a Cinderella as her father has died and her mother has remarried a deadbeat abusive man who makes the FC clean and cook and who then lines her up to be sold to a “bad” pack. The FC escapes and is caught by the St.James pack who had picked up her scent 3 months prior when she had had a one night stand with their Beta and had been looking for her since as she was their Mate. The remainder of the book revolves around her relationship with the pack and the mystery around her father’s death. There’s a HEA.
Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆 there’s a lot of sex, it’s graphic, relatively hot and there’s some extreme dirty talk. Personally I felt it was all OTT and it was too much for the length of the book, happened very fast and was too gratuitous
I agree with other reviewers in that this just didn’t seem to work. The plot is paper thin and there is nothing likeable about the FC. Neither the MCs nor the FC get any real character development and the relationships are immediate with the FC jumping into sex with them almost immediately. Her first heat then takes up quite a bit of the story. The FC’s backstory is trite and a bad Cinderella rip off. There’s no real explanation as to why her mother fell for Pete in the first place or so quickly married him and let him behave as he did. All of the characters are cardboard cut outs. The part of the story involving the brother seems manufactured and only intended to introduce the question around the FC’s father’s death. The ending is rushed and there is no explanation as to how or why what happened with her father happened or what had been going on in the intervening 5 years.
All in all a lazy story with little to like or engage.
