Raven's Cry #4

Raven's Redemption

Rate this book
Follow the ghost , they’d said. It’ll be fun, they said Rain, Graham, Ezra, and Warren have been on the hunt for answers for weeks after learning that Rain’s brother is alive, and that Warren played a part in his disappearance. After facing off with the demon who took Rain’s brother, all of them nearly dying in the process, the woman in black leads them to reinforcements. The mysterious family the woman in black brought them to is willing to help, so long as they don’t ask too many questions. Like what they are. Who they are. But Graham’s certain he knows exactly what and who they are. After all, he’s been praying to them his entire life.

The ending wasn’t fully a cliffhanger so I’m not on a book hangover after reading this. But everything was amazing. All the new characters we met and all the interactions we got were great! I have no complaints about this book or the books that came before it. Now I can’t wait for book 5!

This one was harder to get through

This book was very confusing, especially with some characters have 3 different names and so many new characters introduced. This book also focused significantly less on the relationships in my opinion and more on the storyline which is fine but not what I necessarily want to read. The series is still good and I'll continue to read it.

Wow, so that happened.

This series will grab your interest and then keep grabbing over and over again. There is plenty of action for those that just have to have that, and there are plenty of hot steamy and raucous scenes and yes they are graphically explicit so monitor your under 18 readers, haha.
I am so excited a new volume is coming although, I tend to be an impatient brat when waiting for my next binge read.
These characters and situations are so lifelike with their idiosyncrasies, attitudes and flair for the boisterous reaction that sometimes you might see coming but who cares when the story is so well told. That being said, this one like the others in the series will make you fidget if you are one of those readers that get sidetracked with misused words, misspelled or dropped words.
While I am not a fan of cliffhangers, this author makes them work for her books. Now I still don't do spoilers, I will say this, this book and the others in the series will keep your attention and keep you coming back for more because they are so interesting and so inclusive.

I won't recommend this to any an all audiences so, NOT Family friendly. This is due to extreme graphic descriptions and heavy overload on the language. Also, take the authors trigger warnings at heart, If you have issue with the poly life, mixed and non mixed life/sex partners then don't read this book just to be a nay sayer. Also, if you have trouble reading a book with rough, violent or cnc sex scenes, this may not be for you. if you are curious about dynamics, this seems to be a pretty honest interpretation.

Ravens Redemption

Before starting this, I highly recommend reading Charlies Eluding Destiny series. I promise you if you were enjoying this series so far you WILL NOT be disappointed. In fact I actually love the other series more due to the amazing diverse group of flawed and amazing characters. It’s a dark paranormal romance and more. I would even go as far to say one of my favourite series of all time. In addition to it just being simply out of this world amazing, the other reason is these characters are helping Rain, Graham, Ezra and Warren every step of the way. This is a proper crossover story done right and the enjoyment factor for knowing both series characters is off the charts. Charlie writes wonderful characters with a real journey. She puts them through the ringer and they come out stronger than ever! They will make mistakes but boy do they own them, no excuses allowed.

What can I say about Ravens Redemption? It just keeps getting better and better. I don’t think Charlie has it in her to write a less than perfect story! It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and something I think is very unique is, it makes you feel you are part of the story. You are experiencing everything along with characters.

5/5 amazing stars and I will say again, please ready the Eluding Destiny series first so you can get the absolute full experience which was everything. Put it this way I am struggling for words to sum up how wonderful I felt reading.

As someone who has not read the Eluding Destiny series or any other books by the author except this series, this was a hard book to get through. I was so lost throughout the book with so many new characters, a lot of whom had multiple names, and a lot of worldbuilding from the other series just smacked into your face.

I don't think I would have minded it as much if details of it had been woven in from the beginning, all we got was Graham's beliefs/religion (which were always mentioned briefly and not elaborated on in depth) and Amelia talking about timing (which did come around but two small payoffs do not make up for the COPIOUS amounts of new information).

It didn't even feel like a Raven's Cry book to be honest, it felt like what I imagine an Eluding Destiny book to be. And maybe this was all necessary set up for the continuation series where the characters set off on their new journey. But this book was jarring to say the least. A lot of the times I did manage to piece the worldbuilding that was happening, but a lot of the times I just gave up because there was so much new information to cover at all times I couldn't wait forever for something to click.

That's just me though. I'm sure other readers loved this book or will love it.

The end of an arc, beginning of the next

I loved this book as much as I do all of Charlie's others, but it was definitely a departure from the beginning of this series. That's not a bad thing, though! As Rain and her guys come to the end of this arc, so many things have reached a fever pitch, and the culmination is beautiful. Highly recommend reading this story, especially if you are a fan of her Eluding Destiny series, as it ties together beautifully. Many familiar faces, and at the end of it, the promise of a new adventure.

Holy…WOW! To say this book didn’t have me on the edge of my seat at every flip of the page would be a lie. The twists and turns this book takes is definitely a wild ride and one that will leave you stunned at every turn. I love being able to witness the bond between Rain, Ezra, Graham, and Warren grow. I especially love being able to continue to see the chemistry between Rain and the guys individually. Now can we talk about that scene with Rain and Ezra, because that was honestly just perfect! I can’t wait for the next book!

Just when you think the last book was the best, Charlie keeps proving us wrong. Every book just makes the story better and better. This book pulls out every emotion from you without any remorse. The character development, the twists and turns, the connections and relationships continue to grow and make you feel like you’re really a part of their world and family. I thought the ending was absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to see how the story continues to develop and where the journey takes our favorite people including the new addition to their group! 😉

Charlie did it to us once again.

Rain and her guys are everything you could ever want. There was a lot of growth for each of them, good, bad, and ugly.

I'm one of her readers who has NOT read the Eluding Destiny series... yet! So, I don't know the background of some of these characters. But boy, oh boy, I know what I'm moving up my TBR.

Sooooooo many things go down in Redemption; I will absolutely not give any spoilers. You'll just have to dive in for yourself. You won't regret it.

Well done, Charlie. I'm very much looking forward to book five.

I'm glad these were free on Kindle unlimited. The first 3 books were short and ok. They kept me interested enough to finish the series. This book, however, I DNF. I couldn't. It didn't keep my interest, it was repetitive, and a lot of it didn't make sense. It dragged on and on with world building and inner dialogue. I could only manage to get through 31% of the book before I finally stopped because it felt like reading it was a chore.

I love when a story takes a turn I never saw coming

Chapter 10! Excuse me!? Just gonna drop that on us all at once huh ? Holy goodness. What a great addition to the series. I look forward to the next installment. Masterful work as always. Charlie's writing has improved with every book and I'm so happy to be here to see it.

Absolutely amazing

I absolutely adore every world Charlie Nottingham creates and I adore how they all interlock.

Millie is an adorable little bad ass and I can't wait to see her grow.

I adore how the relationship between Rain, warren, graham and Ezra has grown and developed and I can't wait for the next book.

I loved it! There was less action here than in the other books, but the relations development was totally worth it. And the SPICE!!! What I love the most about Charlie is that even with morally gray scenarios, there is always consent communication and understanding between charachters and a happy ending. We already have a closure and there's more to expect!!

Fantastic book! At first, I was worried that so many new characters appeared in this book, but I absolutely love them all and they worked themselves into the story pretty seamlessly. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat as I wondered how things would go and the world-building was fantastic. I adore this series and can't wait for the next book!

Love these books so much. I thought 4 was the last one, but found out there’s a 5th so I’m excited about that.
There was some confusion because some of Rain’s chapters were marked Ezra but I figured out when it happened fairly quickly

I can't even begin to explain just how much this book touched my very soul. I'm still struggling with some of the things that happened and I'm eager to find out what happens next with all of them.

This author is excellent in taking a lot of information and weaving the subplots into the main story beautifully. She must have a fascinating mind. This book started with surprises and ended with me in tears. I know this is a fantasy, but there are so many situations and feelings that I could relate to. And the love scenes are extremely HOT, but appropriate to the story. I very highly recommend this book (to anyone over 18.)

This book was so fun. So much more lore within the world was established. From visiting other realms, learning about the gods and exploring the characters on a new level, everything was well done.

I love how even 4 books into the series, they is still so much character development and relationship development being a huge focus of the story.
