As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

I loved writing Dolby! I gave him a heroine that was strong, yet quiet. Smart and intuitive, yet creative and preferred her characters rather than being in a crowd. I wrote the story with layers for the reader to slowly unveil, hopefully creating a sweet memory of Dolby and Marcia!

Trust has to be earned

Dolby may be huge and intimidating, but deep down he is a giant teddy bear with the biggest heart. Even when injured and about to pass out he acts like a gent and trys to put Marcia at ease. I love that he falls so quickly and completely, and that he fully owns it...no running, no denials, just complete commitment to Marcia.

Dolby is my new favorite!

Dolby (Lighthouse Security Investigations, West Coast (Book 5) tells the story of Jonathan Dolby (AKA Dolby) and Marcia Blackburn. Dolby is this tall, sexy, massive wall of muscle alpha who has taken a few days off and decides to spend his time hiking. He has noticed that the storm is coming in faster than he thought and decides to wait it out in this old lighthouse he sees off in the distance. He slips and falls down this hill and ends up with this cut on his head and possible concussion. He makes it to the lighthouse, and once there, he enters and there is a woman in the lighthouse that lets out this scream and she is looking at him with these wide eyes and is shaking uncontrollably. He clearly sees that she is frightened by his presence. He quickly explains what happened and why he is there and then passes out. Marcia Blackburn is a beautiful woman who has decided to go outside her comfort zone and take a hike. She sees the storm is coming and takes shelter in the lighthouse. She is terrified when she sees Dolby enter the lighthouse, but then he passes out. She is looking at him because he is so huge, he takes up the entrance to the lighthouse, and she has no way out. She grabs her stuff to leave when he passes out, but something makes her check on him and tend to the wound on his head. Marcia is clearly frightened of people and when Dolby comes to, he instantly sees this. They decide to ride out the storm together and he tells her all about himself in the hopes that she sees she has nothing to fear from him. She skips out the next morning very early before Dolby awakes. Dolby is hurt that she left without saying good-bye. He felt an instant connection to her, as did Marcia. He then sets off to find her. When he shows up at her home, she is scared/terrified/excited to see him. They admit they feel something for each other and agree to date each other and see where this connection leads them. Well, then everything goes to crap, and you will have to read their wonderful story to find out the rest because I do not like giving anything away. Oh Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, she has such a story to tell and it literally had me in tears. She is such a strong character. Once Dolby finds out her secrets it is game on. He makes it his mission to right all her wrongs. This was such a great story. There is a lot of suspense and action going on too. I love all the Lighthouse Security men, but Dolby, he is my new favorite. His fellow Lighthouse keepers are very much front and center on this mission, as are the ladies in their life. There are new characters introduced, which I hope they get their own story. Thank you, Maryann Jordan, for such a beautiful, amazing story. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Did not want this to end… there may be spoilers.
This incredible story kept me so enthralled from the first word--- I did not want this story to end and it stayed on my mind for days… I’m not sure that my review can depict how much this story resonated with me.
From the start the way Dolby and Marcia met was just incredible, the description of where they were and how they meet. Marcia’s vulnerability and quiet demeanor are shown in those first few pages, and we are thrown into their story and romance from the get-go. It definitely isn’t easy, and Marcia has to overcome so much to allow her to trust Dolby.
Marcia has a strength of character that she doesn’t see in herself, Dolby became her strength and her guidance. She was able to open her heart and also to work through her demons. Dolby revealed his patience and care for Marcia but also pushed when he needed so that she could begin to heal and see how truly incredible she was and live a life worth living.
A case of mistaken identity has Marcia in a race to stay alive, to not let her ghosts of her past overwhelm her. In this we also saw her how she had protected herself through her writing process, I just loved how her “detective” came to her and pushed her to listen to her gut…it truly felt like I was getting to know Maryanne in these pages. But it was the voice of her twin that brought me to tears and how he also was able to allow herself to grieve and heal so that she could live her future.
As she is held captive, we are introduced to another character, she risked her life for Marcia to give her a little bit of freedom and normality in an undesirable situation Tudora is selfless, smart, and strong. There is a little cloud of mystery around her. Maryanne, we need her story!!!
The keepers show their usual comradery in their support of Dolby allowing him to lead the rescue, they trust in each other and there are no questions asked. Marcia comes to realize that families come together in difference ways and embraces it all. She also accepts that she can be whom she is and doesn't need to change.
There are also characters that are introduced from Dolby’s life. I feel we may meet them in the future, or I certainly hope so.
I loved this book for numerous reasons, but it was the fact that the heroine was a writer that held me captive … I felt that Maryann allowed us to see a little bit of her.
Thank you for the ARC, Maryann, this is a true review.

Every release of Maryann Jordan’s is a truly fantabulous read, but Dolby ….OMG!! Dolby and Marcia’s story was so spellbindingly beautiful it knocked me right on my backside.

I love everything about Lighthouse Security Investigations. This is certainly a series I would love to go on forever.

Although this story has its own fair share of action (which I love), it was the depth of emotions that captured my heart. The pain and fear is so palpable I’m right there with them, experiencing everything first hand.

Dolby is a total protector, incredible badass alpha with a heart as soft as sinking into the softest silk sheets you can imagine.

His personality calls to you on a visceral level. He is the epitome of what we all secretly want a man to be.
His openness and kindness is addictive, add to that his alpha dominance and it’s enough to make your ovaries burst.

I love watching how gentle he is with Marcia, instinctively knowing she’s been hurt. Watching how gentle he is is a beautiful sight to behold.

Marcia is a stunning character. She’s living the the darkness and fear of her past, but she doesn’t realise that the sheer fact that she gets up each and every day is testament to her strength of character.

I wanted to reach through the pages and hug her, I wanted her to know what a role model she is for anyone who has lived through hell. When you’ve lived through the worst that can happen people can give up, allow the darkness to swallow them, but Marcia found an outlet for her pain and made a positive out of it.

A lot of people think authors write stories for monetary gain but it’s so much more than that. Authors have a unique skill to create a magical world for readers to envelope themselves in. To forget their pain and life and sink into someone else’s life. This is exactly what Marcia did, she used her pain in a way that allows others a reprieve from their own pain for a short while.

Watching the men of LSI work together like a well oiled machine, in perfect synchronicity to find Marcia and rid the world of darkness and evil.

Maryann Jordan has once again knocked it put of the park, in this case she’s knocked it so far out of the park there’s no finding it again!!

If you haven’t guessed from my words I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Not enough stars in the sky to fully portray how wonderful and spellbinding a read this book is.

This is book five in The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series and it is Dolby and Marcia’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Dolby worked for Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast and absolutely loved his job and at the moment he was taking a break by himself and enjoying the solitude but when the weather takes a turn for the worst he takes refuge in the lighthouse not knowing that someone is already there. Marcia has severe anxiety and trust issues due to her past and while on a hike the weather gets bad and she shelters from the rain in the lighthouse but when a large man walks in sending her anxiety through the roof and then he collapsed in front of her due to being injured which she treats the best that she can while he is out and can’t surprise her. Dolby and Marcia end up spending the night in the lighthouse together but in the morning when Dolby wakes up she is gone so Dolby was determined to find her so that he could make sure that she is alright especially as he knew how anxious and frightened she was but also he wanted to see her again. The connection between Dolby and Marcia was so strong and after meeting again they decide to see each other again and see where it goes only for Marcia to be kidnapped by mistake and now it is a race again time to find and rescuer her before they find out that they have taken the wrong woman. My heart broke for everything that Marcia had been through in her life and I loved how calm, honest and caring that Dolby was with her and the attraction, connection and chemistry between them was so strong and I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning as it had me completely hooked and was so addictive and a amazing read that had you turning the pages to see what would happen next and what the outcome would be for them especially as they are so perfect for each other and definitely deserve there happy ending after everything that they have been through. There were some twists and turns along with some great surprises along with situations that had you in tears and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Maryann Jordan who is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows hope to keep your attention while reading her books and have you on the edge of your seat and I can’t wait to read more of her books in the future.

I loved this book. There is a depth to this book that really touched me. Dolby is a strong, confident former special ops soldier now working for Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast. Marcia is a quiet, intelligent introvert with a tragic past. Each was enjoying some solitude, hiking, when they were thrown together in a lighthouse of all things. Marcia overcame her absolute fear to keep company with Dolby until a storm passes. Conversation didn't come easily for Marcia. The silence felt "wool-sweater itchy." They pass the time together out of the rain in the lighthouse and finally fall asleep. Marcia wakes up early and sneaks out, but not before leaving an inscription in his paperback, "God built lighthouses to see people through storms. Then he built storms to remind people to find lighthouses. Thank you for sharing the lighthouse with me." Dolby is captivated by Marcia and is driven to search her out to see her again.

Without giving too much away, Dolby uses the resources available to him to find Marcia again. Marcia, safely back in her home, is shocked when Dolby is suddenly at her door. After talking they decide to build a friendship. They discover they have books in common. They both love mysteries. Marcia admits, sheepishly, to loving romance books. Dolby tells her, "Books are a reflection of life. And none are more important than those about relationships. Friendships. Family. Couples. Love."

Marcia's good friend, Angela, unknowingly brings danger to Marcia. It takes Dolby's LSIWC co-workers and ingenuity by Angela to save Marcia.

I always find myself highlighting different phrases and quotes in Maryann's books. This book was no different. Maryann has such a touching way of introducing us to vulnerable characters. I often feel more open to different people and situations after reading her books. Another 5-star from me for Dolby!

This latest addition to the series gives us the story of Jonathan Dolby, a member of the Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast. A company made up of former elite military men and women whose goal is to protect. These individuals are called Keepers.
After a mission, Jonathan is ready for alone time as a means to recharge his mind and his spirit. When a storm comes through and he gets hurt, he seeks the shelter of an abandoned lighthouse. Never expecting to meet a woman there who was also seeking shelter.
Marcia Blackburn is that woman. One who has suffered great traumas and tragedies and because of them has isolated herself from others. She also keeps secrets of whom she really is.
When she faces the injured man, she is both scared and to some point comforted. But as morning comes, she disappears, leaving Jonathan with a need to find her. For him, she is somehow already special.
But what happens when Marcia is kidnapped due to a mistaken identity? Will the Keepers be able to rescue her? Will this be the last straw to break Marcia, or will she realize that she is indeed a strong, intelligent and brave woman as well as a survivor?
The author delivers another wonderful story in this series. A remind that our childhood and past experiences will affect the person we become today. Also that as life progresses, we experiences different chapters in it as we move forward.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Another great Lighthouse Security Investigations story from the West Coast. I loved Dolby, definitely a keeper! He’s a alpha protector to his core and badass with it but has a truly soft and kind heart hidden away that belongs to Marcia from the moment they meet.
A truly interesting plot and plenty of action but some truly heartfelt emotions at play as well. Marcia suffered terrible trauma as a child and now lives a quiet, introverted life, doing what she has to do to survive the fear that is her constant companion. Taking baby steps to overcome her fears is how she meets Dolby and she overcomes more fear to see out a storm with him before disappearing. Dolby knows he has to see the quiet solitary woman again and sets about tracking her down. As they take their tentative steps towards a relationship Marcia is suddenly plunged in danger and the terror and nightmare of her past is happening all over again. Dolby is desperate to save the gentle but strong woman he is falling for and he and his fellow Keepers will stop at nothing to to find her.
I have to confess that while I adored Dolby, Marcia isn’t ever going to be my favourite character, we just didn’t gel but she did use a wonderful quote ‘God built lighthouses to see people through storms. Then he built storms to remind people to find lighthouses. Thank you for sharing the lighthouse with me.’ Which I found beautiful! Thoroughly enjoyed the story and can’t wait for more. I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

When Dolby falls down a hill, gets covered in mud and gets a gash on his head hiking through a rainstorm by the ocean, he seeks shelter in an old lighthouse and stumbles upon Marcia, who is also taking refuge there during the storm. Marcia is terrified of Dolby and starts to leave but turns back when he falls and notices a gash bleeding on his head. She gathers all her courage to help him and when he comes too, she decides to stay and wait out the storm with him. Dolby notices her fright and wariness of him, so he stays on the opposite end of her and engages her in conversation, fascinated by the beauty who is stuck with him. She’s not his usual Dolby dame and knows she is special and someone he wants to get to know….but after hunkering down for the night and then waking up the next day….she’s gone….and Dolby will use his investigative skills to find the only woman who has ever made an impression on him.
Loved this read and the suspense throughout most of the book, kept me flipping the pages. Dolby and Marcia, what a couple, both strong and brave in their own ways and when the secret gets revealed….heartbreaking and heart wrenching. Add in the steam, sparks, amazing characters and the spot on descriptions…LOVED IT!!

Despite her crippling fear of strangers, Marcia took a chance on the larger than life man who stumbled upon her during a storm and promptly passed out. Not his finest moment. When he wakes, he gets a second chance to make a first impression wanting to ease the noticeably skittish woman's fear. While sheltering from a storm, they get to know one another, but she remains a mystery to him especially when she disappears the next morning.
But he doesn't work for an investigation company for nothing. Using the resources available to him, he finds her again and despite the slightly stalkerish nature of his research, he convinces her to take a chance on them. They hadn't even had a first date yet, when all hell breaks loose. In a case of mistaken identity, Marcia is taken which brings back all the nightmares of her past that she had kept tightly contained.
Dolby, being the typical hero protector type, rushes to the rescue with the help of his team. Nothing will stand in the way of him saving the woman he's quickly falling for.
Not quite an instalove romance but close to it, these two seem perfect together, sharing several of the same interests. His love gives her the courage to come out of her shell. The care they show each other is beautiful.

OMG Maryann Jordan has done it again. She's brought another LSIWC book that will suck you in from the first page and keep you entertained until the last. Dolby and Marcia are quite the couple, I absolutely loved these two. Their first meeting was quite interesting. Their second meeting definitely has you rooting for more between these two. Dolby's patience with Marcia regarding her past is touching.
As they are getting to know each other something happens to Marcia, cue the drama, intrigue, edge of your seat excitement. As the Lighthouse Security team all pull together to save Marcia from danger, we get to enjoy the commendatory between them all as they work the case. I love this team and how they support each other professionally and personally.

Dolby and Marcia's reunion is touching, emotional and has all the feels. Once they are back home the way the ladies welcome Marcia to the group is another part of this series I love, the way the women support each other. This is one that once you start reading you will wan to read it in one sitting.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

A Keeper and a mystery/romance author must fight for their happy ending

Marcia is dealing with a family tragedy that keeps her from allowing others into her inner circle. Jonathan is ready to find his soulmate who isn't a "one and done" hookup. Caught in a rain storm each seek shelter in a lighthouse. Marcia is very careful to not share any personal details of her life, not even her last name. Jonathan gives her his ID, phone, driver's license, and encourages her to call a friend to say she was safe and who she was with. They share their food, water, and thoughts on a M.B. Burns book he had been reading. The next morning she leaves before he wakes up. Jonathan is determined to find her knowing there was something special about Marcia. After tracking her down, Jonathan finds out why she kept her life a secret. After talking every night for a week while he is on a mission, he comes home to find her kidnapped. Now he needs the other Keepers to help him find Marcia before someone can take away their future. This is another must read Lighthouse Security book by Maryann Jordan.

Dalby is the fifth book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations: West Coast series by Maryann Jordan...
Okay, so if you’re into romantic suspense with a big dose of action, loyalty, and swoon-worthy heroes, then this series is basically like binge-watching your favorite action-drama TV show … but in book form.
Maryann Jordan gives us a crew of ex-SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, and other elite badasses who now run a top-tier security and investigations company on the West Coast. Each book focuses in on a different team member, so you get a fresh romance with each separate instalment, but with the same tight-knit “found family” vibe running through the whole collection.
With plenty of danger, mystery, and high-stakes missions - mixed with tender, slow-burn (or sometimes fast-burn) romance/s. And the chemistry between the couples feels natural, while the banter is fun without being too cheesy.
It’s the kind of series where you finish one book and immediately want to jump into the next. And honestly, the mix of adrenaline and heart makes it quite addictive.
Happy Reading…

"I want to feel alive with you.”

Could two characters be anymore perfect for each other…..
Jonathan Dolby loves his job as a Keeper. His teammates are his family. He learned that while serving in the military. But he cherishes his time alone with nature and his thoughts of his childhood made him the man his is today. Marcia is a woman of mystery. After one horrible night her life changed forever. So she chooses to spend her time with her characters in the many novels she writes and her best friend. It’s the only way she can move forward. Until she meets a handsome protector while sheltering from a horrible storm in a lighthouse on the coast. For the first time in years she sees what life could be like if she’s willing to take a chance. Just when she decides to follow her heart her worst nightmare comes back to haunt her. Dolby is the latest in the LSI WC series and once again Maryann Jordan knocked it out of the park. Marcia, a shy introvert, decides to go hiking as a way to get out of her comfort zone. As she is hiking, it begins to rain and she takes shelter at an old lighthouse. Dolby is out hiking as well, and when the weather turns he also heads to the lighthouse. Unfortunately, he fall and hits his head. As he makes it to the lighthouse, he falls inside and passes out, scaring Marcia. Marcia, due to trauma in her past, is very scared but overcomes her fear and helps Dolby. When Dolby wakes up, he realizes that Marcia is frightened, but he convinces her to wait out the weather. She sneaks out the next morning prompting Dolby to track her down. These two have obstacles to overcome, especially her past (which is absolutely heartbreaking), but this fast paced story will keep you coming back for more. I’m looking forward to Bennett and the remaining Keepers stories. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.

This was the first book of Maryann Jordan's I read and I loved it. Marcia, with a tragic past, meets Dolby in a lighthouse during a rainstorm and he notices right away she is nervous with him around. Dolby does what he can to minimize her fear and they spend the night in the lighthouse companionably, but she disappears early in the morning before he wakes. With the little he knows, Dolby tracks her down and begins the process of letting her get to know him and hoping that as she begins to trust, she will let him know her past, which he purposefully didn't search for. Then she is kidnapped and her friend goes to the Lighthouse Security team to find Dolby and they search for her.

Engaging book with references to couples from previous books in the series and the original lighthouse series, but you don't feel like you are missing things as they did not hint at what happened in the past and gave a general reference about what you needed to know for this story. I will be going back to read her backlist.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Dolby . I found this suspense romance amazing . This is the fifth book in this series and they are all sensational . Jonathan Dolby (Dolby ) works for Light house security west coast . While taking vacation time hiking and camping he comes upon deserted lighthouse and a woman . They both find themselves trapped in a storm they spend the hours talking . Marcia has secrets and keeps to herself mostly . She slips out before he awakes . Dolby felt a connection besides his attraction to Marcia and wants to get to know her . He locates where she lives and they decide to spend time together and get to know each other . Unfortunately as the story unfolds Marcia finds herself in danger
and Dolby and the keepers work to save her . This story is interesting and Suspenseful . I felt like I was right there with Marcia . I found myself captivated . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Imagine finally getting up the nerve to venture out in the world for the first time in ages only to be caught in a fast moving storm and having to seek shelter in an abandoned lighthouse. Then have a mud covered behemoth of a man stumble into the lighthouse and pass out at your feet. What a great introduction to Marcia Blackburn and Jonathon Dolby. Maryann Jordan always creates such wonderfully likeable characters. You'll feel Marcia's nervous timidity and reserve. You grin at Dolby's openness and how gently he handles this skittish woman. They only spend a few hours together but it's enough for him to be hooked. Truth be told, she's interested in him too. As this story unfolds, you'll get caught up in the emotions of despair, hopelessness, determination and triumph experienced by Dolby and Marcia as events play out and you will root for them the entire way.It really doesn't get any better.

Dolby has to take some time off work so he decided to go camping and when the storm came in, he found himself covered in mud with a head injury scaring Marcia before he passed out. Marcia has lived her life in fear for the last several years and is trying to force herself out of her comfort zone by hiking to a nearby lighthouse where she intended to have snack before heading back. Once the storm rolled in, she found herself trapped in a confined space with a brute of a man and Marcia didn’t know it at the time but this chance encounter was about to change their lives for the better. The more you learn about these characters the more you’ll fall in love. I really enjoyed this story. It has action and intrigue but it also has complexity in the characters emotions. This was the first book I’ve read in this series so it can be read as a standalone but I’m adding the rest of the series to my TBR list.

Simply Beautiful

Another fantastic addition to the Lighthose West Coast Series. Dolby and Marcia were just beautiful, to say it simply. I love the way Ms Jordan led us through the story and developed their relationship. There is not as much of an active story going that you need to figure out the who and why but just different aspects of the normal intrigue part. I love reading Maryann's books because when I start, I don't want to put them down. The descriptions of everything draw a clear picture in your mind and you feel a part of the story. The characters are so developed you feel like an old friend and are right there. Dolby was perfect for Marcia in the way he got her to trust and want to give him a chance. He was so sweet and sexy. I loved them together and I also really loved the author connection, sort of a glimpse into what author does in research and writing. All in all, another fantastic read! Enjoy!

Dolby is my new favorite guy

Marcia is a recluse because of her childhood. She is stranded in a lighthouse during a sudden storm when Dolby stumbles in and then passes out. She is scared at first but as they start talking, she feels like she can trust him. She leaves in the very early morning without saying goodbye, but Dolby tracks her down. Over the next week or so they get to know each other but then she gets kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity because she was staying at a friends house and her friend was gone. When Angela gets home and finds out what happened he calls Dolby to help find her. The team jumps right back in to tracking where Marcia was taken and why. They put Angela in safe house until Marcia is brought home. Can Dolby and the team get to her before they realize they have the wrong person? Will Marcia starting living life or will she continue to live as a recluse?

I loved this book from the time the gentle giant met the scared little mouse in an abandoned lighthouse. Dolby know from his size alone he can scare people, and he certainly did Marcia when they first met.
Marcia knows she has hang ups, the past still has a great influence on her life, but she’s working hard to overcome things. She’s proud of how she dealt with meeting Dolby, but can’t see that someone like him would be interested in her introverted self.
Dolby is determined to see Marcia again, and if they can forge a relationship even better. However fate has other things instore, and Marcia will have to realise she’s stronger than she thinks, as Dolby and the LSIWC team move into action to save her.
You know what you get with Maryann’s books. Wonderful heroes, spunky heroines and a great story. This one definitely ticks all the boxes, well worth adding to your library.

I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The West Coast Lighthouse Keepers are fast becoming favourites of mine and this latest story shows you why. A team of former military predominantly special forces called keepers because of the fact that first the original and now this west coast branch are situated in former lighthouses they also are like the keepers of yesteryear determined to keep people safe.

This latest story is about Jonathan Dolby a member of lighthouse that has been told to take some leave and decides that he will go hiking giving him the solitude that he wants When a storm and a fall has him sharing a old lighthouse with Marcia he knows she is terrified Soon though a relationship develops between them and he learns of her horrific past When danger threatens her once again he will do whatever he needs to do to keep her safe and rescue her knowing that his team will have his back.

I always approach Maryann Jordan's books with a bit of caution, even when I reread her books. This one follows that same need for caution. When I picked Dolby I looked at the clock and knew better but I started her book late at night and paused in the very wee hours. I picked it up quickly later in the morning and did not put it down until the final page was read. Reading her books are always worth missing sleep.

A security expert, former military, and a young woman with shadows under her eyes and fears, both sheltering when rain catches them on their individual quests. So very fun and moments of serious, the complicated became so much more. Wow! Prepare for a page turner and many, many surprises as events spiral and secrets are revealed. Bravo!

I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dolby is the newest Keeper in the LSI-WC series and this is his and Marcia's story. I just loved these two! I don't know what it was about Dolby, maybe his sweet protective nature in a giant of a guy?, but I just loved him! And Marcia was strong and working so hard to be brave enough to overcome her past. I just loved her heart!

Even though these two didn't have much time together before they were separated, it felt like they did. Their connection was immediate and strong. I loved that Dolby went above and beyond to initially find her and that she was brave enough to trust him and let him in.

They had a strong connection and chemistry that burned bright whenever they were around each other. Dolby's protective nature and Marcia's bravery to deal with her situation were attractive to each other.

It is always good to catch up with the other Keepers and their better halves. I love the way the ladies are coming together to become good friends and a strong support system for each other. For those ladies like Marcia, who doesn't really have anyone like that in her life, it is a god send to have these new friends. I look forward to the next story and as always, excellent job Maryann!

Jonathan Dolby is all about being a keeper and loves all that he does but one of his true loves since childhood is nature. It is while out enjoying a hike that Dolby crosses paths with Marcia. They both end up taking cover in a abandoned lighthouse. Dolby ends up hurting himself when he tries to leave to make her more comfortable. Marcia has to decide then if she should help him or not. The next morning when Dolby wakes up Marcia is gone. He is determined to find her and with the help of the keepers he is able to. Little does Dolby know what he is walking into. Marcia when she meet Dolby can start to see what living could be about but then her past comes back to remind her why she shouldn't. Can Dolby save her in time? This story is a great read and love seeing the other characters again.

Jonathan Dolby, a LSIWC employee, meets Marcia during bad weather. The two are opposites in so many ways. Marica has a traumatic past that she has been working to overcome. Dolby is a self-assured, nice guy. The two decide to see where their chance meeting may lead. Unfortunately, a case of mistaken identity and an unscrupulous man leads to kidnapping and an international chase to save Marcia’s life.
Dolby is a wonderful addition to the LSIWC series, I enjoyed getting to know Dolby’s character better and meeting Marcia. Her character was vulnerable, yet strong and intelligent. The mystery was entertaining and educational. As always, it’s fun and exciting to meet up with all the LSIWC team. Thanks Maryann for another exciting book.

Meeting our newest LSIWC operator, Dolby and the individual who will become important to Dolby, Marcia. They meet under rather unusual circumstances during a rainstorm while finding shelter in an abandoned lighthouse. Dolby is leaving as Marcia is very uneasy about him being there but Dolby has an accident so Marcia struggles with helping or not. The next day she disappears, Dolby wants to find her and with help from the Keepers he does locate. While visiting with her we learn more about both Dolby and Marcia. From here we begin a love story that’s full of intrigue and mystery as to who is the villain and why has this happened for Dolby and Marcia. Will they get their HEA, will this is a MaryAnn Jordan book. Enjoy. I was given an ARC for my honest review of this book.

Marcia, a reclusive author with a trauma filled past, takes shelter in a deserted lighthouse from a storm. Dolby, a Lighthouse Security Investigations Keeper, also takes shelter in the same lighthouse from the same storm and another fantastic story from Maryann Jordan begins to unfold!

It was wonderful how Marcia slowly found the courage to begin trusting Dolby, whose gentle and caring ways made her feel safe and loved. When Marcia was mistaken for her friend and kidnapped, the entire team of Keepers plans a rescue. Hard to imagine a six foot five, two hundred twenty pound Dolby stuffed into a crate of vegetables being loaded onto the cargo ship, but it worked, as did the rescue!

I received an ARC of this book, but my review is my own and I have already pre-ordered the book.
