I know two things the second I meet Sammy Walker. One, he’s hot. And two, he knows it. The thing I didn’t know? That I’d fall for his charms and wind up pregnant.
Getting hired at Walker’s Brewery is a means to an end. One year. One year to put the past behind me, and then I’m gone.
Then, against my better judgment, I fall into bed with none other than Sammy Walker—the youngest of the four brothers who own this bar.
I should have said no. Scratch that. I should have continued to say no, since I’d been resisting that infamous swagger and crooked smile from the moment we met. After everything I’ve been through, a guy like him is the last thing I need.
But I didn’t say no. I said yes. Hell yes, in fact. And now … this impossibly charming playboy is about to be my baby daddy.
So, I do what anyone would do in my I give him an out. Only, the man-child who swore he’d never grow up demands to be involved in his baby’s life, and suddenly I’m looking at a whole new Sammy. In fact, the whole town sees the changes in him, and it’s enough to make me weak in the knees.
Is it possible to turn delicious, no-strings-attached fun into the kind of family I’ve always dreamed of? And even if it is … do I have the strength to trust him? Trusting You is the 3rd official standalone novel in the Walker Brothers Brewery series, and is a steamy, accidental pregnancy, small-town romance between a sexy bartender and the one woman worth changing his playboy ways.
Rachel Daily moved to the small town of Granite Springs to get away from her everything including her job. She decided to take a break from the hospitality industry to be a server at Walker’s Brewery. If you are familiar with this author, you know there is a series about the infamous Walker brothers. This is the first book I’ve read and I will be catching up with this wonderful family. I absolutely loved them.
Back to this wonderful book. Sammy Walker, the youngest Walker brother, has been treated as the youngest and has lived it up to the fullest with no commitments or responsibilities. Both Rach and Sammy have that in common. No relationships, just fun. Everything was going good until feelings started getting involved which is a huge NO for Rachel. She just ran away from a relationship and was not going to let anyone deter her from her plans to leave in a year.
Something happens that forces Sammy to grow up and makes Rachel really consider if leaving is the best idea. The story of Sammy and Rachel is so endearing. The Walker family is definitely full of love. I love the matriarch of the family, Jenna . She knows how to handle these boys. I am truly in love with this family.
I have to say I wasn’t sure about this book especially since Sammy is such a playboy and I wasn’t sure how he could grow-up and mature especially with looking at how mature and responsible his brothers are but this story gave him that opportunity. I give Sammy credit for letting the ladies that he spends time with know up front that it’s just for the night or whatever time they’re spending together and he’s not looking for a commitment. Rachel who works at the bar and Sammy have been watching each other but with what happened to Rachel in her past, she definitely doesn’t need to be starting something with Sammy especially when she’s on a timeline of staying in Granite Springs. However, these two decide to spend the night together and after the fact she finds out she’s going to have a baby. She’s perfectly fine with having the baby and being on her own as a single mother but when she tells Sammy the news and pretty much lets him off the hook for any responsibility or anything else, that definitely changes something in him. As you are reading the story you can see him step up and take more responsibility and make plans for the future for both him and at the bar and especially with Rachel and the upcoming baby. I love when he makes a comment that when Jenna, the matriarch of the family, finds out she’ll be on Team Sammy Gets the Girl. I appreciated how when he knows what happened in Rachel’s past that he tries to deal with her trust issues however when it’s time for the baby to come and she misinterprets a situation, Sammy gets upset and angry. However the two of them talk about the situation and Rachel admits she needs to be better on the trust issue with him and now they can work together with that going forward. My all time favorite part of this story is at the end with Eric and his surprise, that was a such a huge gesture that Sammy asked him to help out with that and he stepped up. I’m so looking forward to Eric’s upcoming book.
Reason #23748593 that #bookstagram is the greatest place! We would have never discovered the Walker brothers and fallen in love with Sammy and his family.
Rachel is new in town and has been working as a waitress at Walker’s Brewery and trying to stay away from super hot bartender/owner Sammy for the last two months. Until one night she gives in and starts a sexy love affair with the youngest Walker brother. He has a reputation around town but this playboy is totally worth the hype. And this was supposed to be temporary.
Normally the accidental pregnancy trope isn’t something we’d gravitate to but this one was pretty great. We get some no-strings romance to start and get to know each MC before the baby surprise. Rachel is not a damsel in distress, she’s smart, independent and ready to take on the new challenge this baby will bring. Sammy starts off as a man-child but he was misunderstood and just needed a push to mature a little bit. We especially loved the reaction from his family and their unwavering support. We are Rachel and Sammy stans.
Trusting You is part of the Walker Brothers Brewery series but each can be read on their own. Since Trusting You is the first that we’ve read, we have some catching up to do and we can’t wait! (You can find the series on Kindle Unlimited)
Many thanks to @chloejanebooks for the e-book ARC in exchange for our honest review. Trusting You comes out TODAY, March 15, 2023!
What we liked: ▪️Small town romance ▪️Dual POV ▪️Sammy! (It feels like after every romance we fall in with the a new book boyfriend) ▪️Tight knit Walker family ▪️A feel good & sexy story
This was my first book in the Walker brothers series and while I started off a little unsure I quickly fell for this family and for Rachel & Sammy’s story.
Sammy is the youngest Walker brother and has always been seen as just that by his family. A goofy, laid back, take nothing seriously playboy. Rachel is new in town and only planning to stay temporarily - taking a job at Walker’s Brewery where she meets bartender Sammy.
Sammy and Rachel have some eclectic chemistry right from the get go and once they give in it’s ignited even more. Sammy’s never been serious with a woman and Rachel is still guarded by some betrayal in her past so both of them are 100% in to the “no strings attached” relationship. Until they start catching feelings 😉
I know accidental pregnancy isn’t everyone’s favorite trope, but personally I’m a fan when it is done well. And Trusting You does it well.
While the book started as closed door, the spice level picked up throughout the book. I enjoy pretty much any level of spice romance, but the change did throw me off slightly.
I plan to catch up on the rest of the family and am looking forward to the last Walker brother book too, coming in May.
Definitely recommend checking out if you love small town, family romances. 💗

I just love The Walker Brothers Brewery Series SO MUCH!
Sammy is the youngest of the Walker brothers, and he’s kind of fallen into the little brother does the minimum because his older bros will always be there to fix or clean up his mess. Well they’ve been thinking that for so long that he’s like uh then I’ll live up to it. He’s the fun guy, he doesn’t do strings when it comes to women, he’s just there for a good time and to have a few laughs along the way!
Rachel is the newest waitress at the brewery and she has plans. She’s laying low in Granite Springs for about a year to make some money and to get a change of scenery and then she’ll be moving on! But Sammy’s insistent flirting and a bit of sexual frustration lands her in a position that she definitely wasn’t expecting, but she’s going to roll with it and keep to her plan!

Going into this book I was thinking come on Sammy, I know you can do it, I know you can be the man you’re meant to be!! The growth of Sammy throughout this book was so heartwarming, gah I loved it 🥰 I really enjoyed Rachel’s drive and passion for what she wanted to do in life. She knew she needed to take a break and she did it. She did what was best for herself, love to see that!!
Sammy and Rachel are literally THE cutest together!!
I would say that this is a standalone but definitely read best with the rest of the series
Trusting You is the fourth book in the Walker Brothers series and while I haven't read the first three, I found it easy to jump in and pick up the story and characters. I love when romance books follow a set of characters and have each book focus on a different person.
I did find that there was a lot of telling rather than showing in this book, a lot of the story takes place via the character's internal narration and thoughts about situations. One moment, in particular, is where we get told that Sammy and Rachel spend all night talking but there are no written scenes of this so there's nothing for the reader to connect to. I would've preferred it if conversations took place in real time rather than skipping over them and being told what happened.
There are also a lot of time jumps, the biggest one was 2 weeks and in that duration, Sammy apparently falls in love. The timeline also skipped a lot of the pregnancy plot and I just think there needed to be more on-page content, more conversations, more emotions, and more slow burn.
So I don't think the writing style was the best fit for me, but I enjoyed the general idea of the story and I think Eric and April's story sounds interesting!
*Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read an advanced copy. All opinions are my own and I was provided with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.*
This is the second book in the series that I have read (I started with #3. Now I have to go back and read #1 and #2). They are easy to pick up, even though I read them out of sequence. I like that in a series. I really liked Sammy and his easy going manor. He's totally likable from the beginning. He was never serious about things, especially the women in his life. As a result, nothing too serious was ever expected of him, personally or with the bar. Rachel, on the other hand, I found a little annoying. She didn't truly trust Sammy, given her previous relationship history. It was understandable, but I still found her insecurities some what tedious. I love the Walker family dynamics! What a loving and supportive family (I wish I had one like that! 😅). Boy that Jenna is really a force to be reckoned with. I especially like the way that Eric is really coming around and starting to "chill." Can't wait for his book! I voluntarily read and am reviewing an Advance Reader Cppy of this book.
Rachel and Sammy, a couple that started as a sex no strings attached broke the rules and developed feelings. Sammy who is the local loveable sexy guy who normally can just give the girls what she wants/needs in some good loving. Normally that works for him until Rachel, then he discovers its more. Rachel loves the things Sammy does to her. But when she gets pregnant and tells Sammy the news. She tells him they can co parent as the Sammy she sees is just fun-loving. Sammy has 9 months to change her mind and make her realize he is everything she could want and more. they certainly have some ups and downs, but Sammy grows up and Rachel who has major trust issues (rightly so) learns that Sammy only has eyes for her and their child. Great book very hard to put down and now I have to read the rest of the series.
I have never read anything by Chloe Jane before, OMG this was fantastic! This was the fourth book in the Walker Brother Brewery series. I have not read the previous books and found it easy to follow the storyline. Sammy is the youngest of the Walker brothers, he is always taking a girl upstairs to his apartment for a good time. Rachel is the newest sever at their brewery, who is trying to avoid Sammy's flirting. Rachel gives into Sammy's advances to a no strings, only sex hookup. But after two weeks Sammy develops feelings for Rachel. There are many ups and downs for Rachel and Sammy; as Rachel finds herself pregnant. Can Sammy and Rachel figure things out? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense characters. Can't wait to read more by Chloe Jane!
I had never heard of this series before but when I was offered an ARC I couldn't pass up the opportunity as the book sounded really good.
Sammy and Rachel's story is great. Love how their story played out. Great small town romance with just the right hint of spice. They had great chemistry. Rachel annoyed me a little with her trusting issues towards the end but definitely understand where she was coming from.
Loved all the Walker brothers especially the grumpy Eric so I will definitely be reading the first books in the series to catch up. I think it's definitely fine to read as a stand alone though.
I’ve got to be honest, the first couple chapters I struggled with Sammy. He needs something to make him step up in life and in love. Rachel Daily is that something for him. By the end of the book I definitely was a swooney fan of Sammy. He becomes the father and the man Rachel needs.
Rachel’s hesitancy to trust him is valid but each time he shows us he’s changed. I hurt for her because she knows he could hurt her like she’s been hurt before. He doesn’t though, He loves her with that intensity that says I’m not going to screw this up. This was a solid read!
This ARC was given by Chloe Jane in exchange for an honest review.
Holy smokes!!!!! I was not prepared to love this book nearly as much as I did. I honestly did not think I was going to like Sammy's character very much but he quickly became my absolute favorite of the Walker bros! Rachel and Sammy's love story was written so beautifully that it was impossible not to feel their emotions. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series but this book surpassed them all and set the bar very high for Eric's story.
I'm new to this author, so this is the 1st book in this series I've read, and I loved it !!! The build-up of the relationship between Sammy & Rachel ,the ultimate good time bachelor, was endearing and had me wanting more and had me rooting and wanting to read more so they got their hea . A great easy feel good read that left me with a warm fuzzy contented happy feeling. I can't wait for Eric and April's story ? And I shall definitely be reading more by this author, loved it xxxx
I enjoyed reading Sammy and Rachel’s book. However I wish we would have gotten a bit move of Rachel’s back story as I found it harder to connect with her character then I did with Sammy. So far my favourite book in the series is Needing you, I can’t wait to see what comes next.
This was my first venture into the Walker Brothers series. Not having read any of the other books, it was still easy for me to follow along. Rachel moved to the small town of Granite Springs with the intention of only staying for a year. Enter Sammy, the playboy Walker brother. Sammy doesn’t do relationships. He is all about having fun. Before hooking up, they promised each other it was just going to be a fun time. No strings attached. Unfortunately, a wrench was thrown into their plans, forcing them to change course. I loved how Sammy grew into a wonderful, responsible, and dependable guy.
I love small town romances and this one did not disappoint. It was sweet and funny with a whole of spice. I am definitely going to read the other books in the series. Thank you Chloe Jane for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.
I LOVE this series of books! This book... might have been my favorite... so far! The character growth between them is so well written. The way she has to learn to trust him after her past and he has to grow up. I am super excited for the next book, though!!
What a ride. I loved Sammy. It was refreshing to find a man who shows his vulnerable side. I enjoyed the family dynamics of the walker family. It was a great read. Diving into the back library.
What a sweet charming story. Full of love, laughter and kinship. Really enjoyed the story, loved all the characters, and yes, I adored Sammy, who wouldn’t right?! 😂
I said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE the Walker brothers!
Sammy is the youngest Walker brother, and the least mature of the bunch. He sleeps with any girl he gets the opportunity to, coasts through life, and does the least amount of work possible at the brewery. He’s not a bad guy, he just doesn’t take anything too seriously.
Rachel is the newest server at the Walker brewery. Her plan is to be in Granite Springs for one year, then go back to the city to pursue hospitality in a more elite atmosphere. All plans are changed when Rachel and Sammy strike up a friends with benefits relationship, and then ultimately get pregnant.
I loved the development and maturing of Sammy throughout the novel. He grows up right before the readers eye and becomes the man he is capable of being, while maintaining his charm and charisma. Jake is still my favorite Walker brother, but Sammy has become a close second.
Rachel is the most relatable of all the women we’ve followed in this series. She’s not perfect, and has a past that makes trusting others nearly impossible. I loved seeing her grow and become a wonderful mother to their baby.
