Some things are too good to be true but are worth fighting for to keep.
Jordan Knight had to fight to gain respect as a policewoman. Nothing ever came easy for a black woman carrying a badge. One precinct scandal and everything she had built came crashing down. A move to Columbia, South Carolina, allowed her to start over and be closer to her sister. Her career and family were her top priority.
There was no room for love.
She may know how to bring down the bad guys at work but was terrible at picking men in her personal life.
Until she met him. He was everything she didn’t know she needed in life. Older, a fierce protector with a dog as a partner, and a particular set of skills that left her addicted.
Divorced K9 officer Rhys Newman was taken by Jordan the moment he met her. He didn’t care about her past and knew he wanted her to be a part of his future. Rhys was determined to give Jordan the life she deserved, but his sexy little SWAT officer was too stubborn for her own good.
He wasn’t afraid of a little hard work. Jordan was completely worth it.
A dangerous assignment threatened Jordan and the entire SWAT team. Their training had prepared them for the war that had finally landed at their doorsteps.
Jordan must deal with her past to save the people she loves. She would stop at nothing to do that because her new life was worth fighting for.
USA TODAY Bestselling author Peyton Banks is the alter ego of a city girl who is a romantic at heart. Her mornings consist of coffee and daydreaming up the next steamy romance book ideas. She loves spinning romantic tales of hot alpha males and the women they love. She currently resides with her husband and children in Cleveland, Ohio.
Rhys and Jordan are super cute. When we catch up with them, they’ve secretly been dating for awhile. While Jordan doesn’t want mess things up, she is forced to come to terms with her past and present.
I liked this book a lot. The relationship between the MCs was swoon worthy and Jordan kicked butt. She did annoy me in the first half because she was being stubborn and not telling everyone what was going on. Also, I know there is an age gap but 45 is not 60. Sometimes (early in the book) it felt like Rhys was being portrayed as someone older than he was. I also loved how supportive Nova was. Sara Beth was annoying as ever although I thought she would’ve played a part in the conflict, since she didn’t, she kind of felt like an unnecessary character that we didn’t need.
The climax of the book was fantastic. It was so descriptive, I could visualize everything and feel the tension, a perfect showdown that had brewing the entire series.
It was pretty obvious throughout the book that we were setting up for a series on the K-9 unit and that was confirmed at then end of the book.
I wish the epilogue would’ve been farther into the future since it’s the end of the SWAT series. I’m sure they’ll pop up in the k9 books but it would’ve been nice to see all the SWAT member 1-2 years into future.
Jordan finally gets her book and it is fabulous. Jordan is the lone female member of the SWAT team and she’s black. She’s had to work hard for her position so she takes her job very seriously. She is in a relationship with Rhys an older K9 officer. They are keeping their relationship secret at Jordan’s request. The relationship isn’t the only secret that Jordan is keeping. She has to figure out how to come clean about a major event in her life. She fears losing the respect of her fellow SWAT team and of her man.
I really enjoyed this book. Jordan is a strong woman who has to learn to rely on others and let others take care of her. She has to learn to relinquish control and that doing so doesn’t diminish her strength in any way. Kudos to the author! I give this book 5 stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

One of my favorite authors. The end to a great series. Spoilers: mains already in a relationship at the beginning of the story. The relationship was ok, not as intense and intriguing as the previous books. Slow burner but spicy. Looking forward to the next series.

I had been waiting a long time for this book and it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Jordan and Rhys were both good characters, however I felt the story didn’t do their love story justice and the ending of the gang was a bit of a let down after the 7 book build up. Let’s start with the love story. There was a lot of context missing. We know that Rhys played a role in Jordan’s nephew rescue and now 1 year later they are together. How did that happen? A year is also a long time without telling her sister whom she’s supposed to be closed to. We also didn’t get any talk of future between Jordan and Rhys. They seem to live in a now bubble. Strange for people their age. It felt very superficial. As for the showdown with the gang, I felt that there was a lot more action in previous books. There was no strategy on the SWAT team side, they just showed up at the end. I also miss the team banter from previous books as well as scenes between Jordan and her sister. It was as if they had no friends nor did they do anything apart from working. Even the interactions with his daughter who sort of lived at home were limited. The final scene between Jordan and Mac was symptomatic. He ask to see her but in the end nothing was said.
I was really anticipating the conclusion of this series, however, it wasn't as good as the other books for me.
I like Jordan, and I like Rhys, but I didn't necessarily really like them together. I didn't like that we as the audience did not really get to see their relationship develop, which we saw with the other couples. I didn't like the sneaking around aspect.
When Jordan was introduced, there was never any indication that she left Atlanta for anything other than her sister, so for there all of a sudden to be this "new" Demon Lords connection angle was kind of far fetched for me. The continued trope of the FMC not telling anyone what happened because she can "handle it" herself. She NEVER does.
I love this author, and I absolutely loved this series as a whole. In my opinion, this was kind of anti-climatic in terms of the gang v SWAT.
I should note that I was a little more invested in Jordan and Honor more than Jordan and Rhys. 🤭🤭
Last note, this series is excellent, and if you like Police/Military, IR romance, this series is for you.
Dirty Ultimatum is just adventurous, thrilling, fabulous, addictive and sexy. Every time you think it’s going one way. Here comes something else.
This book is everything that it’s hyped up about and then some…I’m truly excited and totally enjoying this series. Although I was a tad bit sad to see THIS series end.
The chemistry between Jordan and Rhysis COMPLETELY fiya…buuut I’m TEAM HONOR and proud of it. I love the acceptance and the love and loyalty. And every now and then we all need to be sassy and strong… like her… you have to read the book to know what and whom I speak of.
I’m DEFINITELY looking forward to seeing the next series of K9 shenanigans…

I enjoyed reading this story. It was entertaining and captivating from beginning to end. The plot was well-paced, and the characters were well-developed. Jordan and Rhys were an adorable couple, and their relationship was adorable despite keeping their love affair a secret. Although Rhys was not a fan of keeping their love affair private, he agreed to do so to accommodate Jordan, who had her reasons for maintaining discretion.
I found the story to be entertaining and captivating from beginning to end. I especially liked the part where Jordan held a position that was not typical for women.

This book is really long. I read about 2/3 of it and took a long break from it (months) and just finished it. Even for a series conclusion it’s REALLY LONG. Too long honestly. I think it might have made sense to break it up into 2 parts minimum. The book is really 3 stories in one, 1. Jordan and Rhys’s romance, 2. Jordan’s History and exploration of what really brought her to Columbia other than her sister, 3. The final reckoning with the Demon Lords.
This is how I would have broken it up taking into consideration all of the other members got their own book specific to their relationship: 1. Jordan’s character expo and the romance with Rhys and 2. then the mission as an ensemble to finish off the gang could have been a separate book and the true series finale.
Did I think each of the 3 plots were good/ok - yeah they were fine - that’s why I would rate it over all 4/5⭐️- but for page management, division of story lines in a way that makes it a less daunting read at over 600pages is what knocks it down to 3/5⭐️
This was a great story about letting go of the past and forgiving yourself.
When Jordan came to Columbia SWAT, she had secrets and wasn't looking for love until she met K9 officer Rhys.
Danger was never far away in this story. I really enjoyed the romance between Rhys and Jordan and the procedural info that made the story interesting. The suspense was definitely there and made for several intense moments both professionally and personally for Jordan.
Very well done. I really enjoyed the whole experience reading this story and I enjoyed this author's writing. Easy read and gripping.
Great work!!.

Peyton I read all of the dirty, ultimate special weapons and tactics..This one is Jordan and Rhys love story is definitely one that’s worth reading. A younger woman, loving a older man who Police, special task force love is so pure and beautiful with protection He has proven over and over she made stupid mistakes, taking a risk of having his family compromise. But she bought to the end, but she had to remember she had him to have her back. That’s why it’s never cold when you are in situations like this don’t you keep a secret. Always be real with your partner never know when he can do to protect you..Rhys I hope we can read them getting married in infinite book No9

It was so nice to see Jordan get her happily ever after. Jordan has made her mark with the SWAT team, but she's always held back a part of her past from the team. Now, that part of her past is coming after her and her team. But, Jordan has Rhys and his canine partner Honor in her corner, and Rhys and Honor will always have Jordan's back. Great story! I'm looking forward to reading the upcoming stories about the other officers from the canine team!.

Jordan is a female cop that has had to fight for her rights on the job but when a scandal has her leaving and moving back to her hometown, she takes a job there with SWAT and starts again. She has bad luck when it comes to choosing men but when she meets Rhys sparks ignite between them. Will this time around be different, and will she finally get her chance for a real relationship that leads to happiness. Jordan had me cheering for her to get her chance in this story.

This is the first book in this series that I have read and I have enjoyed reading it very much. I loved the strong characters, the strong relationships and the wonderful connection between Jordan and Rhys. I loved how much Rhys had Jordan's back, the relationship they had with Nova and Honor and the banter Jordan had with her team mates. I enjoyed seeing these two together and was sad to say goodbye to them when I got to the end of their story.

I love stories featuring bada** women holding their own in a man's world and couldn't wait to dive in. Jordan is trying to earn the respect of her fellow SWAT members in a job that requires the full trust that the team will always have your back. However, when her past comes back to threaten her, she still tries to hide it and handle it on her own. Even her relationship with Rhys was a big secret. Both of these things were a big turn off for me and I had a hard time getting interested in the book. Once secrets are revealed, the story does pick up, but it it took too long to get there.
I’m sad that this is the last book for the SWAT series ,But I absolutely loved this book! Jordan and Rhys are HOT!!! The chemistry is off the charts. I love everything about this book, the closeness of the group, they are a family that would take a bullet for each other. You won’t be disappointed I promise. But I can’t believe that I won’t be reading MAC tell the group “SWAT,LETS HUNT! “ 😭😭 Peyton, I don’t want to say goodbye to my SWAT Family. But I love that everyone got their happily ever after ❤️❤️
Definitely a series you will want to read over & over
Loved it and ready for the K-9 series. Rhys sounded so sexy, and truthfully you want a man that’s matured, and protective. Whenever you talked about Honor I would just smile, I love reading about her as well. Jordan strength is undeniable also, truthfully I wanted her to beat the crap out of Bravon, especially to let him realize one he never broke her, two she was a strong women that never needed him, and three she did way better without, and has a much better man who has her back 24/7. Can’t wait for the next series.
I really enjoyed this book. I love this series. I love the characters , the story line and the ACTION. What more can I say about Peyton Banks. I've read ALL of her books. I loved Jordan and the fact that she was strong enough tell the people that loved her the truth the truth instead of giving in to her enemy. Rhys was the perfect man for her and we cannot forget his K9 that had a big personality that kept me laughing. This is a definite re-read . Soon
Jordan has finally gotten her happily ever after, and it was everything I was hoping for. Jordan and R really completed each other and I loved watching them grow together. The action and suspense in this book kept me glued until I finished. The finally battle between Swat and their enemies was epic. Overall I’m said to see this series end, but I can’t wait to see what’s next!!
This was a really good read. I liked the secondary characters such as Iker, Zain, Mac and even Honour the canine officer. Love interests Jordan and Rhys were absolutely made for each other and I'm glad they got their happy ending. For a great story, page-turning action and cracking love scenes read this book. I highly recommend it.

Why is Jordan so stubborn. Rhys is the one!! sigh!! The bantering, the relationships between members of SWAT is definitely about trust. So trust RHYS!! A hug and kiss couldn't hurt but can spark more fun. Any way suspense, action on more than one level a good read in this. She is his woman and Honor is the K9 that loves their human. loved it.

I have enjoyed this series. Of all the couples in the series, Rhys and Jordon are my favorite. If you are looking for protective and possessive MCs but with big hearts, this is the series for you. There is also a lot of action. Again, I highly recommend this series. Ms. Peyton Banks has become one of my favorite independent authors.
I enjoed reading about Columbia's SWAT team and their loves. Once Jordan agreed to openly acknowledge her and Rhys's relationship, they stood up for each other when needed. I loved when Rhys's and Honor came to Jordan's rescue in the show down with Bravon and the Demon Lords.
Jordan is the only female on her SWAT team and she is in a relationship with another police officer. She is keeping the relationship quiet after a failed previous relationship. Neither her boyfriend or her SWAT team know why she left her previous team, but her past is about to catch up with her.

I’m glad Jordon was able to get closure on a hurtful chapter of her life but I don’t think the storyline of her not telling her team, family or her man of the threat she was under rang true. Maybe I come from a different place but where I come from she would have told them what she was up against when she received the first threat from Bravon.
This was worth the wait, talk about an exciting end to a good azz series, but a spin off to come and will continue in Columbia 🤗. War has come, the past has raised its head, a love that surprises all, spicy sex 💥💋👅🔥😜. I read it in one day, couldn't put it down. It's an exciting read 😉.
There is nothing not to like about this book or any of the other books in this series. I have told all my reading buddies to read the SWAT series...especially the ones that live in Columbia, SC. I would read anything Ms. Banks write.
I enjoyed the SWAT series immensely. I was anticipating Jordan's book and was not disappointed. It was frustrating at first because she was acting so hardheaded and naive. It was out of character for her to be so reckless. It got better and I enjoyed it.
Jordan had me on pins and needles for this entire book. I must admit this book had me tearing up. The love between her and Rhys is so well received. I don't want to spoil anything but when S.W.A.T. needs to protect one of their own you better look out. S.W.A.T. let's hunt.
