In this debut collection, Joanne Griffin takes readers along as she raises animals, befriends animals and puts up with animals on her Midwest family farm. Told with wit and its wisdom from sixty plus years with horses, cows, chickens and more, her keen observations and indelible experiences reveal that there is but a hair’s breadth of difference between animals and humans. While her goal is to make you smile for a moment, these twenty-two stories will offer you new perceptiveness and undoubtedly leave you with a lasting longing to spend at least a day or two with her on the farm.
I absolutely laughed throughout this entire book. The author has a great imagination that brings some humorous human qualities to the animal population. Chapters "The Pecker Post" and "The Woodland Gazette" were especially delightful. We all need a laugh these days and Joanne delivers!
