Spending Christmas Eve stuck in a ditch was not how Winter Hayes hoped to pass the holiday. For the first time in years she actually had someone to celebrate with, and it led her to make a few very poor decisions. Like venturing into the mountains outside Moss Creek, Montana in her second-hand sedan. Turning the wheel a little too hard in a curve. Wearing cute booties instead of practical snow boots. Taking candy from the cowboy who showed up to save her. Colt Green isn’t just a blessed bearer of chocolate, he’s also kind, considerate— And sexy as hell. From his slow drawl to the way he fills out a pair of jeans, the man is way more dangerous than the treacherous roads that tried to ruin her night. Unfortunately, good looks and a nice ass won’t save Christmas. But Colt does have something else that might. A family.
Winter Takes All is a holiday-themed novella that takes place after the main events of Crossing the Line and before No Coming Back.
This is a sweet Christmas romance. Colt rescues Winter on the side of the mountain on Christmas Eve. They find themselves stranded in her aunt’s (who she doesn’t know personally) house when weather worsens and so begins the romance. There is abandonment, hope, family and love in this one and a great way to spend a cold night reading.
I read the entire series before realizing this was also smack dab in the middle. Winter & Colt are both adorable. Colt, of course a sexy and caring and helpful cowboy...winter is looking for a piece of her family that isn't like the other bad ones she has been forgotten and treated badly by. and along the way to finding her great aunt Gertrude, she gets stuck in the middle of nowhere and is saved by Colt. and the rest is history.
I loved the mention of Ben, Liza, Maryann Pace and all the favorites from this series. The perfect novella to match up with the great books I've read in this series by this author.
Another Great read of "Cowboys of Moss Creek" Series. I love all the characters and their stories. So So Sad to see it end. It would be great if J. Whiteaker could write a few more add ons to the series. Love, Love, Love the Series so thank you for sharing your wonderful imagination of this incredible Series. I will try some of your other Series and I'm sure they will be just as great!! Thanks, for such wonderful entertainment☺️😍
Winter never had a steady home life. She was abandoned at 16 with no family who wanted her. She left Billings to meet a great aunt she never met hoping she would finally have a family for Christmas. Unfortunately she gets stuck in the snow but she is rescued by Colt, a handsome cowboy. Colt had the opposite home life than Winter and he is determined to show her what family means.
Winter wants to find a relative that will like her just as she is. Driving up a mountain in a bad snowstorm is not a good idea. After her car goes off the road, she is found by a cowboy who takes care of her.
You MUST read this story, it will make you laugh and make you swoon, and doggone it, even if you can't stand the cold, you'll want to move to Moss Creek in the hopes of meeting your very own cowboy...wearing those darn hats....
I really enjoyed reading this book! Story was short but sweet! Characters were sweet but also heartfelt. Loved how Colt took care of Winter with such care! I'll take one Colt to go please!
Winter, the loner, and Colt, the kindest, make a great pair. Colt was also the most understanding and thoughtful of people. They made a cute couple right from the first meeting. Touching holiday read.
Winter has missed out on a lot in life, family walking away and throwing her away at 16. When she gets an invitation for Christmas from a great aunt she doesn't know she heads to Moss Creek where she finds family and the man of her dreams. Great story.
cute, good feeling to see kind and loving people acting the way they should, we need more of this in real life, I know, but one can hope . thank you. look forward to see more like this one.
Started by her car in a snowbank and then finding her cowboy as he rescued her with a candy bar sometimes it is ok to take candy from a cowboy. Wonderful story
Short but sweet story. Everyone needs to be reminded that they matter. Just as everyone should help their neighbors. Sometimes if you are lucky you meet the best people.
I truly enjoyed this book and getting to know Colt and Winter. They were a very sweet and cute couple and I loved meeting aunt Gertrude and seeing some of our people from past books once again.
