The respawning soul has fractured, losing itself entirely to the unavoidable madness caused by its torturous existence that never ends. However, in its delirium, it presses on, continuing to climb the dungeon – not in the body of a monster anymore, but rather in that of the mysterious anti-hero – the Lancer, who had died so many aeons ago.
Fighting onward against the hero-party and the raging dungeon, both of which put in their strongest efforts to stop the lost soul from escaping the dungeon, it follows the guidance of the mysterious voice in its head, Guy.
The fragility of its spiritual existence has come to make itself seen as a rambling, insane monster possessing the body of what was once a great hero screams from the depths of the bowels of the world with a cry that claws towards the ever-closer surface. Lost to the insanity of its tormented mind, the nameless soul sets everything on an all or nothing gambit to escape the dungeon once and for all, before the last shred of its humanity vanishes into the hungering void, deep below the world.
Will the lost soul escape the dungeon? Why have all of these events come into play to stop it from doing so? Can there ever be peace again for a mind as tormented as this, or is the endeavor itself already doomed to failure as there is nothing left of it that can escape to begin with?
