Looking for an escape and a distraction from her recent breakup, Heather Upton arrives in idyllic Penworth Bay and is immediately drawn into the heart of Elsie’s Cornish Bay Bakery.
With the cobbles beneath her feet and the sea breeze in her hair, she learns to put the past behind her and focus on the future.
When a chance encounter leads to a friendship with kind-hearted conservationist Gus and they get to know each other, Heather begins to question whether there’s a possibility of anything more.
As their relationship deepens, will a chance discovery and a reminder of the past jeopardise the love they find for each other?
Can Heather and Gus’s newfound romance withstand the interference from her ex? Or will past feelings return?
Return to Penworth Bay and be welcomed with open arms back into Elsie’s bakery family, the close-knit community of the bay, and catch up with old friends. Follow Heather as she experiences the highs and lows of moving on…
I love these books and enjoy binge reading a few, so good job I've got several to read to get me up to date.
The Cornish Bay Bakery at Penworth Bay is a bakery like no other, it's owner, Elsie has worked a system that, alongside her regular staff she has a volunteer for a month or so. The volunteer can be from anywhere, anyone needing a break from everyday life or needing a change. In fact, some of her regular staff are ex volunteers, and, indeed, most of her volunteers have stayed in the Bay, having started relationships with people they meet there.
If you like romance books, then this is the series for you! All the books are standalone stories, and can be read in any order, but are best read in the order they were published.
In this book, Heather needs a break. She's got her own company designing websites, but having recently broken up with her ex, she decides to volunteer at the bakery. She meets Gus, who works at the local nature reserve, but are things too good to be true?
Another amazing book about The Cornish Bakery. I have read all 15 books about the Cornish Bakery and loved every one of them. I can’t wait for book 16 to come out. All the books are different but have the same meaning family doesn’t have to be blood. It’s the people that care about you that matters. And bring in a wonderful place with love that matters. I can’t wait for book 16
Lacked depth and word variety. Annoying in parts but everyone was so very nice but to be honest a bit lacking in description. Glad I didn't pay for it and perfect for a sick afternoon.
I cannot believe I have read 15 books about the Cornish Bakery Family. Just a chance pick on the list and I was hooked. I can thoroughly recommend you read them, in order or they won’t be as good. Thank you Sarah Hope x
I love being back in Elsie's bakery this time its Heather who needs a break after her boyfriend dumps her via voicemail. She meets Gus who is also coming out of a relationship after his ex broke up with him. It's a quick read and escapism from life.
So disappointed in this book, it was full of typo errors and spelling mistakes, I think there were errors on each page had definitely not been proof read.
Every bakery book never fails to make me smile 😃. This latest is no exception. I love the bakery family and the bay. I wanted to be there while I was reading this
A lovely story as usual but it was very short. I'd love for the read to be longer and with some unexpected events. The typos were frustrating proof reading should be vital.
I love this series! The stories are a joy to read, the people are real and the seaside is perfect. I always smile when I finish reading, always a happy ending.
