This was an amazing last segment to the World of the Stone Maze trilogy.
I admit, I read it way slower than the rest of the series. You knew that t was the last and dragged my feet.
The way the author crafts and builds this world and it’s inhabitants amazes me.
I felt all the feels. Sorrow, anguish, giddiness, embarrassment, and contentment. I don’t trust any author with my beloved characters. I’m like a mother hen and don’t want the creator of the characters to ruin them! (Yes we know it sounds crazy!)
This author worried me with the way things transpired. I was angry and left feeling betrayed. I continued on, however, and it was like the pieces fit into a puzzle I didn’t even know I was working.
This book doesn’t give you want you want… it gives you what you need.
Then the author gives us the Epilogue. It felt right. It felt like things wasn’t just roses & chocolates, but it had a plan to get there.
This was an epic journey and I fell in love with the trip. The characters are flawed. The magic isn’t something shiny to be played with. The monsters are horrid, but makes you feel an ounce of sympathy for their existence.
This isn’t your typical fantasy/hero book. Everyone is important in this journey. Shane Lee delivered an Epic ending to a story that I have loved from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Shane's worldbuilding, backstory, and characters continue to surprise me. How can I love and hate a character so much at the same time? Wait... make that three characters.

In this conclusion to the World of the Stone Maze trilogy, everything comes together with an epic battle. Jost and his party fight for all of humanity against the evil and intangible powers that have plagued humanity for centuries. They barely scrape by to reign in the power, and by the end we're wondering if anyone has even survived.

We see new areas within and beyond the labyrinth. We revisit some characters and meet new ones. We question what it is that makes us human, and what values we hold as a community.

Not to mention, killer battle scenes and intense imagery.

A satisfying wrap up to Jost's story, leaving no questions or loose threads. Fantastic epic dark fantasy series. Can't wait to see what Shane Lee comes up with next!

“All history is blood, and it will cost more blood to move onward.” -Payte

Whisper was everything I needed out of the last book in this trilogy, and more. Did I spend a good amount of time having to put my kindle down to panic? YES. Did I scream at my kindle and blow up their messages at all hours? ALSO YES. Do I regret any of it? NOT FOR ONE SECOND!

There was so much happening and the suspense throughout this last piece of the story was intense, but so worth the wait and the excitement! The moments between characters (Atell/Jost and Cam/[redacted]) were so sweet it hit deeper when events occurred or they ventured to different places🥰 I’m so incredibly happy with this entire series and can’t wait to have them all on my shelf! This adventure is well worth the time and the intense reactions (maybe it’s just me) and I 100% recommend The World of the Stone Maze!

I’ve been anxiously awaiting book 3 of the Stone Maze since I finished book 2, and it did not disappoint! There was action, terror, mystery, monsters and more monsters.
It was so cool to get all the answers to the questions raised in the first 2 books. Watching the characters relationships develop and the bravery they showcased as they fought for their world was so satisfying.
The ending was absolutely epic! At the same time, it left me a little sad to see the story end. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author.
