Life-long bachelor and wolf-shifter, Rex Piccolo figured he’d stay single for the rest of his life. He had his club. He had his daughter. He had his bike. What more did he need?
Veterinarian, Jolene Hendrickson, was happy with being single. She didn’t need a man to fill space. Until she found one who could give her what she needed, she was fine with being alone.
After a random knock on her door and an odd request from a biker, Jolene’s world was about to be changed in more ways than one.
Rex was a dominant male, but he was blindsided when Jolene awoke a side of him that he didn’t realize existed. With her, he was eager to see where it would take them. Who knew he would get a kick out of being tied up?
When her mate was dropped off at her door, beaten and bloody, Jolene pulled forth skills she had long since buried. The people responsible were about to find out just who she really was.
And the world was about to find out that it wasn’t the shifters who were the real monsters.

Each time I read a new Howlers book, I swear I find my newest favorite pairing. Rex and Doc are easily one of my favorites that you have written. I loved everything about them. Their whole dynamic was such a huge difference from others that it was a perfect balance to the other Howler Couples. Rex may take top spot for my Howler Book Boyfriends.
The spice level was taken up a knotch in this book as well. Doc has very specific tastes, and Rex explores them with ease.
I couldn't put this one down. The chemistry with Doc and Rex was electric from the start. The side plots in this one, which kept up with the Howlers timline and story, provided some insight but still kept them as the back ground plot. They also are what will lead up to the next book. I do want to note, If you've read Tiger's Claw MC, the adjacent series, this book is a little behind but not by much, I'd say a few months in the overall world timeline.
I love that we got to see more of Top, Mama Hen, and Emerson. They have been there in so many books so we've seen them develop and for them to play a bigger role was really exciting. I adore Mama Hen.
I also just have to say this was probably one of my favorites. I have really enjoyed seeing T.S.'s writing style grows with the series, and each book just gets better and better. They are one of my favorite Authors for a reason.
This is book 8 in The Howlers MC Series. Rex is an older member of the club and still hasn’t found his mate. After a devastating event he needs help for his family and turns to Jolene (Doc) to help. That’s all it takes for Rex to realize Doc is his mate. If you like shifters, tattoos, muscled, hot bikers. And strong independent women. This is the book for you. You really should read the whole series
I have read all the other books in this series and loved the story's progression and plot. I liked that both characters were older since you don't see that too much, at least in the stories I have been reading.
However, I ended the book confused because there was no explanation of Doc's backstory. It's mentioned multiple times but everyone is just fine with her saying you don't need to know after she goes after the hunters. Also, I'm not usually a big fan of reading Femme Dommes only because the relationships usually come off as very one-sided.
This one was kinda middle of the road for me compared to the other ones in the series but I look forward to more.
I just have to say I loved every book like so much but this one was not my favorite the FMC was a dominant that’s great and all but she never let up even out in public to me there relationship was not equal at all and she didn’t really show much care or respect to his club and Family - once he mates her she refused their tradition because its there wedding night also? I mean some couples mated after traumatic events and followed that tradition they loved it! But not her it’s like she seemed to be above it all and Rex should follow her lead in absolutely everything. Honestly not a fan of this book was a huge disappointment to me I will keep reading the series because I love it but I wish i never read this one, I wanted something better for Rex he was one of favorites. Doc’s whole personality rubbed me the wrong way but that’s my preference everyone enjoys different things but if you don’t like the FMC to be overly dominant and unfriendly I would not read this.
Rex and Jolene's journey to happily ever after is so realistic- despite being set in a paranormal world! I particularly enjoyed how T.S. wrote Jolene's introduction to shifters - it felt so authentic.
The power play in the relationship was a lot of fun. It was enjoyable to see a relationship that explored but where both parties are grown enough in themselves that there is only acceptance. Add in Rex's love of puns and being a great dad and the attraction writes itself!
This is my first experience in the Howler’s MC series, and at book 8 I could have felt lost in the world. This was not the case, though I’m sure a reading of the earlier books would only improve my enjoyment.
With plenty of spice, great dialogue and some nice twists, Rex’s Release was an enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to going back and reading the series from the beginning.
I seriously cannot get enough of these Howler's and their mates. The fact that the plot continues through each of the books makes them so very good. I seriously couldn't put it down once I started reading. Rex is one of the older members of the Howler's MC and never thought he would ever find his one and that was fine with him. Then in walks the new vet in town and his outlook changes completely. Jolene is new to town and is a vet who accidentally finds out about who exactly some of the Howler's members are. I do have to say the chemistry between Rex and Doc from the moment they met was hot. You seriously need to find this book especially to find out what Doc is hiding because I was shocked myself. I seriously can't recommend this series enough.
Oh how I love this book. A sassy vet and a wolf shifter. What could go wrong. When things are already at their worst and everyone is trying to recover, Doc is brought in to help a brother out. Only humans have no clue there are others among them. When she begins to work on an injured tiger. Well lets just say things get interesting. Things begin to spiral. Some for the better and some for the worst. Though there are secret that some people keep that in the end might no be so bad. There is also a group of people who have set to terrorize and murder others even if they are innocent. This book has some hilarious moments and the ending just makes you want more.
I love this book. 10/10 just from the spicy scenes. Who wouldn’t want a badass to take control. It’s awesome.
Rex’s Release by T.S Tappin is part of The Howler’s MC. This is the very first book I’ve read in this series and it’s actually a very pleasing read! It made me smile when Rex who thought he would never find a mate, suddenly bam guess who he finds?
I loved reading the interaction between Rex and Jolene! The chemistry is fire between the two of them. It was great watching Rex go from, I don’t need a mate, it’s ok to the polar opposite. I was a fan of all the little surprises riddled within the chapters. I would recommend this book, I think I need to check out the other books in the series!
This is Rex and Docs story she is a new vet in town and is recruited to come help Bullet while in tiger form when he is hurt after Battle. Doc is a very dominant woman who likes things her way but Rex is happy to let her take charge. Doc has some secrets from her past and Rex and the rest of the Howlers have danger lurking all around. Rex is taken by Hunters and beaten pretty badly then Doc pulls out some skills and gets her revenge for her mate. Once she has him back and healed she decides to let him make her his!
She's done it...AGAIN. T.S. Tappin has written another fun, funny, punny, and ridiculously hot, sexy, MC shifter story. Rex is gonna have you sit up and beg for more, but only after Doc has given him permission. This has been one of my favorite tails (😉) of the Howlers, Doc is a surprise and a delight and I cannot wait to see what sort of shenanigans she gets up to with the rest of the Ol Ladies.
Rex's Release is one of my favourite Howler's books in this series. I like that the characters are a little older and yet still learn new things about themselves. The dynamics in this relationship had me giggling. The puns- omg- are so funny. If you want steam, a great story and female character that kicks ass and a man who is confident enough to fulfill her needs, then this is the book for you.
This story in the series is one of the best so far. Always a fondness for Rex and to find his mate later in life just makes it perfect. Doc with her big brain tries to come to terms with what she is finding out when Rex is taken and she has to resort to her past life to help him. Lots of humor, dominance and love in this story.
I have to admit this is the first time I have read this kind of situation. But it's done so tasteful. I'm totally impressed. And the story line is perfect yes this series is just getting better and better. You should buy them all and binge oh yeah. Snooki Stackhouse eat your heart out the hollers have you beat.
I'm enjoying this series and how it can make you laugh, cry, etc. It has romance, humor, and a club of shifters and humans who would do anything to protect their family and town. I highly recommend this series to everyone who likes Paranormal, romance, etc.
This story flips some roles and I'm here for it! Rex has met his match with Doc and she plays by her own rules. And fyi...don't mess with what belongs to Doc. She doesn't like it.
Note: I received this book as an ARC. These opinions are completely representative of my thoughts on the book and are in no way influenced by any outside sources.
I am typically more into dominant men than I am into dominant women, but this book really hit the mark. I like that the focus was on the relationship and less outside drama. I also liked that it's back down to less POVs.
