John: The Word Incarnate, Volume 1

Luther called the book of John “the unique, tender, genuine, chief Gospel.” It is an excellent introduction to Christianity and a treasure to believers—a beautiful place to meet Christ. In John 1–10, Jesus calls his disciples to follow him and has meaningful, life-giving encounters that are not recorded in the other gospels.

I love the idea for this series, and this book was great. Our men’s group used this as we studied the Gospel of John together, and while we didn’t rely on Nielson, it was nice to have his study questions help guide and stimulate our group discussion.
