I thought that my biggest problem was a curse that turned me into a golden retriever instead of a wolf.
Then I accidentally took on a second curse that bound my fate to that of the world’s. If I die, everyone else goes down in flames too. Ragnarök is now in my hands.
Great. Talk about pressure I don’t need.
Did I mention everyone trying to kill me?
My mate. My brothers. My mother. What a clusterfluck.
Add in Loki, Freya, and a host of the Norse pantheon to the mix, each one trying to manipulate me to follow their own plans, and you’ve got a recipe for chaos.
What’s a girl to do?
Find a new path that no one expects, and run straight into the arms of disaster.
Or as some might call it….straight into the arms of Havoc.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.
I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)
Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.
I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)
As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.
Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.
Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.
This book picks up right where Golden left off and throws Cin straight into chaos. The tone is sharp and funny, but the stakes feel real. The Norse mythology twist works, and Cin’s curse gets even more complicated in the best way.
She’s not just surviving now-she’s fighting back. It’s fast, weird, and somehow still emotional. If you liked Golden, you’ll fly through this
cliffhangers in incomplete series should be illegal!! wHAT do you MEAN book three's release date isn't set yet. ;____;;
Back to the actual book I just finished. In less than 12 hours, mind you. Started it before bed, took a break be unconscious for a few hours, and then finished it during my work break lol.
This had me by the throat. Claws and teeth sunk in, not budging, and I could NOT stop reading.
Pacing was quick; there's a nice balance between world building, mild relationship shit, smut, and the stakes are at an all time high. There's a bunch of action scenes, witty bits, and admirable sentiments. I was following along with the Norse mythology nicely (though I did take a couple Scandinavian courses in undergrad so I do have background knowledge, but I don't think anything here was too out of pocket for someone unfamiliar with these myths).
I would kill for some Havoc POV chapters. I need to know what's in that hunky shifter's head.
The climax/ending few chapters was a little clunky, the chaos is high, and not as strong as I would've liked but I still enjoyed the journey!
Oh @hijinksink … why you gotta end a book like that?!??
Let’s set the stage … Glitter, book two in the Golden Wolf series brings us Cin, female alpha wolf shifter turned cursed golden retriever. This girl has attitude and fierceness and despite every obstacle, she tackles them with confidence and skill and I LOVE HER!!
Plus there’s Han, rejected mate and all around skeevy dude. Havoc, sorta maybe bond of some sort, all around grump and alpha hotness. Oh and an awful mother, some terrible brothers, a feisty sidekick, Norse Gods, a sun/moon curse, and the threat of Ragnorak …
Yeah @hijinksink knows how to pack in a book!! Talk about edge of my seat for the ENTIRE ride. Also, the steam came out to play!! Seriously, I love me some love/hate vibes and Cin and Havoc have that in spades!
But that ending … here I was hoping for a duet, but NO!! Ermmm any chance book three will be ready next week?? (4.5⭐️)
This is a perfect blend of shifters, Norse mythology and utter craziness (in the best possible way!!) I laughed so hard throughout this book. I mean there’s some heartbreaking and heartwarming moments too but it was hilarious.
Cin is the best FMC! She’s resilient, hardcore, resourceful, extremely funny and has survival skills for days!!!!!! She refuses to be forced to do anything she doesn’t want to. And the escapes she made (or tried to...) were freaking brilliant!!!! She’s put in an extremely difficult situation, with very few of the facts. As in she has to stop Ragnorak. Against so many She’s one of my favourite FMCs! This is not a love story, as such, but there is a MMC. And no spoilers but this man is worth the wait of the two books... think Norse wolf shifter... with SKILLS!!
One thing I absolutely adored about this book was the friendships and found family. Cin has had to leave her pack and make it alone. When she is cursed into being a golden retriever (not a spoiler - it's in the blurb), she meets BeBe, a fearless tabby cat who is a human that has also been cursed. She is fantastic! Her quips and comments, plus the way she hounds people who are a possible threat is just perfection! Add in a sneaky appearance by Jörmungandr (because what Norse mythology retelling isn't complete without the serpant who can wrap around the world?!) who by the way is surprisingly a wonderful and choatic addition to this tale!
This is a book that does not let up in pace. It's off at the beginning and it just goes! The twists, the reveals! All amazing. And when you don't think it can get any crazier, the last 30% of this book is insane! In the BEST way!!!!!! Highly recommend and the best bit? Book 1 is out now and book 2 is out September 1!
I’m in love with a cat. There, I said it. Don’t tell my dog, though she would understand if she ever met Bebe the cat. Everyone needs someone like Bebe in their lives. She’s the friend that sticks with you when life falls apart, or when a Norse god-wolf-prince is trying to kill you.
The mythology gets even deeper in this book. These gods are incredibly invested in this reality show where Cin fights for her life, and it results in some entertaining interference as they try to manipulate the ending to their liking.
“Chaos, thy name is Loki.”
There’s also more spice in this book, and it was absolute perfection. 🔥🥵🫠 I need my own Havoc. Actually, if I could just borrow Cin’s life for a bit, I’d be happy - though I could do without the goldie curse and the nonstop murder attenpts.
Get ready for a moderate cliffhanger. Im desperate for book 3, but unfortunately Shannon is going to make me exercise some patience. 😭
Glitter offers a wonderfully original and quirky perspective on Norse gods and mythology, showcasing chaos across different worlds. At the center of the story is a character caught in the games of these deities, and another who has been deeply affected and broken by her family, which leaves her capable of more than she realizes. Shannon writes with a boundless creativity that you won’t want to change.
This brilliant tale takes us on a journey with Cin, who finds herself in the most unlikely situations. It’s hard not to feel as if you are running alongside her every step of the way. With elements of magic, mates, demons, werewolves, ghouls, and more, this story has everything you could possibly want. All you need to do is grab a bottle of wine and find a quiet place to immerse yourself in Shannon's fantastic writing. I can’t wait for the next book!
This one hit all of my favorite things that I love in a book. It was funny, found family, action packed and some spicy scenes. I love Cin and Bebe and the bond that they both have. Glitter kept me on the edge of my seat many times, and I gasped so many times scaring my husband. LOL I enjoyed the Norse mythology in the book and appreciated how some of it was explained. I cannot wait to see what happens next. The ending was, OMG. Can’t wait to get my next fix!
Thanks so much to @bookofmatchesmedia and @shannonmayerauthor for gifting a copy of the book for the review tour.
{𝐌𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒} This series is so fun! In this second installment in the Golden Wolf series, our MC Cin is still cursed, but she’s making headway in figuring out how to break it. Sort of. Things get even more complicated when she inadvertently acquires yet another curse, where her fate is bound with the fate of the world. The gods and goddesses are all using Cin as their puppet, and she’s going to need all the strength she can get to finally be from from not just curses, but everyone around her who uses her as a tool.
Everything about this second book was fantastic, from the character growth to the action scenes to the steamy romance. I love the progression of Cin and Havoc’s relationship. I also love the world and the Norse mythology tied in with the Little Mermaid fairytale, it’s all so unique. The ending will have even the strongest of readers clamoring for the next one, and I for one will be waiting not so patiently for it. 4 stars. Pick this series up if you like: ➽ Magic and curses ➽ Norse mythology ➽ Witty banter ➽ Slow-burn romance ➽ Werewolves ➽ Forced proximity ➽ Touch her and 💀 ➽ Secret identity ➽ Fairytale retellings/The Little Mermaid ➽ Morally grey characters
Shut the front door! I have been DYING for this book to come out. I ARCed Golden last December and I was so honored to ARC for Glitter. Can I say it’s better than the first book? I feel like that’s always so hard to do. But Ms. Mayer has out done herself on this one! I SMASHED this book in a day! Took me a hot minute to be able to write my review (life with Irish twins) but here I am finally! I just can’t get enough of this cast of characters. I ADORE each and every one of them! Cin is so vivacious, you can’t help but love her! And Havoc… oh yesssss. Yet again, Shannon leaves us on a cliffy and now I’m dying once more for book 3.
Currently at 43%. Seriously don’t know why I’m putting myself through this. I’m punishing myself to read this. I am so annoyed with things such as: in book 1 Cin dashes home to save her sister. She says she’d rather not go home but it’s not a big deal. Cut to book 2 and she’ll do anything (including running away) to avoid going home to where her brother? raped her. (Which previously just came across as threat of rape not actual rape - another thing that suddenly changes in book 2). And that’s another thing. Where’s the trigger warning?! I thought all authors did trigger warnings these days?! In book 1 the evil warlock is just a slutty guy… in book 2 suddenly he’s Loki. So who is the bint he’s married to that cursed Cin?! The stupid mate bond thing. First she can’t feel anything beyond ‘knowing’, then she can trace him and find out when he’s having sex (what on earth?! SO weird), then she can dull/bury the bond, then she can see the bond and break bits of it off, but then it can never be broken, but wait! Maybe it can be transferred to someone else. Omg. NOPE. I like me a permanent mate bond that actually MEANS something. It’s like the Author wrote about the bond then the characters didn’t go where she wanted them to and instead of editing out the bond she just left it in and tried to write around it. This is just another reason for me to put this tripe down and walk away. Heck. Run away.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
2. I like the idea of the book. And it does kind of have crack fanfic vibes, which I love to see. But, the execution leaves much to be desired.
The pacing is off. Somehow nothing happened in this book (just a lot of chasing one another.). The scene changes are extremely abrupt. The character interactions are also a bit too shallow. All the characters are a bit shallow, I feel no emotional connection to any of them and don’t care too much about if someone dies or not. I feel like the book was written/planned through the big events/plot-points and the filler between the events and the scene building is completely lacking. It makes it not that great to read.
This book started out miserably with Cin in shackles, beaten and about to die in mere hours from her curse. I guess the only good I found in it was that we learned that Bebe is a true friend. The previous book was rather miserable in my eyes. I like reading fated mate books because the strong males always need to protect and provide for their mate. That’s the draw. But not Cin’s mate. He just wants to torture and kill her, just like her family. Cin has a few friends, but they are more or less powerless to help her and one of them betrayed her. What was confusing in the beginning of this book is that it did NOT take up where the previous one ended. Cin and Havoc were in each other’s arms, about ready to end her curse and save the world. Then, the first chapter of this book, she’s kidnapped, beaten, and told that Havoc was cut into pieces by her brother. What the hell? I am not sure I like Shannon Mayer’s story telling style. It is just pure misery to me. Not good for my blood pressure. Chapter 2 clears up the mystery but also reveals that the twisted evil witch’s husband that Cin’s mother slept with, the same man that Bebe had sex with, the one who saved Cin from death but who took her voice and cursed her with death in 3 days unless she had carnal knowledge with a prince, was none other than Loki himself. But it was never revealed previously. Cin just stated it as if we all knew it all along. Then, when Havoc was ready to just DO her, her actual mate, Han, along with her brothers rammed their car into them sending her into the river where they dragged her out and whisked her away to some place owned by Han who took off to deal with his brother. I wanted to stop reading but gritted my teeth and read on, hoping that something wonderful would happen to Cin at some point making her life worth living. But of course, it had to get worse, Once I got past the first book and the first part of this book, I found some relief from my misery and actually enjoyed it, even with a dreaded cliff hanger.
Cin is back in Glitter and if you thought that things were rough in book one...well, brace yourself because author Shannon Mayer has brought that havoc and more to book two. Cin is on the run for her life. I mean, what's a girl to do when one guy wants her dead immediately and the other will settle for later? Well, you run, look for allies who'll have your back...I mean like really really have your back, and try to save alive. Because now your life is tied to the rest of the world and if you die...well, pop goes the weasel! Sounds like fun, right? Ha! Unless your Cin. But what's this? A new player in the game? And he's deliciously hot aaand knows how to lay it down? OMG! Cue the fans, cold drinks and so much more. Yeah, you may need some you time after this book. LOL! Too much? Eh, to each their own. LOL! It appears that there will never be a book with this author that is not going to leave you raging at the end. Yes, we get another wild cliffhanger after you devour this book that will leave you screaming "What happens next?!" I must admit that not every author can so seamlessly blend together Norse mythology with a modern-day storyline, but this author blows my mind with her capability of doing exactly that. This book is seriously vying to be my favorite series of hers by far. It's tied for first place, but we'll see if my other fave can hang in there. LOL! If you're not reading this series you are absolutely missing out on a real good time and a fantastic cast of dynamic characters. Grab this book/series and dive in! I can't wait for what happens next! 5 out of 5 stars hands down.
Single POV but I would kill for a look inside Havocs head. However, Bebe is still my absolute favorite. I had such a fun time with book 2 though I definitely maybe cussed Shannon out when I got to the end. I love that the supernatural/mythology aspects are based on Norse mythology since that isn’t as common in books like these (at least not that I’ve read so far). Cin is such a BA and the grief she gives Havoc was cracking me up. I finished this way too quickly because now I’m already NEEDING book 3.
This was a fun romp! If you approach this book as the wild ride it is, you will have a good time. It’s no literary masterpiece but it’s an easy, entertaining read. It does get a bit monotonous in that the FMC is running from everyone, gets captured, miraculously escapes, then gets caught again by someone else over and over until the book finally figures out where it wants to go. It felt very similar to the first book where the plot doesn’t really go anywhere until the final 5 chapters. But the story is just interesting enough to keep you wanting to know what happens next.
Most of the characters are too one dimensional with no development or defined motives to really feel connected to them. And the world building is confusing. We’ve got the Norse pantheon mixed in with vampires and werewolves but no idea why or how. Perhaps that will all be explained in the final book. The romance is just lust between the FMC and MMC but the lack of any kind of emotional connection makes it uninteresting. The sex scenes are few and just kind of meh. If the spice was better, the meandering plot could be overlooked as simply porn with plot but both plot and spice were lacking.
The FMC’s nonchalant sass and badass attitude toward everything is so overdone in urban paranormal romances it’s annoying. Not sure why authors keep using this personality when it’s not believable. But I did truly love the FMC’s sidekick cat Bebe. She was funny and pretty much the only character of real interest. While I enjoyed the girl friendships and girl power throughout, it felt shallow.
There are so many characters introduced who seemingly don’t matter and whose personalities are so similar that I had a hard time differentiating between them and found myself flipping back several chapters to try to remember who was who.
It felt like the whole story was being decided by a roll of the dice. Characters swap sides suddenly, plans are set up and come to nothing, we go on an endless roadtrip. Talking snakes, TikTok goddesses, FMC somehow knows how to operate and steal a helicopter, like I get not wanting to be predictable but this read like a fever dream!
Overall, I’m invested enough to buy the final book when it comes out to see how everything resolves but this is like the reality tv of fantasy series. It’s just calories for fun not for nutrition.
Meh... a little too dark, twisted for me. Her first series I read was fun, action packed and somewhat light hearted ,funny too! But this series not so much. I don't think I will be reading anymore in this series. I started a preview of another series of this author and once again just a little too dark for me.
Well, for me there was a pretty significant amount of time (and books that have been read) in between the time of reading the first book in this series and then reading this book (Book 2). But honestly, it did not take long for everything to come back to me, and I was just as caught up in this story line as I was with the first book.
Without going into spoilers, the main female protagonist - Cin - is/was a werewolf. She comes from an amazingly awful, terrible, psychotic, sadistic (are you getting the hint yet?) family/pack and she has a truly brutal childhood. Cin was tortured non-stop by her family, deeply hated by her mother and eventually left for dead as her brothers shot her full of silver bullets and threw her in a river. She should have died.
Then, if that wasn't bad enough, after SOMEHOW being rescued and managing not to die, she is cursed to turn into a golden retriever each and every day (or night...I actually can't remember that right now) spending half of each day as a golden and the other half as a human. There could not be a more humiliating experience for a female alpha werewolf. Anyway, that is all from the first book, which does a great job of setting up and building this new world and introducing us to the characters in it.
The secondary characters are truly what bring this story up to this level - which is an extremely intriguing, interesting, drama and action filled story that sucks you in immediately and has you rooting for the underdog, or should I say...the under-golden-retriever?
This book begins to finally explain some of the things that we were finally beginning to learn near the end of the first book. There are all kinds of things going on with several different groups involved. There is the Norse Pantheon - with two brothers - Han and Havoc -who are destined and well, required to kill her. Why? Well, that's another really long story but it has to do with the moon and the sun and an ancient prophecy....
Add to this the fact that one of these brothers trying to kill her is her mate....Yep...lots going on. And that is just one group trying to kill her. Remember her awful, awful family? Yep, they're not happy to find out she didn't die.
Again, one of the highlights of this storyline is the depiction of the secondary characters - in other words, Cin's friends. Bebe take's the prize as the Number One Awesome Best Friend. She also happens to be a cat. (yep, she was also cursed and is really a human in the body of a cat) but boy oh boy is she funny. Really, really funny. (and loyal). There are also all kinds of characters from the mythological pantheon that begin to insert themselves and Cin is trying to figure out friend from foe.
Throughout this book, Cin is trying to figure out how to stay alive and decides that maybe instead of running away, she needs to flip the playing field and go on offense. Did I mention before that she really is a pretty bad a** person, whether she is in her human form or even in her golden form. She has amazing skills and she definitely impressed me.
In the meantime, there is the "forbidden" love trope (or is it "enemies to lovers" trope? Hmmmm?) that REALLY becomes interesting. There were definitely some "sexy times" with someone that was definitely not supposed to be "sexy times", but boy did it end up surprising them .......fun, fun, fun :)
This book also ends on a type of cliffhanger, but not as bad as the first book (well, from what I remember of the end of the first book) It does answer several things that were left open at the end of book 1, and it REALLY did move the story arc much farther along, but we end up having MANY more questions that the new situations have brought up if we're being honest.
I listened to most of this on audio and Amy Landon did another good job at the narration. I especially liked her portrayal of Bebe's character. It's not easy to figure out how you want to portray an intensely loyal, but very brave kitty cat with a fairly dirty mouth and a ton of really funny one liners......
MY suggestion to anyone who has not yet read the first book in this series is to go and find book 1, then get ready to be entertained and have moments of unexpected laughter while you follow along with some pretty zany characters (specifically Cin, Bebe, Denna, and Martin) who have more decency and courage in their little toes than half of the other characters in this land. You will not be disappointed.
Then, you will end up having to wait for the next book - Book 3.
If you're patience level is anything like mine, we can tap our feet impatiently as we wait together.
Cin can’t catch a break she was running from her life in book #1 and she's still running. Though she’s found a few allies as she’s trying to break these curses on her. Can I just say that Havoc sounds hot! He’s part of the prophecy like Han is but he’s trying to help her still. This is a norse retelling with Loki and his kids - he’s got some interesting kids if you know the tales. Love the humor you gave Jörmungandr. He sounds like he would be fun so I can see that. Google pictures of him if you don’t believe me or look up Midgard serpent. The prophecy of Rangarok is getting closer and everyone is just being controlled by someone else. The chapter titles are still hilarious . My favorite being “Is that a snake, or are you happy to see me?” Ok the other ones were a little too xx for me to add to my post. IG wouldn’t let me post my post last night cause I broke some rule and took my post down. So I am trying to be good. “Trying” If you like tropes this one has quite a few check them out below. You definitely need to read book 1 though you might be able to pick up what is happening since its been awhile since I read book 1 and I eased right back into it. Though that ending, damn dude! May be a spoiler but I love a hunt, I need more.

Thank you to BOMM and Shannon Mayer for an ARC of this book!
First off -- didn't see how this could get more epic than the first. Clearly, I was wrong on all accounts. I have never been glad to be so wrong -- but yep. This book ramped up the tension to a whole other level.
Cin is doing her very best to not die (by many hands) and she and Bebe make such an awesome team. I absolutely adore the tension between Havoc and Cin -- it was steamy and it was intense.
Then you have Cin dealing with her family matters, and I felt that was some of the best part of the book. I really enjoyed those moments, especially watching Cin come to love herself.
There was a lot going on in this book in terms of plot as well, lots of different moving pieces, and some surprise characters that had me !!! in the book.
It was a hilarious book, filled with both comedy and a bit of darkness. And that cliffhanger? Don't know how I am going to survive until the next book, because WOW.
I have waited many moons for this follow up from the first! And it did not disappoint!!
Shannon never fails to make each story action packed, hilarious, super steamy, and then she just sucker punches you with a crazy cliffhanger. 🤣 I LOVE IT!!
This book has more everything. More humor, more smut, more friend goals, more betrayal - ALL THE MORES!!
I loved the Nordic lore and different types of gods we learned about. And I will NEVER tire of the mighty Cin being a golden retriever in a wolf world. 💀 it’s just the most hysterical and precious situation.
Havoc definitely grew on me too in this book even more. Hellooooooo those scenes were hot! He’s all the best kind of morally gray shades. 😎
I am so excited to find out what else happens!! I’m glad a certain someone FINALLY got what they deserved, but now I need other big bads to suffer. I can’t wait to find out!! 👀
Thank you so much for this arc!! These are my honest and slightly feral thoughts! 🤸♀️
Ohh woow, the way this was sooo intense, the whole book!! I was hooked and reeled in from the start, this book delivered and did not disappoint!
I loved every second of it, ohh my gossh! I am still in shock at everything that happened, this was so good. Cin is seriously such an incredible character, Havoc 🥵 need I say more?
Bebe continues to be the absolute MVP!! The shock that it was with the other cat scene, I was not expecting that. The spicy scenes had me drooling, my, my!! The sarcasm, the witty moments are always my absolute favorite, the not knowing who to trust, what is happening, who is good, who isn’t? That freaking CLIFFHANGER!!! Ahhh so good!
This was such a great book! Thank you so much to Shannon Mayer for the ARC.
This book was so good I love the different characters, friendships, and relationships throughout the book. Especially a certain Norse Pantheon Prince! This is the second book in the series and it’s just getting better.
This has a perfect mix of mythology, plot, characters you just love, spice, and twists. The FMC Cin is amazing I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, especially after that ending!
Glitter was even better than Golden and I absolutely loved Golden! The story just has you riveted from start to finish with nonstop action. We’ve got Norse Gods, two prince brothers fighting on different sides of the world ending Ragnarok with Cin in the center of it all holding the sun, pack bonds, mate bonds, found family, plus some spicy spicy! What a great second installment to this series!
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quantity of spice: 🌶️🌶️ Quality of spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
It’s tough to give a summary of this book without giving away spoilers since it is the second in series, but it does start out a little fast forwarded from where Golden left off.. and then goes back in time to cover the gap. Poor Cin is taking shit from all sides but thankfully she’s got Bebe and Denna (sometimes) backing her up. The dialogue was hilarious, the spice was much hotter in this book, and the action was actioning!
The narrator was once again incredible with her variations in character voices! I literally cannot wait for Gossamer with the way this ended!!!!
Another Bright Addition To This Series! This book definitely solidified my all-around respect and aww for Cin's resilience . Love Bebe even more after this book. Still loving how you co-mingled Norse mythology with Shifters in this series overall. Lots of on edge moments and just and all-around awesome read. Can't wait to see what's next in this Series.
If I had to describe this book with one word, it would be chaos! Shifters, Norse mythology, utter chaos. And I loved every minute of it! The steam, the banter, literally all of it. But... why must you end the book that way?! I'm dying to find out what happens next!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. No second-book slump here! This builds on the story and adds so many layers. I'm glad I don't have to wait for the final book. Will be diving right in. Audio is fantastic, and I highly recommend that.
