Olivia's Goodreads account is pretty slim. Look for Alanna Coca's Account (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... see what she's reading. To keep Goodreads reader-oriented, Olivia does not leave ratings on books she's read, nor does she comment on reviews, but she appreciates each and every reader who invests time in her work.

Olivia Brynn is the very saucy alter ego of romance author Alanna Coca. Olivia was the one who lured Alanna into trouble as a child. She also would have been the one to get her mouth washed out with soap. Since controlling Olivia wasn't as easy as she thought, Alanna decided to set her alter ego free with Olivia's first book, For a Price, a story about one woman's journey to sell her virginity. Other books followed, earning five-star reviews and bestselling status. Alanna realized what fun Olivia had writing sexy romances without censor.

Olivia writes contemporary erotic romance near a window where the view of the Rocky Mountains beckons her to run naked through the tall foothill grasses. Except when it snows.

I really wanted to love this one. I loved the premise, but the execution was weak.

The hero runs into a flower shop when he meets the heroine. The heroine has no idea that the hero is a major rock star. He likes the fact that the heroine does not know who he is. From there, the story begins.

Dual POVs. The story became bland. The little drama was weak and predictable.

I absolutely adored this book!! A lovely and sweet LOVE STORY!!!!
 photo images3_zps95703aa6.jpg
It’s a well-paced story of a country singer superstar, photo LAntebellum-040110-0003_zps0e7d4964.jpg tired of the debauch life he has led, who meets a sweet and smart (she has a degree in something like botany!!) owner of a florist shop, photo 1605-3-flower-shop-free_zpsaf367b61.jpg who has no clue of who he is (totally understandable…she has been away somewhere in the forests of South America, working with plants and flowers..of course!!!).
He’s of course, totally smitten by this natural, sweet and beautiful woman, the first who treats him “normally”. So, he decides to keep his true identity secret…loved all the running around he did to make sure of that…yes, he’s going to tell her soon…but he loves that she likes him for the real him and not the superstar!!!

Totally endearing moments.

I loved Adam and Jade. They were so endearing and engaging that you could not help but like them. I thought the character development was done pretty well, despite this being a short story. I liked seeing the progression of their relationship – it didn’t feel rushed. It was slow and sweet..oh did I forget to say it was HOT as well. Wow, the heat between the two ….EXPLOSIVE and SEXY!!! Jade is no shy violet!!!! And neither is Adam….when they get together…..totally fabulouslicious!!!!!
How could Jade resist him….inviting her to a picnic, a trip on his boat…
 photo tumblr_mjfzmltkrW1s7lccgo1_250_zps080f6385.gif
One thing that felt a bit out of place….the DOM scene!! I thought it made no sense, didn’t feel part of the story!!!
Liked the secondary characters – Adam’s driver/bodyguard, Jade’s gay best friend……
There’s no dark and tortured characters, no great angst in this story and that’s what made it so refreshing for me.

Just two nice people who meet and fall in love, with a few hitches along the way..but nothing major.
If you want a feel good romantic love story, get this book!!!!

Adam Nash has the whole world at his feet, but because of his reputation as a party hard country and western rock star, the tabloids have a field day with him. Some days he wishes he could just be Adam Herlihey and walk around without the fear of being attacked by fans or the paparazzi. It’s bad enough he forgets important dates, and because of that, he now has to rush and buy birthday flowers for his much beloved assistant, who keeps him in line. He finds a quaint little flower shop and expects the employees to fall all over him as soon as he enters.

Adam is in for a surprise because the woman behind the counter has no clue who he is. Jade Graham runs Earth Scents along with her best friend and roommate Dean. Jade and Dean both studied plant science at Berkley and spent the last six years in Columbia studying and collecting rare plants to develop in the states. Adam is somewhat relieved that Jade is clueless. He quickly becomes smitten with the florist and asks her out to dinner, which she accepts but with caution.

Because Adam can have whatever he wants, when he wants it, he’s able to romance Jade without the press breathing down his neck. He wants to keep his identity a secret from Jade as long as he can because with Jade he can relax and feel normal. Soon their short romance becomes intense, and Adam invites Jade away for a weekend on his boat, with the sole purpose of seducing her. But the guilt and fear eats away at him because he’s certain that when Jade finds his true identity, she’ll feel betrayed and treat him like all the other women who fall at his feet because of his fame and fortune.

Falling Star is a sweet and sexy romance with a very down-to-earth woman, who falls for the man behind the spotlight. Adam loves his life and everything he’s worked for, but he longs for a few moments of peace a time when he can forget all the gossip and rumors about him that the public loves. He’s stunned when he meets Jade because she isn’t one of his adoring fans and he can be anybody with her because she has no expectations.

Jade is wary of Adam at first, but soon their passions collide and they can’t keep from loving one another. Their love scenes are very hot, heavy and occur very quickly and suddenly. This quick pace of their relationship and how fast they act on their attraction did jolt me out of the story. I found everything happening too fast and would have preferred a bit more courtship on Adam’s part and more wariness from Jade, especially when she decides to go off on a whirlwind long weekend on Adam’s boat, regardless of the fact that she knows he’s keeping secrets and not being truthful about his identity.

Olivia Brynn does handle Adam’s internal conflicts pretty well and Jade’s reaction is one you would expect when she finds out the truth about Adam. Even with my issues about the sudden explosion of passion between Jade and Adam, Falling Star is an adorable, fairy tale like romance.

Short read with a decent story. This story probably would have been a 3½★ read for me if Adam didn't suddenly start acting like a Dom during sex at 75% into the story. I understand that BDSM is the new "it" thing in fiction but it was totally unwarranted in this story. Other than that, I liked Adam and Olivia as characters. They were rather sweet and endearing.

A sweet short novel about a huge country music star (Adam Nash) falling for an ordinary girl (Jade Graham). A lot of the fun in the early part, was in Adam’s increasingly complicated measures to ensure that Jade doesn’t find out his identity. In reality, he’s a massively famous musician with a well publicised history or women, drinks and drugs, but to Jade he’s just a hot guy that wandered into her florist business one day.

“I… uh, need some flowers.” Great Adam. Mr. Suave superstar with a brilliant opening line.

She may have bought his CD’s, but she completely failed to recognise him.

“How do you know I’m buying them for a woman?” He raised an eyebrow in that sexy way video directors loved.
Her smile faltered for only a second. “I’m… sorry, I didn’t mean to assume.” She covered his fingers on the counter with her soft hand, and gave them a quick pat. “Does your boyfriend have a favourite flower?”

And this throws Adam. He’s used to being mobbed on the street. Even while he buys flowers for his secretary, his bodyguard / driver waits at the door to fend off the fans. When he calls her a few days later to invite her for dinner, she doesn’t even remember him at first.

Hadn’t he wondered what it would be like to walk into a public place and be treated like every other Joe Schmoe off the street? Well, here it was, and now he couldn’t actually decide whether he liked it or not.

He finally persuades her to join him for dinner, but Jade is cautious. She’s had bad dates before and has an excellent system for handling them.

Ever since meeting Dean she’d had to excuse herself from her date in order to text him the address where she was, a freakiness rating between one and ten, a turn-on rating, and any request to be rescued. Jade’s last nightmare date was four months ago, and her “1543 Central Ave, 10, 0, omg please!” text brought Dean to the movie theatre with an affected jealous rage. Everyone should have a friend like Dean Chambers.

Adam takes her to dinner, to a picnic (where they almost get mobbed) and eases his way into her life. All without giving her his real name or his occupation – claiming to work in the entertainment industry. Her imagination runs riot. Porn star. Stunt man. Out of work actor. He lives in fear of someone telling her the truth.

“Adam? I think… I just figured out what you do for a living.”
“You did?” His tone turned empty.
“Yes. I recognize it in your voice.” She pulled her comforter over her shoulders, and snuggled deep into the plush bedding. The rain still beat a hypnotic rhythm on the roof, and she yawned.
“You do?”
“She heard the anguish, and smiled sleepily. “Mm hm. You’re one of those phone-sex men.”

But the truth has to come out eventually. He whisks her away to his boat for the weekend and promises her best friend Dean, that he’ll tell her. He ties himself in agonised knots. Will she dump him? Will she be thrilled? Embarrassed? Horrified? Can he bear it if she dumps him?

“At first I thought you were unemployed, or you had some job you were embarrassed about.” She shook her head. “But this… this is kind of a big deal.”

This is a light and enjoyable short novel, a good weekend or afternoon sunshine / pool / beach read. The sex scenes are hot and Adam sounds delicious. There are nice secondary characters in gay-best-friend Dean and his boyfriend, but overall I’ll only rate this 4 out of 5. When things go wrong, as inevitably they must, I was disappointed that everything got resolved so quickly, but apart from that I loved it.

This was a pretty good read! Super hot with great characters! I loved the banter between Jade and her gay bestie Dean! Hilarious! :) Adam was a super hot bad boy rock star who realized he needed to grow the eff up and change his ways. Luckily for him he met a super sweet, smart woman (Jade) who didn't even know who he was! Not sure the likelihood of anybody loving an artists music but not recognizing them in person, but this is fiction so.... It was a good story nonetheless and the supporting characters were great! I'd love to read a story about Dean changing his 'boy toy' ways! :)

Well what the heck?? I'm reading, enjoying the story and then suddenly I'm on the About the Author page. Where did the end go?? Is there more coming, or is that really it? Really disappointing when the story was good. There were a few flaws to the book that you had to ask where the heck did that come from, but overall a decent read, but because of that ending, there is no way to rate it higher than 3 stars.

Well the story was cute, but probably not something I will be able to remember next month.
I felt that the execution was weak and with rather "flat" characters.

Adam Nash is famous country star with a naughty reputation. He's been kicked out of hotels, been with too many girls, and lately has been drinking too much.
Little does Jade know that the handsome stranger walking into her small florist shop, is the notorious Adam Nash. The fact that she seems to have no clue who he is intrigues Adam. Not only that, but her beauty entraps him.
Adam will do whatever it takes to make sure Jade is clueless to his stardom, but how long can he keep up this charade?

I loved this story! Jade and Adam are so adorable! In the first couple of pages we hear about Adams notorious reputation: the drinking, the women, and his habit of getting kicked out of hotel rooms. He seemed like a total BAD BOY! Yet it was hard to believe he was that kind of guy given how he acted when he was with Jade. He seemed like a totally different man. Which I guess in his case is a good thing. If he kept up his little bad boy act then his career would spiral down the toilet.

Jade is a normal gal which I really liked. She wasn't anything special but she wasn't boring. I do have to say in the beginning she was willing to put a lot of faith in Adam. He was super sketchy with details on his profession, purposely evading questions and it seemed odd that she was totally fine with it and went on a weekend trip with him on his boat only after knowing him for a couple of days...STRANGER DANGER!

Good thing her best friend knew who Adam Nash was and didn't tackle her to keep her from going (which I could have so seen Dean doing to protect her).

There was this one instance where he did a complete 180 and I had to pause real quick and flip back through the pages to see if it was a different person because it seemed so out of character & was so unexpected! During the more intimate moments he was very sweet and caring and in one scene he switched without warning and was acting like a Dom. Jade was even surprised when this happened! I've read books with a Dom in it and it's been totally fine but in my opinion it didn't seem to fit his personality.

I was super excited to read more about their story or even Dean's story but she hasn't written a book 2 in the series! It's been four years since the first story and the mini epilogue she wrote (#1.5) and there's not a for sure publishing date on book #2. (it said it was going to come out in 2013 but hasn't? or at least I can't find it anywhere.) So not so sure how I like the big gaps and unsure dates on this series. It was a good book and I would've liked to continue the series /:

I recommends this well paced story of a country star & a small town florist (:

With the number of bad books you have to weed your way through to find the gems, I'm thankful for the crappy books that lead me to books like this one. What I like most of all, I finding these rare gems in all that mess that is being "published" as "books" these days. The voice of Olivia Brynn is such a gem. This being the second book I've read of hers, I'm firmly placed in her fanbase and I'll be looking up her books again. With two out of two books sliding straight into my favorite shelf, I'm willing to say she's a safe bet when looking for a book to make you feel good. Being the alter ego of Alanna Coca, I'm sure I'll find more gems under that pen name.

Now to the book. Adam and Jade make me happy. I love that Jade is down to earth, "normal" woman. It makes it easy for any reader to connect with her and see themselves in her shoes. And I love that Adam, even with his big star country singer status, has a million and one insecurities, and isn't afraid to tell Jade about them.

Many may complain about the fact that Adam holds back his fame status from Jade for so long. But I get why he does it. In order for Jade to get to know him and not the superstar, he doesn't give away his identity. And Jades reactions and how she deals with it are also perfectly normal when a huge secret like this is revealed.

It wouldn't be a book with a good plot if there wasn't at least one hiccup in the way of their ever after. You'll have to read the book to find out what that is.

My two big complaints about this one, are the way the story is left off open ended. I did not like that. I might feel better if there is a second book in the Jade and Adam story (Dean can have his story in book 3). The second complaint is that it was much too short.

Falling Star by Olivia Brynn

This was a good romantic story with some hot and steamy scenes but not in my opinion erotica. It was well written and the story moved well through all 10 chapters.

Haven’t we all wondered at one time or another, what we would do if we ran across a rich and famous star in our daily lives. How would we react? Squeal and jump up and down? Ask for an autograph? A date? To father your first born? None of the above?

Jade is the owner of a flower shop and a down to earth girl. A little out of touch with the glitzy stars so it’s no wonder she doesn’t recognize Adam…well from Adam.

Adam is the country music superstar who’s been in the tabloids a bit too much but he’s determined to clean up his act.

Adam’s chance encounter with Jade and her not recognizing him gives him the opportunity to really shine. No past to show Adam in a bad light and he’s loving it but he’s going to have to come clean at some point because he’s falling for her. The length’s he goes to appear the average guy is really funny and endearing.

I will be looking at more of Ms. Brynn’s stories.

This book was good. Had all the ingredients of a "feel good read". Bad Boy rocker slips into a flower shop to buy flowers for a birthday he forgot and meets sweet flower shop owner. Immediate attraction...tries to pull off the "don't let on that I'm a rock star millionaire." This works for a while. Plenty of ups and downs. Finally he has to come clean and let her know who he is. But by this time her heart is too invested, but her brain doesn't know this yet. When she finally decides to give this relationship a go, she has no clue what she's in for. The entertainment industry is brutal. The paparazzi are relentless. And this is where the rollercoaster ride begins. This is a short read folks, you can read it in one sitting. There are plenty of can't put it down moments. Adam Nash is pretty hot guys! And he says all the right things. Give it a go, I recommend it. I give it 4 stars!

Good story and engaging characters, with some interesting issues to get a handle on. Love that music star concept and there was a really hot scene in a hallway that was well worth a look. I do like a bit of steam in my romance.

I really thought hard about if I should give this one a three or a four stars.

I liked the book but didn't love it. It was a good book and kept me reading to the end but there wasn't quite enought struggle for the hero. He changed and had turned over a new leaf even before he met the love of his life. I just like my heros to struggle a little more in the whole turning their lives around. So another dollop of anxt wouldn't have gone astray.

Probably won't read this one again but still worthy of a once over - 3 stars.

Better than I expected (and I expected I would like it a lot) so this is a really entertaining book. Not a particularly meaningful or lingeringly emotional story, but very good for a rainy afternoon. The normal book cliches of "famous stars" romance books were thankfully avoided here, which I found refreshing, but others may be disappointed. If you picked it up expecting one of those kind of stories you may not be completely happy, but it is worth reading anyway. I think anyone who enjoys romance novels will enjoy this one, although it probably won't be life-changing.

2.75 Stars. Fizzling Star....

The story was cute, but just lacked backbone to me. Not one I will remember a few more books from now.

Btw- the Dom scene was just so OUT OF LEFT FIELD! I truly got queasy and thought, Oh God- this is the stories conflict... He's a psycho wife beater! I was relived to be wrong, but uncomfortable with the scene. I'm fine with Dom stuff, it was just so bizarrely thrown in this story that it left me scratching my head.

I have read so many good "rock star" romances this summer, and this ranks way up there on my good list. I read it in one day, and didn't want to put it down. It was sweet, nothing too angsty, but it was meaty enough and sigh-worthy enough to make me REALLY enjoy it. Similar to Blindsided (with the band) which I also loved.

If you prefer endings with more details of how the couple manage in the future then you will not be satisfied with this story. It is very sweet love story but I felt that it ended too soon or perhaps too easily. I was left thinking "that's it?" Otherwise, it is a sweet romance (with some steamy scenes of course) and a light easy read.

After reading the free sample I was not going to purchase this book. However, it appears to be a freebie right now so I got it.
I have the feeling that I'll skim through it rather than read it... Let see if it get better...or not...

SO I finished it. I guess it was ok. Nothing to really talk about. He changed for her, instant love and all that...

Fun and short read.

I think the story pacing was fast but it did not let out any details. I just wished that I could have seen their wedding.

I love the H/H chemistry.

Short but sweet story. It's funny that I just stumbled on this book and rather enjoyed it well.

This is the second time I have read this story, and I enjoyed as much as the first time. The story itself is sweet, with a few hot moments and two really likable main characters in Jade and Adam and there is no angst or heaviness in the storyline and is certainly worth a read.

I liked the characters and the story. I usually don't like to read books with less than 300 pages because you don't get a lot of time to learn about the characters. This book definitely could have been longer.

I will go back to my book selection protocol. A book has to have more than 300 pages.
