Alessia Working in the shadows is impossible when someone is watching your every move, and I don’t mean my adoring and not-so-adoring fans. I might not have followed my brothers’ footsteps in joining the military, but I’m not the helpless supermodel they, and the rest of the world, know me to be. Their meddling into my life with misguided good intentions has put me in more danger, not less. What they don’t understand is the deadliest member of the Accardi family is the one nobody suspects. Now I need to figure out how to keep my secret from the one man I don’t want to lie to, so I can do the job I was born to.
Brody There’s more to Lessia Accardi than anyone’s been led to believe. As I spend time with her, protecting her, getting to know her, I quickly realize she might be crazier—and scarier—than any obsessed fan out there. The more I see behind Alessia’s public sexy mask, the more questions I have. I’m going to figure out what she’s up to—that is, if I can keep her safe and out of trouble long enough. She can protest all she wants about not being a damsel in distress, but real life doesn’t guarantee the good guys live, and one thing I learned in the military is everyone needs someone to watch their back. It all comes down to whether she will trust me enough to let me see the woman behind the façade, and if I’m enough to keep her safe.
Lethal Beauty is the first book in the Accardi Tactical series.
This suspenseful (romantic) story had a great badass heroine who I liked a lot.
Unfortunately (for me) the Accardi siblings overshadowed the hero, Brody. The romance between Alessia and Brody was inadequate. It could have been more developed and cover more pages, instead of mainly focusing on Alessia’s life and extraordinary activities.
I will definitely read the next part in the series!

Lethal Beauty - Accardi Tactical Book 1, by K.C. Ramsey adventurous emotional tense medium-paced * Plot- or character-driven? Character * Strong character development? It's complicated * Loveable characters? Yes * Diverse cast of characters? No * Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated 4.75 ⭐️
Alessia Accardi is a gorgeous highly sought-after world famous supermodel. But there is more to this beauty than meets the eye. She is keeping a secret from the whole world, and especially from her tight, close knit group of four overbearing and overprotective older brothers. She wanted to follow in their footsteps and serve her country by joining the military, something she was unable to do, but they don't know that she is more capable and deadly than they could ever imagine. While her modeling career allows her to gain access to places most people wouldn't be able to in order to do her real job, it also makes her job more difficult at times being in the spotlight everywhere she goes.
When her brothers assign her a more competent and capable bodyguard than she is used to having, she has to be careful not to let the mask she so carefully keeps in place slip, and inadvertently give him more clues that she is so much more than she seems, but Brody McCallister isn't that easily fooled. But is that what she really wants? Or is she willing to let him see the real Alessia, the one that not even her brothers know, and let him into not only her life, but also her heart?
I received this book as a gift from the author and this is my honest review.
This is the first book in the Accardi Tactical books and K.C. Ramsey’s debut novel and what a great debut novel it is! I really enjoyed getting to know Alessia and the life that she managed to hide so well from her brothers. She really is badass and it really was empowering to read a book with such a strong female character. Her development throughout the book is gradual and I did like the fact that she grew to realise that sometimes you have to let those closest to you in. Her brothers intrigue me and I hope that we will get to learn more about each of them as the series goes on. The romance with Brody and Alessia I feel was slightly rushed and the smut factor that I was told about when looking into doing this review was far less than what I was lead to believe and I know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but it definitely gave a smutty vibe that I found it lacked which is why I gave the book 4.75⭐️.
I did however thoroughly enjoy this book and I will pick up the rest of the series when they come out!

This book was fantastic! It was well written and interesting and held my attention the entire time. It had an amazing kick ass female main character, a great story-line, great characters, and a bit of romance. We get to see Alessia go from not letting anyone into her private life and being capable of handling herself to eventually relying on and trusting the people around her not to keep her safe, but to see the real her, the one that she so desperately wants to be able to share with those closest to her.
This is the first in the series and I can't wait to read the rest of the books and follow everyone else's stories! If you are a fan of drama, mystery, intrigue and suspense with a dash of romance mixed in, then I highly recommend this book! It sucked me in from the very first page and didn't let go until I finished the last page!
I received this book as a gift from the author and this is my honest review.
📸🎭Oh my god! How can they be so loving and don't know simple details about their lives like "if they're married" "if they freaking graduated"?! Gideon doesn't even know his daughter was raised fully by her sister, her teenage sister. I hope they actually do something about all those suffering Alessia went from. 📸🎭Alessia is my fantasy character. I always thought you have more arsenal as a women to all these snoopy jobs. Knife on heels, lipstick pendrive, secret makeup space and so many. That's right there. 📸🎭They're amazing. Alessia and Matteo's tactics are amazing. They are so freaking skilled. More capable thn any man in this book which I appreciate. Because you hardly see that. So many people write badass women in condescending ways that it actually hurts. 📸🎭 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa can I just say how happy I am that Alessia didn't need any rescuing there? 📸🎭How could they end it without resolving their family issues properly? It just brushed out all the negligence and discrimination Alessia endured all her life. I thought after that heartfelt moment between the siblings things will be different. That they'll at least confront their father. But how dare they still berate her? They were not even ready to give her a chance to work with them. They still think her incapable. That was just sad and the only thing I didn't like in this book. I wish her brothers could have seen how badass Alessia actually is😔

Lessia is one of those strong, resilient, and smart FMCs. She’s trying to get out from under the thumbs of her older brothers and the only way to do it is to live one fake life out in the open and her true self is hidden in shadow. She lies and manipulates her brothers in order to live her secret life. I don’t really admire her for that. I don’t like the unreasonably overprotective older siblings trope. I don’t admire an FMC who continually lies to live her life. I mean, they’re all adults and living on their own. Her brothers are misogynists. And I wanted her to stand up to that.
Brody suspected for the start that there’s more to Lessia than the supermodel face everyone sees. He keeps that in mind with every interaction. He treats her like she’s smart, asks revealing questions and doesn’t treat her like her brothers do. He’s willing to wait for her to trust him with her secret.
This is slow burn and the chemistry is a bit lukewarm. Brody gives her time to trust him, doesn’t push her. He seems almost a bit too calm to be an alpha male. But he’s also very even tempered, which is something Lessia needs. He made no assumptions about her.
There’s a soft 3rd act breakup. The ending is more HFN rather than HEA. I imagine we’ll see more of this couple in future books.
Strong FMC Personal Security Officer Model/Assassin Multiple POV Protective brothers Family business
If you love a book with mystery, suspense, and a little romance thrown in, then this book is for you!
Alessia is a badass in this story. Totally underestimated and misunderstood by her family. She takes her life in her own hands when is doubted by her father and turns her career into what she wants it to be. This book is mainly based around her character development. How and why she's made her life choices. Her dynamic within the family and how they view her. How she navigates being well known in the spotlight. Where her place lies within the family business, Accardi Tactical.
I really enjoyed this book. A lot different than my normal reads. The twists and turns sucked me in. The lifestyle everyone had as a whole was so interesting. Seeing a FMC who held her own was so awesome.
I think the only thing I was missing was a little more development between Alessia and her personal security officer. Being a romance addict I felt like their relationship was a tad rushed. Even so, this story is so well worth the read and will keep you engaged throughout the entirety of it. I will most certainly be picking up book 2 when it releases in December.
This book has it all!! Drama, mystery, angst, sibling rivalry, family secrets, and the perfect amount of heat will pull you in and have you absolutely hooked! K.C. Ramsey does a phenomenal job of revealing her characters secrets a little at a time like slowly unwrapping a perfect Christmas present! You will love some, hate some, want to be some, and definitely want more of all of them! I can’t wait for the rest of this series!!
Outside if a great story and characters there are lazy editing errors that should have been caught by the author’s proofreader. Missing words from sentences, misspelling etc, hence the 4 stars. Key points mentioned in the story gave the reader clues to what will happen in the chapters, so no suspense to keep the reader guessing. This author is good but needs a better proofreader!
What a great start (to what I hope is an awesome series). Loved the twists and turns. I absolutely am amazed with Alessia, her beauty brains and complete bada**ery! The humor as well as the seriousness of the characters were well written! Can't wait for the next book!
This story put me through the wringer and it was hard to put down. The twists and turns along with the emotional pool the author creates left me wanting more stories of this family. I want more involving Alessia and Brody "on the job". We can't leave Matteo out, either! More Accardi Tactical please!
