To be absolutely honest, I didn’t read all the installments of the Samantha Jamison’s series because at some point I lost track of how many were part of it. However, I really enjoyed the ones I purchased.
This thirteenth book has everything I look for in a good mystery: intriguing characters, comic situations, an eye-catching cover and an enthralling narrative.
Peggy A. Edelheit, as with the previous stories, pulled off refreshingly surprising this die-hard murder fiction fan who has read hundreds of books in this genre. She managed to take a very likeable and relatable protagonist and gives life to a smart investigator. Determination, creative detecting skills and courage lead her to see the mysteries through.
This thirteenth book has everything I look for in a good mystery: intriguing characters, comic situations, an eye-catching cover and an enthralling narrative.

"Suspect" is the 13th book in the Samantha Jamison Mystery series written by Peggy A. Edelheit. This time, Sam's safety is threatened again. Strange things happen and Sam is determined to find out what the truth. Which neighbours are involved in this mystery?
This isn't the first book I've read in this series, but this author still amazes me. The books in the series are original, fresh and with a great protagonist like Samantha. Author Peggy Edelheit certainly knows how to entertain readers. Her books have the perfect combination of mystery and a bit of suspense. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.

Suspect is the last book in the thirteen-part series known as the
Samantha Jamison Mystery. It’s a great thriller series that was
written by Peggy A. Edelheit and she knocked it out of the park!
Samantha’s a bit of a rule breaker when it comes to things, after a
week of things lying low her and her crew get bored. This leads to her
itching for a new mystery, thankfully her mailman delivers! A murder right next door, new neighbours that are suspicious, and
possibly a hired killer? All of this and more in her last book in the series. It’s a fantastic thrilling and exciting read that really pedals to the metal when it arrives at the mystery, great book!

This is another exquisite and captivating novel written by author Peggy A. Edelheit.
In this thriller, that is number thirteen of the series, Samantha Jamison is the main protagonist, a believable and intriguing woman who does everything to solve the mysteries that surround her. I’ve to say that the writing style is so good that I felt trapped guessing the clues together with the characters. And the plot was woven very well bringing all their different personalities in.
As soon as I picked up this piece of work, I get cozy on my couch and I immediately felt on the edge of my seat.
This novel, as well as the previous Peggy books, is impossible to put down!

memorable characters and full of surprises
Suspect is the thirteenth installment in the Samantha Jamison Mystery series and features a main character who is both memorable and charming. It gives a bit of the Sherlock Holmes vibes, with the sense of humor rolling throughout the story. I’ve always been a big fan of thrillers and mystery reads, and this one is very well written and takes readers along on a journey with turns and twists around every corner. I would recommend reading about Samantha’s detective journey to any reader who has a craving for some mystery and enjoys their main character with a bit of sass. Although this is the 13th installment, it’s my first experience reading from the author but I am looking forward to experiencing more of her stories.

Once again, I was captivated by the work of Peggy A. Edelheit . I have read the author's previous works in this same series and just like those books, this additional installment is a winner. I enjoyed the vibrant characterization of the heroine Samantha Jamison as she embarks on a new adventure. What I loved most about this book is that it offers the same kind of enjoyable vibe as the previous books I have read while at the same time, also offering something different when it comes to plot.
The writing style and the way the dialogues were handled were very impressive. It's something that glues me to the story from start to finish. I also loved how humor was incorporated alongside the mystery and how the supporting characters were very well designed to put chemistry together with Samantha. It totally made up a more intriguing book. Another well-done work!

Suspect is book number 13 in “The Samantha Jamison Mystery Book” series. It is a suspense and mystery story written by Peggy A. Edelheit. All the books in the series are stand-alone volumes and present the same protagonist, Samantha Jamison. I love this character. She is clever and problems and mysteries seem to follow her wherever she goes. And, of course, she needs to solve them by putting her life at risk and having a lot of fun along the way.
Samantha is a curious author that is always ready to solve a good mystery. Luckily, as soon as she finishes with one, another intrigue is knocking at her door. This time in the form of something strange happening in her neighbourhood.
I enjoyed this book a lot. With her usual skill and ability, the author presents this very well-written story that is bound to enchant readers from the first word. This is a thrilling and compelling story that shouldn’t be missed.

Suspect by Peggy A. Edelheit is the thirteenth installment of The Samantha Jamison Mystery Book Series. Sam is a sleuth and mystery writer. Up until now, we’ve seen her in many corners (both of the world and figuratively) and have well-learned that Sam can’t keep her nose out of others’ business—even on vacation, but especially in her own neighborhood. After a tip from the mailman, with sleuth team Martha, Betty, and Hazel in tow, Sam must examine a variety of suspects in this ghostly mystery. This wasn’t my favorite Samantha Jamison Book, but I like that it stayed true to the tone of the series and ended in a place where I’m happy for Sam even if another never comes.

An outcome that catches you off guard, that breaks schemes, and that makes the work have a hidden meaning that is revealed. Without a doubt, a fantastic conclusion. We find ourselves once again in an environment charged with mystery and tension. A novel that does not disappoint, highly recommended. I'm a big fan of author Peggy A. Edelheit!

The 13th book of a long and enthralling series of tales is just as catchy as the first one. Suspect by Edelheit is one of those mystery tales one cannot stop reading because all the ingredients it has add something extra that contributes to a final conclusion that one does not see coming. It is original in essence and it is built up with exciting vocabulary and a
witty way of telling us how the story unfolds. Even though this is another installment, the book can be read as a standalone and be understood anyway.
Samantha, the main character in this book is just something else, I loved her, she has been crafted perfectly well for this fast page-turner. Recommended!

I knew I was going to love this book even from the very beginning page. I am a sucker for books that start out each chapter with a good quote. This book does not disappoint. I hadn’t read the first books in the series because I bought this off a whim and the description of the book without realizing it was the 13th in the series. Now I get to go back and read Sam’s other adventures and mysteries which I am excited about. Peggy A. Edelheit is one heck of an author because Sam is a hilarious, likable character and I know with this book, there’s a good setup to catch you in the story. Mystery can be difficult to keep your audience engaged and not drown them with details but Edelheit does so well with humor and dialogue and interactions between Sam, the main character, her mystery gang, and other characters within the story. Imagine a senior / mid-adult version of Nancy Drew as an author and her friends with some romance thrown in and you have a good idea of what Sam’s adventures are like. I don’t want to give away too much because you have to decide on your own and through Sam’s investigations who the true suspect is. Enjoy because I know I did!

I have read mysteries discussing antiques sold at Sotheby's and Christie's dealing with inheritance and inherited objects, but this was about the lost bracelet meant for someone's mom. The original owner passed away, and the bracelet lost after his demise. Their house has fallen into different hands until purchased by a family member.
In enters Martha and her crew, mystery hunters and solvers, all in the name to find information on a newly written mystery. Hired by Blythe to find the lost bracelet, she ran into Shorty, the cook turned investigator, who was also searching for the bracelet and causing the new owner problems.
The two solve the case but not in the way you think. I will give you a clue: the bracelet is closer than anyone thought, and Shorty gave it to them. I think.
One you want to read until the end in one sitting. You will be happy you did.

Samantha and her crew are freshly out from solving a mystery and already itch for a new one. She doesn’t have to look far; right next door at the horse farm, a new neighbor, Henry W. Longfellow seems shrouded with secrets. A series of alarming dark buried secrets threaten to disturb Sam’s security again. She dives right into the action before everything starts crumbling again with unpredictable consequences. Historic and hilarious, Sam does it again! I am a big fan of the author's mysteries, and Suspect sets new standards. Sam is brilliant as usual, and the comical circumstances are just amazing. I enjoyed the journey with Sam as she unlocked the mystery and saved the day. I highly recommend it!

Entertaining, but a bit disappointing
Although this is book 13 of a series, this is the first I have read of this series and author. It is a clean, standalone novel written in Samantha Jamison‘s, a writer and amateur sleuth, POV. It is a comedy of errors, watching Sam and her accomplices attempt to solve a mystery. Having supposedly solved twelve other mysteries, they are blundering about and do not really do anything besides spy and speculate. It was very slow and I found the storyline rather disjointed. It starts with one mystery, then it changes to a second, then jumps back to the first in the last chapter. It all gets tied up in a neat little bow, but it was rather far-fetched. While the characters are likeable and the author has a wonderful gift for imagery and banter, I just was not impressed with this mystery, or the heroine getting into trouble and constantly saved by others.

Following the story of Samantha Jamison, a daring lady with a taste for danger and mystery. Solving mysteries together with her team. How convenient for her when the mystery is just next door. She never thought that getting to know the neighbour presents more mystery than just solving the murder. With a few suspects in mind, it's like reading into a mystery dinner train kind of story. “It was the butler!” kind of story. Sam’s character is really entertaining and infectiously smart and witty. With a dash of humour and more than a spoonful of mystery, you would enjoy reading along the story. It is a quick but eventful read! If you are looking for a quick mystery pallet cleanser this is the series for you!

A thriller with a funny sarcastic humor.
Suspect is the thirteenth and the last book in the Samantha Jamison Mystery series written by Peggy A. Edelheit. If it's not easy to write a good series of two or three books, I can't imagine what it's like to write one of thirteen books; and I must say that Edelheit made it.
This time, Samantha and her team will face an unknown thief, an irate chef, an artist accused of murder, intriguing neighbours, a dubious assistant and a dead woman, and all the adventures that can develop from this.
True to style, the author offers a great thriller with a different touch that borders the supernatural. It is interesting, thrilling and funny, all at the same time. I read it very easily.

If you're looking for a cozy mystery that will make you laugh out loud, then “Suspect” (Samantha Jamison Mystery Book 13) by Peggy A. Edelheit is the book for you! The humor in this book is spot-on and had me laughing out loud. But despite the humor, there's also a genuine mystery to be solved. The author does a great job of weaving together clues and red herrings to keep the reader guessing until the very end. And when the solution is finally revealed, it's both satisfying and surprising.
Overall, the book is a delightful and charming read that will have you laughing and guessing until the very end. It's perfect for fans of cozy mysteries, women sleuths, and anyone who loves a good laugh. Highly recommended!

Suspect is the 13th book of the Samantha Jamison Mystery series written by Peggy A. Edelheit. This time Sam and her crew are bored after having solved their last mystery. Thankfully, the miracle happens and one morning when the mailman leaves her mail, the new mystery arrives. They start gossiping about her new neighbour and her mind begins to brainstorm many queries about him that obviously, she must solve. This book really captures the readers´ attention. Each chapter is more exciting than the last one and you can´t stop reading it. The quirky humour and enigmatic ending will probably leave some readers confused but others delighted. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good and entertaining time.

This book reads like a Young Adult novel: simple writing, simple plot, and excessive dramatics. The only reason I don't think it's meant to be a YA novel is because of the age of the main characters: 3 seniors in their 70s and 3 adults in their 30s who form a sort of Babysitters Club for solving mysteries. The very simple plot of mysterious new neighbors and a hint of a love triangle between the 30-year-olds in the Mystery Solvers Club are stretched out to make up the entirety of this book, with a bunch of plot twists and surprise reveals thrown in towards the end. If you're looking for a very, very easy read, this would be a good book for that.

The author Peggy A. Edelheit surprises us with book number 13 in Samantha Jamison Mystery series, Suspect. This book is about a new investigation that the protagonist starts when she meets a new neighbor, Henry W. Longfellow. You will find different captivating plot twists, adventure, suspense, and intrigue. The author knows how to keep us engaged in the book, and it is very well described, you will feel every step that detective Samantha takes during the investigation. It is an entertaining book, you will never get bored reading Peggy's books, her storytelling is amazing, and that is the reason why she has so many books so far. I recommend it.

Samantha Jamison comes back with her funny personality and cleverness in this 13th delivery, written by Peggy Edelheit. On this occasion, Sam and her friends are looking for a new case, and very soon they will find one, a case filled with confusing developments that end up putting her life in danger!
I really like Sam´s books because it mixes historical and theoretical knowledge with fun and mystery. It is the type of book designed for young adults but not limited to, since the books can be read in order or separately, is an easy-read short story that keeps a fabulous level of intrigue at all times, with a few edge-of-the-seat moments.

I was not sure whether I should read this book, since it is number 13 in the Samantha Jamison Mystery series, but I am glad that I tried it. The author Peggy A. Edelheit does a good job of writing a fresh and funny mystery that does not feel like it is book 13 in a series, nor was it difficult to follow the story without knowing the previous books. The protagonist, Detective Samantha Jamison, gets embroiled in a wild and unlikely mystery after she decides to investigate her mysterious new neighbour, Henry W. Longfellow. If you like detective stories with a sarcastic and wry humour and a bit of romance thrown in, then this is a good choice for you.

“Suspect” by Peggy A. Edelheit is a Samantha Jamison Mystery and Sam is back and ready for more ridiculous adventures and insane mysteries. Luckily for her, she is, once again, surrounded by a host of quirky and dubious neighbors, including a very suspicious chef and an artist who might just be a murderer. Mystery and comedy abound in this light-hearted romp of a thriller.
Edelheit’s signature style is fast-moving and not overly complex, focusing on the humor and the over-the-top events in the story. While the book may not be the deepest read out there, it is definitely a fun, quick read for thriller and suspense fans, with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure.

I enjoy mystery books with lead female detectives, when I was younger all novels like this would have male detectives, so I like to see powerful women solving cases even in fiction.
"Suspect" is book number 13 in the Samantha Jamison Mystery series. Once again, Sam is smelling something fishy about her new neighbour and once she starts investigating him more, a lot of stuff begins to come up. A great book filled with adventures and suspense from author Peggy A. Edelheit. I like her style and I'm going to be checking more adventures from Detective Jamison for sure. Readers into mystery, operation and investigators are definitely going to enjoy this one.
