A hilarious celebrity secret identity romcom for fans of sweet romance, happily ever afters, and goat yoga. When my twin sister died, she asked me to finish her bucket list before our 30th birthday. I've managed to fulfill every item on the list in her memory except for sing a public duet with Dylan Colt. My birthday is one week away. I have sponsors. I have fans.
Everyone is rooting for me to reach my goal except Dylan, the jerk who said no...and is now standing in front of me in his kitchen, wearing nothing but a towel. (What kind of celebrity greets his personal chef in a towel, anyway?)
Clearly I've been given another chance to convince him to help me, but he'll fire me if I tell him who I am. A teeny little white lie about my identity might buy me some time to fulfill my sister's dying wish. In the meantime, I refuse to think about how he looked standing there with wet hair, because...wow. It isn't only his voice he's famous for. Ahem.
One thing's for sure—I definitely cannot spring for the boy band star.
A springtime romantic comedy with laugh-out-loud moments and all the feels for fans of rom-com celebrity romance, secret identities, and yes--goat yoga. The full-length books in this series can be read as stand-alones or in any order.
Four couples. Four seasons. One park to match them all.

Cute premise but overall it just didn't land for me. I feel like there was no sense of time. Was this all in the course of a week? Or two? Everything happened way too fast to be believable.
Harper lost her twin sister nearly a year ago, and she's been trying to finish the bucket list that her sister started. She only has one adventure left - sing a duet with former boy-band star Dylan Colt. He turns her down flat, thinking that she's a scammer, only for her followers (she has A LOT of them) to embark on a crusade to change his mind.
At the same time, she's looking to level up at her job, which is currently being an assistant to chefs who cook for celebrities. When one chef is down for the count, Harper is called up to the majors. (Why am I using all these video game and sports metaphors? Just bear with me.)
I'll bet you can guess which celebrity is her client.
What follows is a charming (and sometimes heartbreaking) love story, with Harper pretending she has a different last name, and Dylan venting to her about the "other" Harper's crusade to get him to sing with her. It's not her, though, that's doing all of that -- it's her followers. And Dylan has another problem - he wants to go solo, has even recorded most of an album of his own songs, but the rest of his former bandmates want to do a reunion tour, which would put off (probably forever) any solo career.
Harper can't help falling for Dylan, and he's falling right back, but we all know what happens when you aren't honest with the person you're dating. The lies always come out. Always.
The stories of these two characters are similar; Harper lost her twin, and Dylan lost his father. Harper is just about the only person in his circle that understands what he's going through, and the climax of the story had me nearly sobbing at the beauty of it all. MY HEART!!!
I am THAT woman, the one who feels everything, all of the time, with no off switch, and this book set off a fluttering in my chest. I loved it, and now I have to read everything this author has ever written.
Thanks to Cindy Rae Hale, whose email about this author led me to getting all four of the books in the series. You all should do the same.
I really loved the plot. It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. First of all, I felt her struggle to get the work she deserved. It's really tough sometimes, so I liked that it was portrayed here.
Dylan made sure all the chefs went running down the hill 😂. This man was a little confusing & rough. I did get his apprehension with the whole song thing, but the way he reacted had more to do with his past & how it was still hurting him.
The first meeting between Dylan & Harper was epic. Their chemistry & how they started trusting each other was really sweet. I loved the small tour, it was cute. The scene in the pool was fire🔥.
That plot twist! I didn't see it coming that way... I knew it was bound to happen but not that way! The drama was intense haha but it fitted the plot. I liked that they talked about how it made them feel straight away. Yes, they were still mad about it, but they communicated their feelings.
I loved the final chapters, they were cute! I'm glad how he finally came to realize what was going on. One small thing that I felt was missing, FOR ME, was a little more connection with the solving of the problem & the final act. I just would've loved a little more communication between them before the big gesture. Nonetheless, this story was super cute and I will definitely be reading this series.
⚠️TW: grief & loss of a loved one.
🕶️ * I was kindly gifted an ARC from the author. This doesn't influence in any form my review/opinion of the book*
Look, I love a quick read as much as the next woman but this was YA to the max. I won’t spoil it for you.
The plot - as I say, it’s more of a YA palate cleanser. Workplace romance because she’s his personal chef, he’s a boy band star. Forced proximity as well, and it was just a sweet story. A HEA in a series of interconnected standalones (obviously!) and there is no smut, I am sad to say. Everything felt very… immature and childish. It undercut the deeper themes throughout the book to me. And the revelations at the end felt abrupt and out of place. I don’t know, it just wasn’t a love from me.
The MC - I liked Harper. She has fire. I don’t like her morality that appears and disappears at whim, but we can’t all be perfect. She’s intelligent and impulsive and reminds me of me hahaaaaa. Anyway, she cute or whatever.
The male counterpart - Dylan was a bit of a cunt. What asshole insults a woman trying to memorialise her dead twin sister? Dylan Colt is who. I don’t know, he was very selfish and a dick and ughhh I wanted to like him and I didn’t.
This was a lovely read. I’m always game for a celebrity romance. I grabbed this one from my huge kindle stock because it is a secret identity romance. I used to adore those in the billionaire trope, but now the tension has my belly turning. I loved these characters and their genuine hearts. They’ve both loved and lost. Harper’s twin sister left her a bucket list to complete before their next birthday after she died. Dylan is a rock star who doesn’t want to be manipulated. When they have an online altercation and Harper finds herself his next chef, she panics. There are plenty of swoony moments in this book and times of laughter. There is some talk about how clothing looks on their bodies, but this is still a sweet, no spice - all swoony heat with long kisses - romance. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
A very enjoyable romantic love story. Great characters and setting. Harper is an aspiring chef who has been delegated to purchase ingredients for the celebrity chefs. Her twin sister passed away and left her a bucket list to complete before their 30th birthday. Dylan is a boy band star that Harper has crushed on for many years. Her twin sister has listed singing a duet with Dylan as one of the tasks. The heartwarming romance begins when Harper unexpectedly gets chosen to be a personal chef for Dylan. A very feel good story to read.
In this book we find a FMC grieving her twin death and trying to fullfill a bucket list before her 30th birthday, and a "former" boyband member who has trust issues. Their first interaction is when he declines on twitter to sing a duet with her for the bucket list, so when she meets him in his house being his personal chef, she "changes" her surname so he doesn't recognice her. It's slow burn, and an only kissing book.
📖 Just Won’t Spring for the Boy Band Star by Sash Hart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A light, fun read that had me smiling more than once. The bucket list twist was adorable, and the easy, steady kind of love felt so comforting. I love when a romance doesn’t have to be dramatic to feel real. 💗
If you’re in the mood for a feel-good YA with boy band vibes, sweet persistence, and a hint of spring energy — give this one a shot!
🫶🏻 Favorite part? The love that just doesn’t give up.
I got this book from a Stuff Your Kindle Day a few months ago and I honestly didn’t give it much thought. However, I absolutely LOVED this book. It was such a sweet romance that made for the perfect quick read. I honestly was not expecting to enjoy it this much and am so happy I finally decided to read it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This came so close to being the most formulaic trope story ever (manic pixie dream girl but make it a boy band lead singer and his celebrity chef). It was saved by the parts of the story about grieving the loss of the people they loved the most and living out the lives those people would have wanted them to live.
Oh, Harper and Dylan, such a great couple. I love how hard they worked to get to their happily ever after. I loved how they learned to love each other and trust each other, and in themselves as well.
I worried that the novel would feel forced into an overdone plot but it worked out super cute. Harper and Dylan had misunderstanding and struggle that felt real and they worked through it wonderfully.
This book was great! Plenty of sizzle without any spice. I loved the main female character—she was quirky. I also loved that it was dual POV. I like knowing what the guy is thinking (;
I am soo sorry but I hated this book It read like a fanfic that was written by a 12 year old in 2012…. I really wanted to love this because i too have an obsession w boy bands, I just did not..:(
