Read for a class... interesting topics but presentation is very bland. Although possibly a useful textbook in the past, the information provided in the book is not much more than what I would find in a Wikipedia search. Used in an undergraduate history class on post-reconstruction America as well as a history independent study... Overall, not bad for a textbook, but not an enjoyable aestetic read.
