This was a quick and very entertaining read! It's sweet sapphic romance paired with steamy sexting scenes, which I really enjoyed. The main characters, Joni and Colette, were fun to read about and had good chemistry with eachother. I especially loved coming across some representation of different ages and body types than is usual in romance and erotica -- the characters are in their 30s-40s I think, and they are both written as attractive and sexy without needing to have a body that is super skinny or fits the absurd expectations of ~flawlessness~ placed upon bodies in our society.

Highly recommend this if you like sapphic stories that are both sweet and spicy :)

3 stars. No, because wtf was that ending? Colette and Joni have this great chemistry and we get some really, really hot sexting between them but it ends when they meet up? I’m salty. This was good though I was just waiting on them to get together in person.

I bought and read this after a friend's recommendation and, despite having never read any erotica before, this short story proved to be a great introduction. The feelings of the characters felt familiar (at least relative to me as a man who isn't a lesbian) and that definitely helped with my enjoyment of the story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Verity can captures these very specific cozy but spicy vibes in short form like few other writers.
I am not at all surprised they made me like this little story when I am usually lukewarm about mutual masturbastion.
